He took apart our dryer, found that the sound was coming from some rocks and Bobby pins that I probably didn't empty from my daughter's pockets. But he checked all the parts and said they looked great. He helped me clean some of the excess lint from the drum edges. My diagnosis was that the drain tube (inaccessible on this small refrigerator) and thermostat were freezing up due to the drain hose being blocked by ice. So I was interested in finding out, and if whoever came would try to "upsell" me unneeded repairs or parts. The phone was answered immediately and the nice lady made me an appointment in about 2 hours from when I called...pretty remarkable. I figured it would be a day or 2. When Sergey arrived, he was totally professional, he had the right small tools to pry the plastic covers off the back of the freezer, and let me watch, and sure enough the whole system of the drain, thermostat, etc, was totally frozen and not working. (I had been using a hairdryer on that area the last few days to thaw things out and keep it working, but I knew that there had to be more area frozen than I could affect with the hair dryer). So my diagnosis was correct. Would Sergey do what I feared most repair guys would try? Tell me it was something else, a part was broken, etc??? Absolutely NOT. He explained what was happening, HONESTLY and went to work, the most important tool he had with him ( I guess because of how I described the problem to the lady on the phone) was a sort of electric water kettle, but it could aim the stream of steam directly on an affected area. He had everything melted in maybe 15 minutes, everything was in working order, he sealed everything back up without cracking any of the plastic (!), and then we advanced to payment. Here, he actually did delete the charge for visit/diagnosis, as advertised, and I paid him a reasonable price, and now a week later everything still perfect. I really needed this fixed if possible , it is for my very small kitchen, the only refrigerator that would ever fit (only 24"x 26"x 62") and I had been shopping around online and could not find any new fridges that were that size, only smaller, and this one is so small that I basically have to go to the store every 2 or 3 days as it is. So high marks for Evotech, something that is getting harder and harder to say nowadays. The only minor niggle is that there was no warranty or anything on the repairs. But because I had never discussed that before he began work, I just accepted the fact and REALLY needed that refrigerator working again, and based on his professionalism and his discussion with me that the problem may have been the insulation on the rear of the plastic panels in the freezer had begun to deteriorate (it's 10 years old) and he could not replace that anyway. Honest, Professional, Friendly, I'm satisfied.

My wife and I contacted them for a fridge repair. They sent us a technician named Erick B, and we are going to be their customer for all the appliance issues. Erick is very polite and on time, and if there's a delay and is going to be late, he will let you know on timely manner. He explained everything as he worked on the fridge, and although the repair ended up not being possible as we were going to need a new fridge, he really did everything he could to save the fridge and us a lot of money. On top of all that, what sold me to recommend this company and decided to call them for all of our appliance needs is their customer support and aftercare service. When the first diagnosis and fix didn't repair the problem, Erick came out to do a second diagnosis and when we concluded that it's a compressor failure, he helped us research for a quality fridge to replace our old one. I was fine with it and then had the service done. I paid and left. When I got home, I looked over the bill and saw that it was higher than what was quoted through Yelp for the pads. I contacted the owner and he said that he gave me a verbal quote and then said he gave me better pads( which is not reflected on the invoice or told to me prior to the work was done) and then went back to he gave me a verbal quote for the difference in price. The verbal quote he told me he gave was not even the price he charged me. Overall the service was good and quick. The quoting and charging was my issue. I will take ownership that I didn't inspect the final invoice before paying but I still think that the business owner should have honored his original quote and if an upgraded part was used and was billed (according to the owner) then should be approved beforehand.

I found Ekrantech from a friend who liked the reviews, so he recommended that I give Alex a call to see if he could help me out with my Maytag Washer which wasn't working. I get nervous with any service repair (home or car) because I feel like they see a woman coming and cha-ching the service price just doubled. So when Alex came, I felt nervous...but then he did his thing taking in a full review of the machine and finding the problem. He was fully honest on the pricing of the repair and recommended a few options for me, which were great. I felt no pressure and appreciated his honesty. You'd think it would of ended there, but he noticed that I was having issues with my garbage disposal and I told him that I needed to get a new one. He said, can I take a look at it and he did. He did a few tricks of his trade and boom...no need for a new disposal, he fully fixed it. Alex had such amazing customer service and patience. He totally went above and beyond in helping me out. I didn't realize that he fixes so much more than just the appliances but even TV's as well. Once you find a person like this, you keep that business card on file for any other problems you come up with. I will definitely use and recommend Alex (Ekrantech) again and again. I first used Alex last year when my mother-in-law was having trouble with a clothes washer. Alex determined the washer was beyond repair and only charged a minimal service call. A few weeks ago I had to call Alex again because my mother-in-law's oven would not reach temperature and had a strong odor of gas. Alex determined the issue was an igniter that was out of adjustment. This was due to the oven being moved to repair the kitchen flooring weeks before. The gas smell was due to a poorly installed silicone oven mat. The mat was too large and was covering the vents at the bottom of the oven. Alex was very professional! I was able to handle everything over the phone and the repair cost was super reasonable. My LG washer stopped draining water one day, and I couldn't get it fixed myself. The LG authorized repair services were all either out of my area or unable to service my specific model. And they were super difficult to reach and contact, too. I reached out to AB Appliance, and immediately received response, and got an appointment quickly. Pricing was also more transparent than the others who were unwilling to give a clear pricing practice. The technician came to my house and was very polite and thorough in his investigation, and explained to me what the problem was and what to look out for in the future. When my microwave went kaput, I called Ekrantech and Alex immediately answered, listened to my problem and scheduled a next-day appointment. He arrived on time, and for $45 he worked for several hours trying to find a way to resurrect my microwave. In the end, he took it back to his store for further evaluation, then called me the following day. In my case, the microwave was unfixable, but Alex had researched the best deals he could find for me to replace this one right away. I don't think I've ever had so much great service for only $45. EKRANTECH is my first choice when it comes to electronics repair. They were able to fix my Samsung TV and at the same time install it back on the wall for a low and acceptable fee(much lower than my installer company who I initially trusted that they will give me the best deal because I was a returning customer for them) Absolutely NOT. Alex was amazing. He replied to my yelp message instantly and personally came out to diagnose the next day. And he's the owner! My burner wasn't working on my gas range and my fridge was leaking. He diagnosed that the burner needed to be replaced and gave tips on what typically causes freezers to leak to save us repair costs. Honest guy!
