Whenever I hire a company to do work for me at my house I look for a few things: 1. Do what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it (and communicate with me about it) 2. Be polite, friendly and professional and treat my property like it's your own 3. Do high quality work EJ's hits all three. I had a short deadline to get several rooms painted and Joe and Jen were quick to respond, super friendly, able to fit me into their schedule and kept me up to date on timing. The crew doing the work did a fantastic job and the work that they did looks far, far better than the last painters we hired. We had a two-story foyer with a front staircase, a two-story back staircase, upstairs landing, family room, kitchen, basement staircase and hallway painted. Part of what they do (which I initially didn't think would be much of a difference) was spending several hours just spackling and sanding. Our walls are so much smoother than they've been--almost all of the imperfections from when we built the house are gone (and our basements steps, which I think the builder just didn't care about, look like they're from someone else's house). I probably can't stress enough how important that part of the job is and I'll never have any painting done without that being part of it (and likely wouldn't hire any other painters besides EJ's at this point anyway). Paint came out gorgeous--great edge work, no drips, no imperfections and super smooth. So thank you, EJ's, for a fantastic job done on time and within budget. Joe came to do estimate.right away he complained he likes commercial work mainly.yet he knew I was residential because I was asked about job when I called.he said I'd have an easy Friday yet still no estimate.He obviously didn't want the job so he should of put his big boy panties and been honest.People like this are what's wrong with companies today read more

High praise for Joe and his team. Last month we hired EJ's Painting and Pressure Washing for a large job at our house. We had used them in the past for some smaller jobs (pressure washing and outdoor trim). Because we were happy with their work in the past, they were top of mind for our larger job. One of our neighbors has used them multiple times and said she'd never use anyone else. She has hired EJs for work in her home and for a commercial job at the local fire house. This time we hired EJ's to paint the entire interior of our 4-bedroom colonial house (except for the small bedrooms). The scope of the job was large. It included: * Paint walls, ceiling and trim (base and crown moulding) * Paint stairs and railing * Paint built in cabinets in master bedroom suite and office * Paint cabinets in kitchen and laundry room We really can't say enough positive things about Joe and his team. He's a small local business in the community. When he came out to scope the job for the cost estimate, he was prompt, courteous and professional. During the consultation for the estimate, he made some great suggestions about how to paint the steps. The steps are builders grade steps, which had been carpeted. They are stunning now! When we signed the contract in September, we asked for the job to be completed during the week prior to Thanksgiving. Joe honored his commitment to the schedule. Before Joe arrived, much of the communication around the contract was with Joe's wife. She was also very responsive, friendly and professional. We had a number of questions and increased the scope of the job. It was an easy and painless process. Joe's crew are consummate professionals and are true masters of their craft. They spent the first day prepping the walls, which included sanding and spackling. They were very neat and respectful of our home. We had hired a color consultant (Amy) from the local Benjamin Moore store (Burlington Design Center). That was money well spent. Amy had great color and product recommendations. We wanted a bold color for the dining room, but we didn't care for the first color we chose (our fault, not Amy's). I am mentioning this because Joe's team painted the dining room three times and did not complain about it. They took it all in stride. It is often stressful having contractors doing work in your house. However, this was a very positive experience. I was almost sorry when the job was done, because they were a joy to have here. I don't know Joe personally, so this is truly an unsolicited and unbiased review. He did not ask me to write it. I'm writing this simply to help out my neighbors. Beth M. read more

These guys are a MUST USE! We bought a new home that needed an entire interior paint job. We just saw the completed project and it is phenomenal. They painted extra things we didn't think to ask for including all the doors and the inside of the front door. They removed an old intercom system and patched the holes meticulously. The dry wall needed fixing as well and they did it without notice. These guys are professionals and I will definitely recommend them to anyone!!!!
