We had EJC out for our real estate team's first annual Easter hop, and it was a huge success thanks to them. All of the children were able to interact with the animals. They're all so calm and looked healthy and clean. The ladies that handled the animals were so sweet and attentive to the children as well as the animals. THE OWNER of EJC Farms (Edward Lee Robinson) does not provide immediate medical attention for his injured animals. I took my children to a festival yesterday. One of the attractions were a petting zoo and pony ride provided by EJC Farms. The young employee taking tickets was very polite. The animals were precious. Then my daughter pointed down to a baby goat. It's leg was so contorted that I became nausested. The tiny goat wasn't a buckling or small doe. This was a baby "Kid" no more than 7-8 weeks old. It was still trying to nurse on another lactating doe. At first, I thought maybe the crooked leg were a birth deformity but the tiny goat showed obvious signs of pain and suffering such as; Whimpering, limping, falling at the slightest bump from a child or animal passing by, unable to maintain balance, trouble standing up after falling. I had to put my 1 1/2 year old toddler down so i could redirect the goat and keep other animals and people from stepping on the injured animal. After a closer look at the animals leg and it was painfully clear that this animal needed medical attention ASAP. I knew the festival still had 2 hours before closing so I asked the man at the gate if he knew the goat was injured. He said "the little black & white one? Yes ma'am, we know. One of the larger animals steeped in it while they were traveling in the trailer today." A lady standing nearby heard the conversation and pointed out who she thought was in charge of the animals. This is how that went: ME: Hello there. I wanted to let you know that one of your small goats is injured. EDWARD LEE ROBINSON: Yes, I know. One of the animals stepped on it while they were in the trailer today. It ain't broke. ME: (my smile immediately disappeared) Ok..... maybe it's not a severe break, but it could be something that needs medical attention and requires rest. EDWARD LEE ROBINSON: It ain't broke. ME: Yes, you already said that. The animal is injured, sir. Did a vet look at the goat and verify that it's not broken. EDWARD LEE ROBINSON: ...No. It ain't broke. () ME: (voice shaking so bad i sounded like a goat myself) That's so cruel. ....You are so cruel. I hoped for him to elaborate on his weak ass rebuttal but got nothing more. His vague replies and uninterested facial expression was a sign that i was wasting time trying to reason with a person who wouldn't show mercy to a baby animal in severe pain. From what I saw, there was only one transport trailer to transport ALL of the animals. I'm guessing at least 24 animals combined, ranging from the smallest/youngest goat weighing about 12lbs compared to a calf and Shetland ponies weighing between 500-550 lbs. This injured goat was about the size of my Boston terrier. Why in the bloody hell would a 12 lb goat be next to a 500 lb pony while traveling from magnolia to spring? I hate giving someone a bad review, but if you would have seen the baby animal suffering and no one doing anything to help them, you would do the same. read more

EJC Farms came out to our house for our daughter's 4th Birthday with 2 ponies and they were easy to plan/schedule. They were flexible with our time as I asked them to move up the show time by 30 mins the night before. They arrived on time and were friendly and ready to go. They helped create memories for my daughter that will last a life time. She along with the other kids had a great time riding the ponies. I would definitely recommend them if your looking for some ponies for a party. They were also the most reasonably priced! Thank you again! Dad of a very happy 4 YO! read more

I recently encountered EJC Farms at a local book store who hosted a petting zoo. The animals were extremely malnourished. The animals were so skinny to where they were competing with one another for the grass. I would never reach out to them for any events. read more

Excellent Party experience ! Owner ,Ed, was great to deal with. This was for 3 year Twins birthday. Ed worked with us to create a great party for 3 yr - 10 yr old guests. These people are wonderful!! They came out to my daughter's first birthday with a petting zoo and ponies. They set up very quickly and they brought various animals that were well taken care of. There was a baby goat that the kids absolutely loved and kept picking up and holding. The kids had a blast with the petting zoo! The owner was as nice as could be and walked those ponies up and down the street what seemed like a hundred times. Their prices were very reasonable to me and I would definitely use them again. I feel very lucky to have found them. The 2 ladies handling the 2 ponies are very polite, friendly and taking good care of the little ones climbing to the ponies. It was a hot day and they did their job diligently. All the kids had a great time riding the ponies. Everything was smooth and safe. The price is so reasonable. I am so pleased with them. read more

I had a wonderful experience with EJC farms at my daughter's 2nd birthday this weekend. We booked the petting zoo and pony ride for one hour, and they did an awesome job. They actually got the petting zoo set up and running about a half hour early, for no extra charge, which was awesome. The men staffing the petting zoo were very nice and did a great job, introducing us to the animals and informing us about their ages. The kids, of course, LOVED the petting zoo. You get a LOT of animals for your money -- I didn't read the website closely, and I was surprised to find out that 15-20 animals would be coming. (About six of them were baby ducks, though, so it wasn't too much.) The pen fits fine into an average suburban backyard, and the animals are all very sweet and calm. They were fine with the kids petting them and being around them. They also extended our time by a half hour, at a very decent rate, because they had plenty of time before their next party and ours was still going strong, so ask about that if you feel like you are running out of time before you're ready. The best part was, my 2 year old was hesitant to get on the pony, but the lead guy, Robert, told us to go ahead and put her on the pony even if she was crying, that he'd seen lots of kids once they were on it calm down and have a blast. So we tried it, and she did! She actually did one round on the pony, and we got adorable pictures, and everyone was clapping for her. That advice alone was such a great addition to our party. I would 100% recommend this company for any event or party -- even a much larger even than a personal birthday party, like a fundraiser or something. They were 100% professional, on time, provided exactly what we wanted, and did a great job. read more
