Two years ago I donated our beautiful mare to the A&M equestrian team. Last year, one of their former athletes adopted her with the intentions to breed her. I said yes.I texted with Sayer every three to four months to check on Aimee, Sayer always responded she was doing great, etc. I texted her on July 30th and Sayer texted back that she was great, sent a pic of the horse eating hay etc.(the picture was obviously an old picture) About three weeks ago, my daughter received a phone call that a lady in Magnolia had possession of the mare.. She had found my daughter through the mare's show records. My daughter drove to see the mare that coming weekend and called me in tears. The mare was malnourished and had lost a substantial amount of weight. However, the lady was willing to give her back to us. I tried calling and texting Sayer about why the mare was in Magnolia and not at Edgebrook Equestrian Center. Sayer did not want to talk about it much. She did admit that Aimee left her property on July 22nd. Sayer has taken her to a gypsy vanaar farm to supposedly see if one of their stallions could impregnate her. The 16.3 HH mare (Belgian Warmblood/Oldenburg approved mare) was not interested in dating a gypsy, so they in turn gave her to the lady in magnolia.
Sayer continually lied to us about the mare.
Sayer advertises herself as someone who is a professional trainer. If she did not want the mare, she had the easiest out available. She had my regular texts and she knew I had not just walked away from the mare. She flat out lied to me when I asked about her on July 30th, when the mare wasn't even there. I am grateful to the lady in magnolia who contacted my daughter and was willing to give her back to us to care for her.
If anyone would like further information, I have Sayer's texts initially saying the mare was on her property on July 30th and then confirming that she had left on July 22nd as well as before and after pictures of the horse.
