However, Dr. Dixon was such a disappointment and so frustrating to deal with. He tried to decrease my contact strength prescription without letting me even try on any trials (thank God for the woman checking me out who made sure to find some me to try on before we ordered because I would've been pissed off getting contacts that I couldn't see through), kept promoting some podcast he was going to be on, tried to tell me that my primary physician wasn't going to truly check on one of my health conditions that I needed to get an ultrasound from him instead, told me to look something up using AI, and couldn't dumb down an explanation of something that was, as he described it, "pretty sciency" (I'm a month away from having a masters degree in biology mind you). He tried to schedule me for an unnecessary procedure after telling him I'm losing my insurance very soon. He also stated he "wouldn't be mad" if I chose to stay with my original prescription instead of going with the lower strength one, as if a decision regarding my body and what is going to be best for me should include factoring in his emotions. A genuine disgrace to eye doctors who are actually worth a hoot. If you don't want to be scared into going to the doctor or receiving an unnecessary procedure, I recommend going elsewhere.

Turned out that my situation would require a procedure and the Woolfson Eye Institute could assist with resolving this matter. Dr. Salmonson in the College Park & Stockbridge offices is an extremely knowledgeable individual and he shares his insight in a very friendly manner with the patient. The office staff is great at making people feel welcome here and they act very professional around the patients. They're also great with helping to tackle those insurance policy headaches!! Each of their offices come equipped with a Keurig machine in the waiting area for that quick morning caffeine jolt, and their offices are quite clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend visiting the Woolfson Eye Institute for all of your eye care needs.

Dr. Woolfson and his staff are phenomenal! They came highly recommended by many friends on "Life…read morein the Bubble" FB page and they were totally right on! Such an easy process! Go for your free consult and a week and a half later, you are scheduled for eye surgery. They re-check your eyes multiple times to make sure that they have the correct prescription and everyone in the office is so kind! Dr. Woolfson himself is a nice man who put all of us at ease. The procedure was rather simple and routine! It took no more than 20 minutes with only a small amount of pressure and nothing to scary and I was 20/20. It was so easy, in fact, I couldn't believe that I waited this long to have it done! By bedtime, I could see perfect and the next day, I had legal driving vision- 20/20. No pain or discomfort. For anyone who is thinking of checking into LASIK, I highly recommend Dr. Woolfson and his team! Very professional and very good! I couldn't be more pleased!

She spent the time to answer many of my detailed questions with in depth answers and examples. She has a way to translate such complicated science about the eye in an informative digestible way. I'm so grateful to have found her on Yelp many months ago! Special shout-out to Emily! As a first time client, she was inviting and frankly fun to talk to. Also she helped me pick out the coolest pair of new glasses. PS- Dr Jen mentioned my prescription had hardly changed, so I wouldn't need a new pair of glasses. What?!? I don't think I've ever had a doctor not sell me on something. You got appreciate the honesty.

My recent appointment with Dr. Lindsay Eisenberg was efficient; however, during the exam, the doctor used her fingers to demonstrate slanted eyes while discussing dry eye and made a comment about Botox in relation to this. This gesture and remark were racially insensitive and have no place in patient care, as comments and gestures of this nature affect whether patients feel safe seeking care. I have decided not to return. Overall, the clinic runs smoothly, and don't forget to request your updated prescription at checkout!
