I was then moved to a waiting area where I sat for 20 minutes. I was then moved to an exam room where I waited another 20 minutes or so. All the while I was expecting to have my eyes dilated. The opthamologist finally came in alone (they usually arrive with a technician who enters data for the doctor). I put my chin on the rest and the dr. started looking in my eyes. At a point he sat back back and asked if I had declined dilation. I said no and that no one had mentioned a choice nor had anyone said anything one way or another about dilation. He excused himself and about 15 seconds later a technician arrived to dilate my eyes for a proper exam. 10 minutes later they both returned and the exam commenced. 10 minutes later it was all over and I received my new glasses prescription. I finally walked out of a 9:40 appointment a little after 12 noon. This is not the first time I've had an experience like this. About 3 years ago I was forced to wait about 4 hours before ever being seen. I've only stayed with them because they identified a detached retina and the doctor at the time called colleagues at a the premier hospital for eye surgery and got me set up with repair surgery a few hours later. He has since left the practice. After this experience it's time for me to do the same.

It's part of who I am. So, I adore places like Takle, which specialize in various styles, colors, and brands. Also, they are reasonably priced considering my prescription is high. Yes, I spend close to a thousand dollars on one pair, but because I have to wear glasses, I always purchase two to three pairs a year. So I was happy to come here and find a few stylish pairs, and I didn't have to break the bank.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This office does not value your time, your effort,…read moreor your health. I took two days off work just trying to be seen by a doctor here. The first day, I fasted from morning until my 2:30 p.m. appointment, no food, no water, nothing, only to arrive and be told the doctor was sick. I tried to be understanding and even rescheduled. When the day of my rescheduled appointment came, there was a bad car accident near my road that delayed me by twenty to thirty minutes. I still went because I believed they'd understand. After all, I gave them grace when they wasted eight hours of my day. But they didn't show me the same. They turned me away without hesitation. This place expects endless patience from patients but gives none in return. The doctor can stay home, the call center can miscommunicate, the staff can waste your entire day, and you're expected to be okay with it. But when life happens to you, suddenly there's no compassion, no flexibility, and no understanding. You're not a person here; you're a time slot on their schedule. They protect their doctors, not their patients. They don't care that people have jobs, lives, and responsibilities outside of their office. We're all working people. Taking a day off is a sacrifice, not a luxury. And to have that time thrown away twice, without care or accountability, is beyond disrespectful. Please save yourself the frustration. If you value your time, your health, and your dignity, go anywhere else. You deserve a clinic that sees you as a person, not an inconvenience.

After being placed in the exam room, I waited about 40 minutes before anyone came in. The nurse who finally saw me seemed very unsure of what she was doing. She asked me the same set of questions four different times. At the end, she quickly listed off about a dozen symptoms and asked if I had any of them. I asked if she meant in addition to the symptoms I had already said yes to earlier, and she responded with "Oh...so no." She also told me I was overdue for six different shots and procedures. When I declined them, her attitude noticeably changed and she seemed annoyed. I then waited even longer for the nurse practitioner. During the exam she repeatedly asked for permission to examine me -- which I understand is part of modern practice -- but after the fourth time it began to feel excessive and awkward considering that the entire reason for my appointment was to be examined. At the end of the visit, she said she was prescribing five medications. She named three of them, but only described the other two and mentioned that one would be a steroid. When I went to the pharmacy, they only had three prescriptions. The pharmacist told me they assumed I wouldn't want to pay $70 for Flonase and $40 for an allergy medication when both are available over the counter. Also, no steroid was ever prescribed. The whole experience felt disorganized and confusing, and honestly a bit misleading. Unfortunately, my visit confirmed that the issues I experienced here years ago still haven't improved
