The main issue with Eisenhower Imaging Center is to schedule appointment for Imaging. The staff is rude, hangs up on you ALL THE TIME. I spent more than one hour on the phone then before that 27 minutes. They keep you hanging then they hang up on you right after you say your DOB and name. WHY??? WHY IS THE STAFF SO F RUDE??? Very sad because one an appt has been made, the rest is easy. The staff at the Imaging Center is nice whether you go to Rancho Mirage or Palm Springs. Ease of appointments, walk ins available, and no waiting time. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Offices are very modern and well clean. It's one of the best imaging centers around. They have several locations to serve you. My only complaint is the make is very difficult to review your results. They say the results are on My Chart but make you have to set up an account on a separate web site, log on, and request them to sent the images to you. This delays viewing your images, and they are only available form short time. The process is not necessary. They should just post the images on my chart like it says they do. I gave them four Stars due to this extra step, which is the whole reason you go to them. read more

I had the pleasure of being one of the patients needing to have an MRI at this center. It didn't go well at the beginning when they told me I needed an IV to take the test. He could not find a good vein, he finally poked me and it really hurt. It continued to hurt until I was taken into the exam room and the woman in there saw my IV and immediately took it out and put one in my other arm. The second IV did not hurt at all, in fact I could not even feel anything was there. She put in ear plugs and then put headphones after that. I was very relaxed after that. I was almost in a dream state during the entire test. My headphones made the testing very quiet to me. I would not hesitate to go back. read more

I've had many MRIs unfortunately. I've had them in many different places. Most of them were pretty good. Here they are fantastic! The appointment was easy to schedule and I got there early. They were busy imaging someone else, but they came out before my appointment time and took me right in. Both of the girls who work there are amazing! So nice and professional. They get you in and out, but don't make you feel like you're rushed. I wish I could remember their names! The MRI was read in just a few days, which was great. Very nice staff during the imaging, however, if you need a CD of the image the records department has an outgoing message that you must complete the request online. The online request DOES NOT WORK. Two days and many attempts to reach anyone other than billing who did give me an extension to records. I finally talked to the records department who say they will have to email the form, I print it, scan it to my computer and then email it back. The administration at Eisenhower is a completely disorganized mess, as usual, and this is why I drive three hours to a doctor, I thought I could get an MRI locally. WRONG!! read more

Many people coming here are dealing with severe injuries. I went in for an MRI this morning and quidkly realized the recerptionist should be in a different job. She was not happy to be there and failed to acknowlege my presense until I said hi (I was the only one in line). In this environment it would sure be helpful if the receptionist was positive. Following my negative experience having a Cat Scan done at the Eisenhower Health facility in Palm Springs (as detailed in a previous review), I had written a letter regarding that experience to their Quality Department. The purpose of my letter was not so much a complaint as it was to express concern that if my experience were indicative of the way Cat Scan patients are treated at that facility, they had a major problem that needed to be recognized and addressed. I was impressed that Eisenhower took my concern seriously and promptly responded. First I received a letter acknowledging mine and assuring me the issues I raised would be looked into. I then received a personal call from Brad Johnstone, Eisenhower's Director of Imaging. He thanked me for taking the time to write, acknowledged the problem, and assured me it was going to be addressed. He could not have been more polite and professional in his response. Fast forward two months and I once again needed to have imaging done, this time an MRI. I am extremely claustrophobic and, from previous experience, knew I would not make it though an MRI without being completely knocked out (general anesthesia). As it turns out, very few facilities here in the Coachella Valley have the machine capable of doing the particular MRI I needed and fewer still perform general anesthesia for patients requiring it to get through their MRI. Because he had been so helpful in addressing my previous negative experience, I reached out to Brad Johnstone in hopes that he might be able to assist me in finding the appropriate facility to have my test done. Once again, Mr. Johnstone could not have been more helpful towards that end. The bottom line was that Eisenhower Rancho Mirage has a wider bore (opening) MRI (not the super narrow sort that I refer to as a "coffin"), open at both ends, and that I would be able to go into the machine feet first with my head towards the opening. Because their machine is not an "open" MRI (the ones that are open on all sides) and of the tube sort, I was still uncertain I would be able to tolerate it. To help reassure me, Mr. Johnstone then went way above and beyond anything I could have reasonably expected and had a tech of my height and weight lie down in the machine and take photos to send me showing me exactly how far into the machine I would be for my particular test, where my head would be in proximity to the opening, as well as the width of the tube itself. In addition, he said I would be given Valium to help relax me, I could have a family member in the room with me the whole time, and I would have a headset to listen to music during the test to drown out the pounding of the machine. Armed with all that info, I felt I could probably (maybe?) make it through the MRI without having to resort to general anesthesia. The day of the MRI I arrived at the Eisenhower Health facility in Rancho Mirage. Yessica - friendly and helpful- at reception checked me in, followed by nurse Jessica who, perhaps having been forewarned that I was a pain-in-the-neck patient, could not have been more friendly, polite and gentle from the moment she came out to insert the intravenous tube in my arm (for the contrast needed) to the end of the test. That nurse Jessica was so friendly, cheerful and positive went a long way towards putting my mind at ease and helping me relax.  She explained everything she was doing and all that was going to transpire during the actual MRI.  She joked with me and actually had me laughing. I could not have asked for a more empathetic nurse. The valium dose, coupled with the fact that I had very little sleep the night before, seemed to work miraculously towards knocking me out completely.  The last thing I remember was Jessica putting the headset on me and the next thing I knew she was tapping my shoulder to let me know the MRI was over.  Whatever it was, the effect was the same as had I been knocked out with general anesthesia, as I came out of the machine having absolutely no recollection of anything - absolutely the best (and perhaps only) way for me to survive an MRI.  While obviously I could not possibly guaranty that anyone else would have an identical experience, I can confidently (and happily) tell you that my own experience was extremely positive at this Eisenhower facility and everyone I dealt with could not have been friendlier or more professional in helping me get through a test I absolutely dreaded and didn't think I would be able to tolerate. The person who did my EKG and took samples were respectful and professional but that's where it stops. The rude, obnoxious people at the front desk give new meaning to the word unprofessional. They obviously love their jobs and are happy to be of service to the patients who arrive, often before serious surgeries. But their crappy attitude seems to permeate this location with the front desk patient input. Rude and disrespectful. Only reason for the 2 stars and not 1 was because of the two staff who did my tests. read more

I am Claustrophobic so the anesthesiologist has to put me under however the MRI didn't work very well because evidently I was moving a lot so maybe more sedation less ketamine? Went in with some trepidation for I had a neck double MRI. It was not only swift and easy, but from the girl that greets you to the staff that handles the MRI itself, there was a nice cheerful calm energy that I greatly appreciated! I have had other MRIs and imaging there and I have never had a bad experience. I recommend them highly! read more

After visiting the Eisenhower Imaging Center at Country Club and Monterey, Suite 200, (see review) we went to the Dolores Hope Building at the Eisenhower Imaging Center and what a difference it made. Do not go to the Monterey facility no matter how convenient it is. Instead, go a couple miles further to the imaging center at Eisenhower Hospital. I have written about the terrible service we received on that page. If you go to the hospital and this particular X-ray facility you will be fine. The difference is night and day. My mother who is 92 was well cared for when she was in pain with a possible fractured spine and the x-ray was able to be performed. At the other location on Monterey and Country Club, there is a completely different mindset, including a flyer in the lobby displaying the negativity bleeding out from the place and posted here. Go to the main hospital and you'll be well cared for. read more

My primary physician informed me that I needed to get an abdominal and vaginal ultrasound for the pain I was experiencing. I specifically requested Eisenhower Imaging Center as I've been here before for a MRI of the shoulder about 3 years ago and my experience was positive. It was super easy to schedule an appointment. On the day of the visit, the check in was a breeze and the front office staff was very friendly. I was brought into the exam room within 5 mins. The ultrasound technician was very professional and respectful. They also explain step by step of what to expect prior to the ultrasound such as gel feeling cold, pressure, and possible pain. When I noticed a lump on my leg, my doctor ordered an Ultra Sound. The next day I was called to further investigate the suspicious mass and I was sent for a MRI. I suppose if I have any complaint it is that it took 2 weeks to schedule this MRI. When I did get it and they confirmed it was cancer, I was immediately contacted and scheduled for a PET scan the next day and an appointment with an oncologist., who ordered a full body CT scan as well. Because the CT scanner at the Rancho Mirage facility was in repair, they scheduled me for a scan in Palm Springs within days. The scans were all done on time, with professional, caring techs and doctors performing the scans. Everything was explained to me and I was able to review written results/findings on My Chart within days. I would recommend Eisenhower Imaging to any patient requiring these services read more

This place was amazing. From the moment you walk in and see the nicely decorated waiting room to the interaction with the staff . Everyone was friendly and professional. They called me in at my appointment time. The doctors were also great and explained everything that was about to happen . I had a biopsy of my thyroid that went smoothly. Dr. Elly was the best. The nurse who was assisting in the procedure called me the next day to follow-up on how I was doing. This imaging center offers such a great service with personalization and class. I must agree with the other review and add my two cents. I also had a Needle Biospy done of a nodule on my thyroid. I was extremely anxious and cancelled my appointment and then called an hour later and went in to get it over with. That was the best decision. I was met with a handful of incredibly warm, caring and professional people, including Dr Chang who was very gentle and understanding. My ultrasound nurse held my hand and comforted me throughout the entire procedure. She was a real gem and deserves to be recognized. They all were superior individuals and it made an uncomfortable few minutes so much better. I must say, living here and having access to such fine Doctors and Nurses is a true blessing.
