Terrible Service at this Eisenhower Imaging location (Monterey & Country Club, Suite 200).
We met the x-ray technician from h#ll yesterday and I would not recommend this location for an x-ray, or any service for that matter, ever again. In fact, if you take a look at a posted flyer (see attached photo), you will immediately see the toxic culture that permeates the place as soon as you walk in the door! Nice way to be greeted, isn't it? Can you imagine seeing a flyer that starts out by saying "If you are unable to wait patiently..." This place is bleeding negativity. How rude.
More insulting behavior was on the way. Several other patients were being turned away with curt instructions and it really does highlight the rude and unfriendly nature of each of the employees there, from when you check in until you have the procedure done.
The female x-ray technician with blonde hair, assigned to us was unfriendly and firm from the get-go. Do they know how to smile? Do they understand what it means to be kind in a work setting, even humorous, perhaps? When my 92-year-old mother stands, she needs a moment to compose herself because of back spasms and possible spine fractures, the reason why we're there! Duh! Patience, mean-spirited x-ray tech grasshopper. Standing up, my Mom's legs began to buckle and crumple. This is common. She needed a moment to let the spasms pass. But, this woman couldn't and wouldn't wait. I explained it to her over and over again. She haughtily announced she wouldn't be doing the x-ray for my mom and then she began complaining that she had a bad shoulder. So she didn't want to pick my Mom up. Another woman came in. Why is this woman even working if her bad shoulder affects her work? She needs to take care of her own health, and get some training for a better attitude. She was harsh to mother. She rejected my mom saying that she would not give her an x-ray, and here we were having to start again. Both my mother and I pleaded with this insensitive woman who does not carry the empathy gene, loving kindness or compassion in her body and soul, and she would not give my mother her x-ray. I demanded the x-ray requisition, and even then she resisted by saying that it's "in the system." She finally relented and printed out a copy for us again very rudely. We called Eisenhower again and talked to a lovely lady who rescheduled us elsewhere. Again this place is awful. They were sending people away left and right. May this x-ray technician, if she is in similar straits as my mother, or her family member is, will not be subjected to the same unprofessional and discourteous behavior that she gave to my mother. Update: We are now at Eisenhower at the Dolores Hope building, and these kind people actually offered us water. The x-ray was accomplished. What a difference the people make in the world and in our experiences. Please rewrite that flyer in a positive tone or take it down. Also, please retrain everyone in that building on kind customer service. It truly is a toxic work culture that the general public sees. Bottom line: Doesn't it make sense to show patience to a patient who may have a fractured spine and is there for an x-ray? read more
