I have been a patient of Dr Malinow for a year now and I have been extremely impressed by both him…read moreand his entire staff. Every time I arrive at his practice they have been expecting me; I never wait. In fact, I'm usually running a little late and I get a friendly call inquiring if I hit traffic and what my ETA will be. Immediately I'm able to see my doctor. Lou is extremely thorough, thoughtful, and his follow up is unbelievable. Lou is just different than other doctors. I'll give you an example, my medical record shows that I started taking an antidepressant during my separation/divorce. Most doctors would see the obvious reason/cause for such a prescription. However, Lou knowing that I had just moved to Baltimore from San Francisco delved deeper and he wanted to know how I was coping with this transition and more importantly how I was getting along with creating new friends and socials groups. He precribed me rec league team sports to foster new friendships. That's a superhuman kind of listening that you don't acquire or get to use in a traditional rushed primary care setting. Lou being a participating doctor of MDVIP seems to empower a terrific physician to be superhero physician. Every visit I've had with Lou is similar as he goes deeper than I thought possible or have experienced in the pastx That one time he referred me to GI specialist just to be sure he didn't miss anything, well Lou's diagnosis was spot on whereas the GI doc was "unsure". When the CT scan was complete, it was Lou who called me personally within 30 minutes of it being read by the radiologist whereas the GI took the standard 24 hours to call me. In fact, it was actually his staff member that did the calling. I believe Lou cares about my health more than I do. I feel as if I am Lou's only patient to rationalize why he is so attentive with me. However, I understand his practice has nearly the max capacity of 600 patients that MDVIP allows to ensure personalized patient focus, which is way better than being just one of a few thousand like my previous doctor. And yes, I'm on a first name basis with my doctor because when someone knows you as well how can you not be? I cannot say enough great things about Lou. While he is my primary care doctor, in just a short year, he really feels like a friend who knows and cares more about my well being, than most of my actual friends.

His MDVIP-affiliated practice is open to new patients, including Medicare and commercially insured, in Baltimore. Dr. Malinow sees fewer patients, which means he has more time to offer. Similar to concierge medicine physicians, Dr. Malinow is available 24/7 by phone. His practice offers the MDVIP Wellness Program, which includes advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests that have been shown to help detect issues earlier.

I am…read moreblessed to have a knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding doctor that cares about each of her patients and is determined to address difficult health issues. I have been ill for almost five years and started seeing her just over a year ago. Prior to seeing her, I could feel my health steadily deteriorating and did not expect to see 2014 much less 2015. The best way that I can explain this feeling is that your spirit assesses your body and tells your mind that you won't be around much longer. Some may say that this is merely a depression but, I can assure you that it is not... Other doctors were not able to treat or diagnose my condition and brushed my feeling horrible off as being a symptom of depression. In actuality, I had become frustrated as a result of not feeling well for such a long period of time. Although my condition has not been pin pointed exactly and my body and spirit is exhausted , I do not feel my health declining at an alarming speed thanks to Dr. Asadi. My doctor cares enough to closely monitor my condition and I certainly believe that I have more time as a result. Had i remained under the care of a former " time clock watching doctor", I most likely would not be writing this review. I love my doctor and appreciate all that she has done to stabilize my health. I just wish that I had found her much sooner...

For starters, his office is run down and depressing looking. That should've been the first warning…read moresign. Then again, everything in Baltimore is run down and depressing...so how was I supposed to know that doctors offices here would be any different? His secretary was deaf and blasted rightwing talk radio throughout the waiting room. I don't know if that's better or worse than the usual John Tesh and Yanni's Greatest Hits that get played in most doctors office waiting rooms, but it was really annoying, nonetheless...especially since Dr. John was always running late. In all seriousness though, this guy should have his license taken away, and that I'm not even remotely joking about. He misdiagnosed and mistreated a staph infection I had, causing me to have to endure months upon months worth of pain and suffering unnecessarily. His advice for dealing with the staph infection? Put a bandaid with some Neosporin on it over the wound. That's like telling someone with pancreatic cancer to drink some orange juice and get some rest. After getting some legitimate treatment from a legitimate doctor (Dr. Jonathan Zenilman at Hopkins, who immediately diagnosed the problem for what it was, and immediately put me on a course of treatment which cleared up the infection within weeks, after months upon months worth of suffering the incompetency of Dr. John) I was able to finally get the issue resolved. I'm not a lawsuit trigger happy kind of guy, but I contemplated suing Dr. John for malpractice for the way he mistreated me, solely so that I could keep other people from suffering at his hands as well. Ultimately, a negative review on Yelp is probably cheaper and more efficient than trying to do anything through the broken US legal system. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS!!!
