He's insightful, thorough, and up-to-date with the latest wellness techniques and technology, has gained an incredible depth of experience and an understanding of the body's signs and signals during the span of his practice and it seems to help him put things in perspective as my own body's attempted to balance out through periods of disorder. In this way, he's been a big help and I trust him for all these reasons. In addition, his sense of humor, genuine concern and the belief he holds in personal responsibility that puts the healing process ultimately in the hands of the people who come to him create a refreshing take on the process of being in the role of a patient; he's made each visit an education, a joy and, unfailingly, helpful. For those looking for the right supplement or product to support their healthy lifestyle, Dr. Ari's got a strong selection and a good sense of what's most beneficial on the store shelves. I recommend him to everyone in the Bay Area, even those who are very far away (even though I usually get family and friends rolling their eyes about the distance from Sonoma County) and will continue to do so as long as his doors are open to the public. Wishing you all the best in your health and wellness!

A massage therapist I went to in San Diego recommended that I try neuromuscular therapy due to my needs and her noting that my body responded well to compression massage (thank goodness for her because she led me to search for NMT therapists specifically in the Bay Area). There are so many positives but the main ones for me are that I was having migraines once a month and after going to Alex regularly they were completely gone. He listens to your needs every session. There are multiple times when my upper back hurts more and he focuses on that area. I personally regard my sessions as treatment rather than a massage because of how they are tailored to my needs. No two massages have felt the same and that's a pro for me. I also really appreciate the knowledge he has about improving posture and tips for us remote desk workers. I've needed to take some of his urgent appointments due to hurting my back and foot and he was super responsive and both times I felt improvement. So amazing! Very grateful for those urgent appointments! Alex is extremely communicative with rate changes, when there is a COVID exposure if you have an upcoming appointment, updates on what he might be doing that impacts you as a client, if he's taking new clients or not, and for scheduling. I've been going for a while now and Alex has always kept his mask on (in case that's important to you!). He has also offered perks for free like essential oils and hot stone when other places charge you at least $5-10 extra for that. Parking is extremely easy, but you might have a hard time finding the spot initially. Instructions sent do explain how to get there. Highly recommend Alex. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

After my first session with Tim, I noticed that the mussles in my back were more relaxed. The second session addressed the pain in my hip. I was on pain medication and Lidocaine patches for the excruciating pain. I had lived with the pain for 2 years prior to finding Tim. After the third session, the pain was completely gone and has not reoccured (it has been 2+years). Tim worked on my neck and chest and I noticed that I was able to breathe more deeply and my vocal cords felt less constricted and my speech was clearer. As a quadriplegic suffering with chronic pain, Tim is a Godsend. I could go on with the accolades but suggest that you give Tim a try. I heard about Corey and Tact Massage from Lonna, who is a chiropractor in the same building…read more Booking a session was very easy and I really appreciated the fact that I didn't need to put down my credit card to guarantee the booking: it gave me a first clue of what kind of person Corey is. I didn't really have any health complaints, but I like getting massages: it is one hour where I can just let my thoughts drift and have someone else take care of me. Like many people, I associate massage with relaxation and spa-like surrounding. The stereo-typical massage therapist is dressed in some white clothes and oozes sensuality and well-being. Corey and his practice is different; different in good way though. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by a what I associated with a typical San Franciscan, dressed in a plaid shirt and a big commuter rucksack; he probably had just biked to his practice. He then told me a little bit about what I'd be expecting over the next hour, before I got ready for the actual massage. I then expected him to start "massaging" my body, but instead I witnessed how his hands applied light pressure on my back. While doing so, he commented on areas that he thought were a bit tight and/or needed some attention. After that, I pretty much let him do "his thing". I had complete trust in him...in fact, I apparently fell asleep at various times during the session. (Corey said something along the lines of: "I noticed that when I'd just relieved the tension on various sections of your body, I noticed you started to snore lightly...") After the session, Corey walked me through what he'd done and he pointed to various muscles on the anatomy chart on the wall next to the massage table. I can only agree with all the other Yelpers, especially Kevin N, who says: "Corey is an intellectual who combines his academic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with his natural gift of tactile memory." I also liked that Corey didn't do the guilt trip on me that I associate with some other massage therapists. Something like: "Oh, your body is really tense and I think we should see each other on a regular basis. In other words: your body is a total mess and I can help you fix it." Corey simply said that it would probably be good for me to come back for another session and work on some other areas, but that in general I'm in pretty good shape. I liked every bit of my visit: but mostly the fact that Corey is just a cool dude who knows his shit and makes me feel good!

Even when I expressed specific areas that needed attention, I'd always end up with the same full-body massage. It just wasn't helping with my sports issues. I've been so happy with Corey. He understands what my body needs as an athlete and really digs into the problem areas to release those parts. My experiences with him are always magic and I'm shocked at my increased flexibility in the days after a session with him. I'd definitely recommend him for site-specific issues you may have, or if you've just not been getting the kind of relief you'd like from other massage experiences. He listens to what you need and seeks out triggers that will help your whole body relax.

The 4+1 Thai Solution Massage (Nuad Benja Phakhi), which is definitely not your traditional "stretch and press" Thai massage. Let's start with Bill -- he has amazing energy--calm, compassionate, and completely devoted to healing. He listens, stays fully present, and with his methods, finds tension you didn't even know existed. This style of massage works on the root causes in the tendons, not just the surface symptoms in sore muscles. And you stay fully clothed the entire time -- no lotions or oils -- just pure, focused bodywork. At first, I wasn't sure about booking a full 2-hour session, but I trusted the other 5-star reviews here, and I'm so glad I did. It gave him time to address my entire body. Each touch felt customized and responsive -- nothing about it felt routine or transactional. I walked out feeling light, loose, and completely reset. In fact, I felt so good I bought a package and I booked my next two appointments before even leaving! Years of muscle and tendon overuse can't be fixed in one visit, but this made a huge dent. I'm excited to keep coming weekly and eventually move to a maintenance cadence -- whatever Bill recommends, I trust him completely. If you want a massage that's intuitive, detailed, and truly healing -- book Bill. You'll be so glad you did. Thank you N' Bill!!
