We'd first seen Makeb's on Dixie Highway in west palm. So when we were in Royal Palm Beach and saw…read morethey had a location here, we decided to try it. I'm always looking for a good bagel place. The restaurant is located nearer to the street in front of the Walmart super center. It's very casual inside. You order a x pay at the counter and then they call the number on your receipt for you to pick up your food. Everything is packed as if to go. I got a rye bagel with nova spread. I also added in a slice of tomato. They were generous with the cream cheese spread. And I liked it all. My husband got a salad platter with Tina. A bed of lettuce with tomatoes and cucumbers along with peppers and sliced red onions. The tuna was topped with a lot of shredded cheese -- almost too much. He chose balsamic dressing. The little cup of dressing was a bit sparse. He also got a bagel that came with his salad. We liked the bagels enough to get two more to take home. Not many places carry my favorite rye bagels anymore, so I'll be keeping an eye out for their other locations.

In a large plaza hosting a Walmart Super Center and a half dozen other eateries, with easy access at the Belvedere Rd traffic light. I ordered a Tuna Salad Platter with a toasted Rye Bagel. We waited a short time as our order was prepared and our receipt number called. My Tuna platter was a large scoop of Tuna on a bed of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted red peppers and cheese. It was very good and my Rye bagel was just as I ordered. Nice lunch!

Asked if they were making any more and they just said "no" followed by "it's not really that popular of a flavor". I find that very hard to believe. It just feels like the service, as well as the bagel selection has been lacking recently, and it's frustrating because the bagels are REALLY good, so regardless if it's a popular bagel flavor or not, how do you run out of anything on a Saturday?

Personally, I don't think you should have "Brooklyn" in your name unless you're referring to places…read morelike Brooklyn, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, or another town named Brooklyn--because this certainly isn't Brooklyn, New York quality. The bagel was hard as a rock. The whitefish salad was unrecognizable and definitely not what I'd expect from a proper whitefish salad. The tuna salad and what I believe was supposed to be egg salad were both extremely dry, bland, and among the most tasteless I've ever had. To make matters worse, there was no management on site, the customer service at the counter was unprofessional, and the place itself was dirty. I certainly wouldn't order anything coming off that grill. Do better. Either improve the quality and cleanliness or let someone take over who truly cares about making great bagels and quality food. I would rather drive to Starthmore, Brooklyn Water bagels or Makebs before coming back here.

My favorite thing here is actually the muffins, especially the blueberry. The bagels are good, but I have to admit I'm probably overly critical as I'm from Long Island, and have had the best. If you're looking for any traditional Jewish appetizing, this really isn't that type of bagel place. It's more of a chain-style spot where you can grab a bagel, a great muffin, or some breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches. The lox isn't what I'm used to, but this is a convenient place for me when I'm out running errands and just want to grab a bagel. And to be totally transparent, I've stopped in just for their excellent iced coffee. They have a nice variety of flavored coffees and creamers, and their coffee ice cubes are the best. I love that the ice cubes are made from coffee, so your drink doesn't get watered down and still tastes like coffee and not water. Four stars for the great variety, yummy muffins, and especially that iced coffee. They also have the ingredients to make your own egg cream!

So I've heard this has a new owner and I've been meeting to try it…read more I had veggie omelet with american cheese , grits and rye toast. My husband had sausage gravy and biscuits, over easy eggs and has browns. Let me start with the veggie omelet. It was either canned or cooked beyond recognition veggies. They forgot the cheese and took the omelet back to the kitchen, opened it, and threw in cold cheese and did not bother to heat it up. But since I had to scoop out the veggies to make it edible it was a good thing the cheese didn't melt. The grits were inferno hot. I burned the roof of my mouth. So I put a spoonful of the grits on top of the cheese to help melt it and wrapped it back up. So breakfast was a grits and cheese omelet. The rye toast was good. Typical rye nothing fancy or home made My husbands breakfast ; He loves hot sauce - so I steal a bite of his gravy before he slathers the hot sauce on. It had a bit of an odd flavor. I thought maybe smoke flavor , my husband says he did not think it was pork in the gravy. The biscuit was dense, hard and dry. The hashbrowns were plentiful, but lacks any flavor. They didn't use any onions or anything else and the potatoes when they cook some. Nothing a little salt and ketchup can't help. We got a side order of ham to split and that was delicious We did inquire about if they just did eggs as a side order. Three eggs would be $4.94 and the side of ham I think was $3.95 so if you didn't want the potatoes and toast and you just wanted to do some eggs and bacon or eggs and ham, it would be a very cost-effective option and probably the only option we would use if we went back.

The young man that works there knows exactly how my husband likes his food cooked. He brings it home steak is rare eggs were overcooked hard hash browns were raw toast not cooked. He immediately called no answer! Keeps calling no answer. He called yesterday no answer. This morning he went up there to tell them about how he couldn't eat his meal. The young girl looks to be Hispanic gets nasty with him and told him he should have brought it back that day. He would have however they wouldn't answer the phone they closed at 2pm he had to return to work. The young lady told him you think we owe you a steak and eggs. He showed her pictures of the entire me. Still she didn't care the cooks were speaking Spanish laughing at him. He we out side and brought in the steak to show them he didn't eat it and it as rare! She told him I'm not looking at that. She went to the back speaking Spanish they made him a new steak and hash browns crispy W toast asked if he wanted butter he said yes. I can't believe what they did he received a new steak over cooked it's so thin and dry it's gross , hash browns over cooked can't even eat the toast not cooked eggs were cooked right but they were so small it looks like they gave him half!!! He ordered me avocado toast it's absolutely disgusting ! It's not grilled toast it's soggy nasty wheat bread with brown avocado smashed on it with spinach and everything seasoning all over it to cover the brown avocado. It's so salty I can't eat it ! This is ridiculous almost $9.00 for something that's nothing like I've had from there before. It doesn't look anything like the picture not even close. The way they treated my husband is unacceptable. He spends alot of money there like I said he gets steak and eggs 3-4- time a wk. I feel like they treated my husband like he was trash because they are racist! He is a 58 yr old caucasian man they spoke Spanish in front of him, laughing at him while talking about him ! What they don't know is that he understands Spanish! They were being so disrespectful called him a stupid Gringo . This establishment needs to hire new people!!!!! I don't know who the manager is or the owner ! If it's that young lady who was so rude or one of the cooks that made his food , I wouldn't even give my dog! Ther need to be shut down. No one deserves to be treated like this, especially when they're spending good money. He wanted his food replacement. It was not eaten. He took it back. You will see in the pictures the difference in the steak that he got the day that it was rare and the steak that he received today along with my avocado toast and his hashbrowns and how raw everything was when someone comes into your establishment and asked for a meal a specific way they expect it cooked that way not any way you choose and then get an attitude and be nasty and rude and make his food that he can't even eat again because you're mad that you didn't do it right the first time that's childish and immature! just like today he called no answer because they don't turn on their phone. He goes in there. They said oh our phone is on my husband's turned. He dials the number calls it and the phone is turned off. They don't turn the ringer on again attitude. My parents have lived here for over 30 years. They've always gone to cup and saucer we've always gone there , we have friends and family members that they have treated poorly over complaining about how there's food was cooked. They lost very good business and I will see to it that I write a review on every platform to let everyone know exactly how they treat people and encourage them not to go there at all. Do not waste your time. Do not waste your money.

I had a 3 egg Florentine omelette that was very filled with ingredients.. almost too filled, the egg layer was very thin (honestly i don't understand how it can be 3 eggs). Next time I would not choose an omelette for that reason. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and everything was made as ordered.
