Bagels are meant to be chewy and Cat and the Fiddle describes their bagels as "unapologetically chewy" and we applaud their honoring that time worn texture! Last week we sliced the Brie stuffed challah, which is round, toasted it in the pan and served a poached farm fresh egg on top - magnificent taste and texture. Finally for dessert the chocolate rugelach is a rare find anywhere, because it is labor intensive and the goodness lies in the quality ingredients and the skill of the roller. The Cat and the Fiddle serve to elevate these Jewish baking traditions. A worthy Saturday taste adventure!
