Usually have an outstanding experience here-for some reason when we went last night for a table of 6 birthday celebration, and it was not crowded at all-none of our food was at all hot. One of us in the party sent it back to be warmed (still not as hot as it should have been) while the others just had it less than ideal. Must have been an off night I guess. Great experience! We got the Caesar salad as our appetizer and love that it came with sardines. My boyfriend got the steak which was excellent, and I had the pasta which was full of flavor. What really stood out was getting to talk with Chef Will. He was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this local spot! read more

"That was so fucking good!" - is what my wife proclaimed every 3 minutes on our ride back to our air b&b. We are from the Providence area in Rhode Island - known well for its superb food and drink. This is our first time in the Catskills, and we were concerned about the availability of high quality dining. We aren't too pretentious; we are a working class couple who enjoy high quality food. Eighty Main was recommended by a local vendor, and we gave it a shot. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We are here for our anniversary and we wanted something special. The staff at Eighty Main were inviting and accommodating. Chef Will welcomes everyone upon entry. His attention to his customers made us feel like we were the most important couple in the place. We both were overwhelmed with the menu, and Chef Will encouraged us to try the "I don't give a fuck" tasting - and so we did. The staff listened to what we wanted and included all the options which looked best to us. Chef Will paired the best drinks and Amaro with our meal. We felt like royalty. It is apparent that Chef Will and staff have put in a lot of effort and paid attention to detail by sourcing high quality local foods, alcohol, and vendors. We loved the vibe of this place when we walked in, and were excited by the menu. However, after waiting 15 minutes to order, we then waited 45 minutes for our appetizers (1/2 dozen oysters and a Caesar salad) and then another 35 minutes after that for our entrees (two pastas). The food was fine- one pasta was over salted and the other a little bland. The check was brought to us before we asked for it or had received our pastas. Our server was kind, but there was no acknowledgement from any of the several people we interacted with about the wait time, which truly would have improved the experience. read more

First I'd like to thank this place for being near my mom's house. Second I'd like to say how in shock I was, and still am over how good the food was. Anyway last summer I somehow missed this place when they first opened. This summer when I was back up there I was like we are going here! Out of all the traveling we did in August and places we ate, this was probably my favorite. My mom lives 10-15 mins away and this would be the restaurant I'd highly recommend anyone in the area to come to. Service was great, ambiance was great. Having been upstate for a week and had some great meals this by far was not only one of the best ones up here but one of the best ones I've had in quite some time anywhere. truly perfect seasonal asparagus app and exceptional pasta. my partner said that my pasta was in their top 5 pastas of all time (and look, we go to tuscany to visit family!) It has taken me too long to write this review. Likely this is because the greedy side of me wanted to keep this place to myself for fear of struggling to be able to find an available table. EIGHTYMain is the best thing to happen to food within an hour + drive of Delhi. This entire region of upstate NY is a food desert, and EIGHTYMain is the oasis. Will and his crew in the kitchen are spectacular. If you are on Yelp and looking for elevated fine dining, I urge you to come here and mark your first experience with them by doing their tasting menu, titled "I Don't Give a F---" (see pics). For those reading this review who have lived in the CA Bay Area or the Sacramento area, and who have been spoiled by the myriad of amazing choices of wonderful restaurants in those areas, EIGHTYMain is the place for you. The menu is elegant and thoughtful and gorgeously presented. The environment is not pretentious, the service is great, and the entire experience will leave you wanting to come back. EIGHTYMain is not a place I recommend because its the best thing available; it is a place I would recommend if I were back in an environment surrounded by wonderful restaurants. James, the bartender, has extensive knowledge of wine and alcohol and is delightful company. If you can only get seats at the bar, its worth it on a lot of levels. His drinks are incredibly balanced and stunning, his wine menu is eclectic and refined, and when you have no idea what to try to make a good pairing with your meal, I suggest just giving him the reigns. Also, let him take you on an Amaro journey. The newest addition is alluvial and herbaceous and despite not personally being a big fan of Amaro, I have quite enjoyed sampling his new acquisitions. read more

This is a surprisingly very good restaurant in the Northern NY Catskills. The place was suggested to us by a very odd ball person working at Birdsong Farms on route 10. So, we didn't really know what to expect. The food was excellent. The wine was excellent. The service was excellent. We left happy and wanting to return. The owner - I believe he is the owner - is from...Brooklyn. As are a great deal of the new Catskill folk. But the place doesn't reek of Brooklyn trendy chic anti chic. It is just a nice small cafe on a nice main street in a nice quiet college (SUNY) town. We will return. read more

Disappointed. We have been here before and the food and service were amazing. Unfortunately, we ordered the " I don't give a f#%k" which was a tasting from the menu. the server said you normally get six courses, so because the menu is broken down in to appetizers, pasta, entrees and desserts we thought it would be one or two from each category. How disappointed we were to get a sampling of three appetizers and three pasta dishes. We received nothing from the entree menu. I guess you're at the chef's mercy when you order this, but for $75 per person I think anyone would prefer to try a portion of each category that's on the menu. Some beef or chicken would have been great. Who pays $75 for pasta? Maybe two appetizers, one pasta, two entrees and a dessert? We did get a sampling of all the desserts at the end of the meal, which were not to our liking, but I'm sure others would enjoy. There were three of us so we could have ordered three different appetizers and three different entrees and shared them. At the high end it may have cost us $50 each as opposed to $75 each, would have had more food and a less expensive bill and saved $75! What really bothered me was when we tried to ask why we got three pasta dishes and nothing from the entree menu, the server said she wasn't sure and could send the chef (who is the owner) over and he chose not to come over to speak to us. This all being said, the server was wonderful and apologized, the food is good, but my review and suggestion is to NOT order the tasting as you can get way more food and a much smaller bill if you just order a few things off the menu. Such great food! Ordered takeout and everything was delicious. The chicken with polenta was very flavorful and the gnocchi and steak were cooked perfectly. Of course bone marrow is it's own type of fantastic and is so hard to find anymore! Next time I'm definitely going to opt for dining in (it was the plan, but sprained my ankle right before!! ). Looks like they have great drinks too so hopefully I get to come back soon! read more

Been here about 10x and honestly the food, drinks and service is amazing. My kids love to pick their own pasta at the counter. You can't go wrong with anything you order but our faves are the Cesar salad, octopus, quail and can't go wrong with any of their pasta dishes. The churro donuts are amazing but chocolate mousse and gelato are also delicious. One of our favorite places to come when we're upstate. read more

Delicious! What a find in Delhi. Felt like we were at a bistro in Brooklyn or NYC. The bar was busy on a Sat night, great vibe. Fresh house made pasta, top notch menu in a casual ambience. The sea bass was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. The octopus appetizer was everything you want, a little char, a smooth puree accompaniment. I was excited to see this addition to Delhi's Main Street, and I appreciate the fact that there are some vegetarian options on the menu. Unfortunately the spaghetti Norma I had for dinner was extremely bland. Drinks were good, but on the small side and seemed overpriced. The restaurant also had a strange chemical smell, almost like paint, which made for a rather unpleasant experience. Wow. My husband and I tend to eat out a lot and have just spent a few weekends out of town for weddings, exploring even more restaurants. We were excited to have a quiet Sunday evening meal out and were excited to try EightyMain. It did not disappoint. First of all, the cocktails were inventive and incredible. My husband rarely likes the cocktail he orders--too sweet, too sour, too strong, you name it but one sip into the bees knees cocktail and he was thrilled. I had the stumbling aristocrat which was also excellent. For appetizers we had the eggplant and the white bean purée, also excellent. For main courses we had the bolognese and the pasta al La Norma. Excellent yet again. This place is sleek and cozy inside, service is great even though they only had a bartender and one waitress and the place was busy (seriously they made it look super easy) and the food is too notch. This place is a new gem in Delhi! A unique Italian inspired menu with creative cocktails and fresh pasta. The owner/ chef is out front cooking and has created a warm, inviting atmosphere. We ordered multiple things to share so we could taste everything. For starters, the octopus was amazing and cooked to perfection and the best of the starters we had. The burrata had a nice sauce but didn't come with any bread and was a little small to share. For entrees, we shared 2 pastas and 2 risottos. The risotto with sausage was the better of the 2. Both the spaghetti ala Norma and the pasta with mushrooms and cream sage sauce were both outstanding and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Ordered all 3 desserts- the panne cotta was the best and churros a close second. Didn't love the rice pudding as much. If you are looking for a higher end experience compared to that you would find closer to the city, you will not be disappointed! read more
