Stumbled on their website by accident and was hooked by their special 1st anniversary degustation…read morenight of their six best selling dishes. Menu looked fantastic and I can't stop thinking about it, so I made a reservation. Since my favourite French restaurant closed last year, I've been on the lookout for a new favourite, this could be it. A glass of sparkling on arrival and a friendly smile, enough to make a great first impression before our amuse bouche arrived, Escargot with Garlic & Parsley Butter. Definitely a great start! We didn't have to wait long before the first course arrived, Sydney Rock Oysters with Sauce Mignonette. Vinegar with mince eschallots made great accompaniment to the freshly shucked oysters. Black Truffle & Mushroom Veloute with Crumbed Quail Egg is creamy and earthy with perfectly cooked crumbed quail egg added necessary texture to the dish. Pan Fried Pancetta Rolled Scallop with Foie Gras, Fennel Remoulade, Lemon & Lime Vinaigrette was excellent. This was my favourite dish of the night. It was sublime. Everything on the plate complemented each other and the foie gras added complexity to the dish. Kimchi, Tofu, Ham Hock Terrine with Apple, Ssamjang Chutney, Sesame Leaf & Nashi Pear Walnut Salad was fresh and a great follow up after a heavy meal, a palate cleanser before our next heavy meal. But the highlight and my husband's favourite dish of the night was Grilled Eye Fillet of Beef with Basil Pistou & Jus. Perfectly seared sous vide beef so tender it felt like butter when you cut through it. It left an impression on my husband so big he seriously contemplating on buying a sous vide machine to try and recreate it. Just when we thought they can't go any better than this, desserts came. I had the Passionfruit and Plum Creme Brulée with its perfectly cracked caramelised sugar topping added extra crunch. I can't really taste the plum though, but found generous amount of Passionfruit inside the Brulée. My husband chose the Apple Tarte Tatin, Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream & Salted Crumbed and I can tell you he kept telling how happy he was that he chose it for his dessert. The proof is in the pudding, or in this case the Tarte Tatin as he scraped clean his plate within minutes of consuming it. Great timing on the delivery for each course. The matching wines I had with my meals were greatly matched. All that combined with intimate ambience and friendly staff definitely completed a pleasant dining experience.

The pumpkin puree and pomegranate are a excellent compliment to the Barramundi, im really impressed   My fiancé loved her duck dish also. Everyone else had no complaints with there dishes WE didn't try any desserts The Set menu is $60 for 3 courses, the zomato menu is outdated. But from this you will only save $4 or $5, In general I found the prices a little expensive Service was attentive and friendly though food took a little longer to come out than expected Despite the price it's a place I would come back to try something else. Worth trying!

We rolled in here on a voucher but were prepared to pay extra on pre dinner drinks and coffee as our three course meal was discounted. We were able choose off the menu and the specials without any limit too. There was a feeling that this voucher was an advertisement for what they could offer rather than half serves. However, that being said, the portions are the usual French serves but you still don't go home hungry. The service was excellent from the bar to the table. There is a bar for pre dinner drinks and cocktails. I liked "The Last Word" cocktail. Complimentary bread and butter to start after we chose our entree and main. Snails did not come in the shell so there was no extra implements needed, and they were very nice. The French onion soup suited my dining buddy too. Our mains of Duck a l'orange and steak were excellent. The ratatouille was oddly salty and we probably shouldn't have ordered it anyway. Dessert was off the menu and on a trolly so we were spoilt for choice there too. Not a fan of the coffee but I did order a macchiato and that brings out a multitude of sins that cappuccinos hide. The little chocolates that came with the coffee were very nice. There were a few people eating there and it seemed that some are regular customers. The loos were in keeping with the decor too but are hidden behind mirrors so you might need guidance when you want to wash your hands. You are in a club so you will need to produce some identification (driver's licence) before you can go through to the restaurant. There is plenty of off street parking. It is recommended to use the multi storey cark park but we used the ground level parking as it was very well lit.

Absolutely blocked out the deliciousness of the steak itself. Service was impeccable. the waiters had these french accents that were fake when one of my noble aristocrats said 'merci' when the food came but he said you're welcome in an australian accent. I ordered the lobster crab bisque and again, it had no meat substance at all, I was expecting at least a mouthful of lobster or crab but no, Just a fishy soup with a herb base. For the price it was not a good start. The staff were very inattentive at first, but then the wait staff switched and were more pleasant which made us all more pleasant. The food was very average. The wine bottle was triple the price of your local export. My steak was laid on a salsa verde purée which tasted aweful, so I spent the whole meal trying to remove that special sauce from my steak. I'm not sure why it was not put as a side in case you didn't like it, which I did not. Ruined the whole experience especially when paying $54 plus for the steak I left feeling underwhelmed and hungry, and wished I had gone somewhere else.

It's your Humble Italian restaurant…read morewhere you won't find your traditional spaghetti bolognaise, or the fine dining dish where you feel like you need a few more pasta spoonfuls. However, it is fine dining food in a casual atmosphere with quality unique food at reasonable prices. Owner, Michele Rispoli, hailing from Positano on the Amalfi coast wanted to open a restaurant to showcase great Italian food. Drawing from generations of food and hospitality, as well as a breadth of experience in numerous Italian restaurants across Sydney and abroad, he has certainly made his mark with this great establishment. Head Chef, Nicole Bampton is ex-Tetsuya's and Lucio's chef and is the mastermind behind the incredible food and ever changing menu to keep customers happy and inspired. All the pasta is handmade on the premises daily and the focaccia baked on the spot in the woodfire oven. We are fans of the focaccia, soft and flavourful bread with a nice exterior crunch and dipped in the olive oil is perfection. The menu is changed seasonally to reflect the freshest, locally sourced meat and veggies. For example, we had the beetroot and ricotta ravioli with burnt butter sauce, they sometimes mix it up and do a pumpkin ravioli or whatever is fresh and seasonal. We began with a few drinks; an excellent Negroni and a mocktail; so good that we felt it was almost like the real thing. They've good a good variety of cocktails, spritzers and wine and the staff can suggest a pairing. Our Pinot Grigio worked well with our fish main. We tried a good variety of dishes including the Pambula Merimbula oysters with a vodka, limoncello and lemon granita. Nice and plump oysters and the granita accomodating and highlighting the beautiful natural flavours of the oysters. Second was the N'duja roasted octopus with Cannelloni, celery and green beans with a smoky flavour, extremely tender, a great rustic dish. From the pasta options, we selected beetroot and ricotta ravioli with burnt butter sauce, and poppy seeds. Flavoursome pasta parcels were filled with a smooth beetroot ricotta purée and doused with the delicious butter sauce that made our tummies delight with happiness. A new addition to the menu, baby snapper roasted on the bone was cooked perfectly and fell off the bone, served with almond romesco and braised leek. This was another great dish, simple with quality ingredients and perfect for summer. It paired well with a salad, their nicely ripened tomato salad made of Ox heart tomato, heirloom cherry tomato, buffalo mozarella and basil. We loved everything we ordered but also hear that crowd favourites are the arancini and squid ink linguine with mussels, so we'll have to return. We were sure though this time to leave room for the much talked about and anticipated baked ricotta cheesecake, which certainly holds up to the hype. Hands down the best ricotta cheesecake we've had in Sydney. If you're looking to have the choice made easy for you, you could also try their signature tasting menu for $69 which looked extremely generous. They also do house-made pastas & sauces for purchase of your selection to cook & enjoy at home. Pick up is available at the restaurant after 4.30pm the following day. The restaurant hosts quarterly gourmet events including black truffles, Italian wine tasting, and even Italian cheese making. Coming soon is their Wine Tasting in February and their Valentine's Day menu to share with that special someone.

It is better to get a two hour park near Pioneer Park without a meter. I judge an Italian restaurant by its vongole and it passed the test. The Bolognese was a bit small but it was lunch.
