I personally am not a fan of buffets but my husband is Lebanese-Armenian & doesn't mind buffets & always wants Lebanese food when it's an option. I was a little apprehensive when we walked in because the hostess & waitresses were Swedish, but then I heard Arabic music & noticed the staff coming in/out of the kitchen to stock the food was speaking Arabic so I knew the food would be ok. My favorite items were the wrapped grape leaves & mini desserts. My grandmother & aunts used to make a lot of the same desserts so the flavors were very nostalgic & comforting. I can also appreciate how they had managed to make tiny delicate bite sized portions of each. I was impressed by that because these desserts are so intricate & difficult to make so making them into tinier pieces can't be easy. We had a lovely meal at Laziza and enjoyed our visit.

One of the guests was finishing food at 12:10 when we were approached by the waitress telling that the restaurant has 1 hr dine-in policy. Then the same waitress came back after 2 minutes telling me that "I have guests waiting outside." I was never aware of this policy and if this is a new one, no one told us at the cashier (By the way, the lady at the cashier was more accommodating). I was embarrassed that we were the only table and customers treated that way. This is frustrating that the waitress at Dockan branch was mainly targetting us and I was embarassed by this attitude with other customers looking at us. Also, we found that seats outside were available. I hope that the restaurant can look into this and train the staff to communicate properly with guests. Your food is no doubt highly recommended and other staff were warm and polite. However, this waitress telling us customers (who were obviously chewing last spoonful of food and the other having coffee) to leave the place twice in a span of 2 minutes was very rude. It is sandwiched between shopping stores so you can take a nice stroll before dinner to build an appetite or take a walk after dinner. Seating There is outside and indoor seating. Someone will greet you at the door and seat you. I have not been to Greece, I am not Geek, or not sure if I know what authentic Greek food is. But I am American from California, so I've had a diverse palate of foodiversity and this place satisfied my hunger. Food I ordered the traditional Greek food Moussaka, my friend ordered stuffed bell pepper (vegetarian). We started dinner with the Tzatziki Yogurt, which comes with a basket of bread. I don't know if they have a Vegan option, but the vegetarian dishes looked great! I like my food juicy and rich. Both the Moussaka and stuff bell pepper (stuffed with dill and rice) were worth the money! we can eat a lot, and the servings were big! We capped dinner with an order of desert Baklava with a scoop of ice cream. I had to loosen my belt... This place is not a fancy restaurant but the waiters dress in nice white shirts they are knowledgeable about their food, somewhat quick to attend to your needs, but they light a candle when it gets dark. It's grime-y in a charming way but stay away if any grime bothers you. It's dingy on the inside with some nice sidewalk seats, but reeks of old cigarettes either way. They give of the air of not GAF but are actually attentive and charming. Food came or relatively quickly on a Friday night which was good with a hungry child. They were happy to explain things on the menu and even suggested a few things for substitution. Funnily everyone comes into the restaurant, loclas and tourirsts alike, acting confused where to sit or if there's a queue and after a dramatic pause the barkeep tells them to sit wherever and right on. The food was good. The menu looks very basic and doesn't do the food justice. The 3 salads accompanying each meal are listed without description or fanfare. You don't know which ones you'll get. We got four different ones in combination for two entrees. Even the chicken satay we ordered for our little one came with two salad sides. Two out of four were great, the others bland. Each salad is about 1/4 of a cup, fairly small. The sesame seaweed with ginger and heirloom tomato salads rocked. The guacamole (really just smash avocados without seasoning) and cabbage salad (no dressing, plain with two honeyed almonds on top) were uninspiring. We got the Manilla tofu and beef lasagna as the main dishes. The Manilla tofu was cooked just right with great sauce and an ample portion of protein compared to your average Nordic experience. The beef lasagna was decadent. It was more reminiscent of mousaka than lasagna, cheesy, pillowy, creamy, and very thin Al dented pasta. Not a whole lot of meat but very flavorful and filling. The drink list was pretty good. I had a nice primotivo for only 55 Kr. Whole bottles are reasonable finds at good prices. They also serve half bottles I'm carafes. Good brew selection too. Prices were fair for the fare. Much less expensive than many surrounding restaurants. Overall, great spot. Good to hang or eat. Not pretentious but just good enoufh food.

Schawarma King food stand in the middle of Malmö's Stortorget (main square) caught my eye because…read moreit served falafel and shawarma...and pizza and ice cream. The 50 SEL (about $5) price also pulled me there. I had no idea that Lebanese immigrants brought falafel to Malmö in the 1980s and it has since become a favorite food all over the city. The woman cashier couldn't speak much English and I speak zero Swedish. So after I paid for everything I figured I bought double what I ordered. Luckily the guy there was able to re-ring my order. My lamb schawarma sandwich was good! Lots of meat, well spiced. Their delicious secret sauce oozed out of my "cone." I washed everything down with Coke Light. There are a few outdoor tables to sit and eat if you can find an empty one. I noticed people that didn't order at Schawarma King were hogging tables eating their own food.
