This was extremely helpful for me as I live out of state and was trying to monitor and manage the work from afar. Jose explained all the work to us in advance and went over all options with us before we started. They provided a detailed estimated that went over all the work that was found after the roof was inspected. After the project was completed they have been very helpful on follow up items and provided me all the paperwork for my warranty as well as managing the permit with the city that was opened. Low and behold the wood edging behind my old gutters was all rotted. They removed the rotted wood and installed the flashing and gutters directly on the plywood of the house, which they assured me was actually better than replacing the wood edging. There wasn't a downpour yesterday but everything worked as it should and I no longer had the three spots where I was getting overflow onto my patio and garden beds. It is also our belief that Skyline used our deposit to pay supplier bills that were unrelated to our roof and contract. We terminated the contract after the demand for more money and hired another roofing company because we had a deadline by which if the roof was not done or homeowners insurance company would cancel our policy. Skyline was unable to meet the deadline without more money from us because, we believe, they spent our deposit money on Other, unrelated expenses. In a written and signed settlement contract, Skyline agreed to refund our deposit in four payments. Skyline made one payment and miss the next one that was due, thereby notifying the agreement. We are planning to file suit this week.

After the contract was signed, the necessary tasks conveniently increased in price with the salesman saying he forgot to add certain parts of the project and more materials were needed than he anticipated. Just a bunch of lies, excuses and overselling. The company actually subcontracts to other contractors, which I did not like. I thought all the workers would be working for Allied, so the work and communication could be seamless. Instead, it was chaotic and unorganized at times. The promised date the project would be fully completed by kept getting delayed and pushed back. The crews did clean up afterwards but not well. There were a lot of nails found all over my property. It was very stressful because I had to take off work an additional several weeks beyond the mutually determined project completion date. I also had to closely monitor to make sure the work was done well, which I had to point out many mistakes along the way. The company did not take any responsibility for increasing the prices along the way or for the big time delay in completing our home project. Their indifference shows that they only care about money and not about customer service and satisfaction.

I had to get a supervisor, who fortunately showed up about 30 minutes before they tried to leave, have them correct the issues-all except paint on brick which I CANNOT GET OFF. They also handed me a sheet to complete about the job as they were leaving and said I had to fill out and give back to them before they left. The sheet stated that they were to give me this sheet on day one, not on day seven. Allied Siding sign was not put in my yard till day six and they should have put out in day one. I called the office in Tomball to report all issues. Melissa listened and was glad I called. She felt the manager should also speak to me-he called and did not seem interested at all as to what I had to say.

We called Jay and he was at our house a day later with all the information we needed. Within a week they were at our house taking off the old roof and installing a new roof. His crew was great! They arrived on time and worked all day until the sun went down. They had a little more to do so they came back the next morning, finished up, and cleaned up our yard, and our neighbors on both sides where some debris went. They used that big magnet to get any nails that had fallen. Jay came by in the morning when they started, came back during the day, sent us photos, from the crew, of the progress they were making on the roof. Called us to tell us there were no issues on the old roof, took photos when they were done. All-in-all a great job and we would recommend Jay and company to anyone looking for a great roofing company. On a side note, Texas Roofing & Siding is a turnkey company. We also needed a couple of trees removed. He has another crew that does that. They came out a few days later, cut down 2 trees, ground the stumps, trimmed a couple of other trees, and cleaned up the yard when they were done. They've replaced all the less than optimal bits behind the old siding, at no extra charge to us. We're just over a week into our project and our electricity usage has gone down. That surprised me because they've been using power tools every day. We went from single pane windows and crappy old siding to double-pane and low-e wrap under the siding.
