Since switching over to a "call center", Ehrilch customer service has gone severely downhill. It seems as though the call takers have no real idea of what pest control services are offered, or don't know the difference between a wasp, hornet, or honeybee, although I thoroughly researched before I called. The set up an appointment for Monday 9/22 between 9-10am. No one had arrived at that time, I received no phone call informing me of the technician being late. It wasn't until I called at 11am, that I found out he was held up by another customer (understandable), but the called taker, had to call the technician to find that out, and then proceeded to have the technician call me. If I could give just the technician 5 stars, I would. He called me promptly, explained the situation, asked me to send pictures of what I had, and explained to me that Ehrilch doesn't service honeybees (pollinators). He then gave me GREAT advice; I thanked him and hung up. Moral of the story - We call could have saved each other a lot of time if the call representatives were knowledgeable of the company's policies and coverage beforehand.! read more

I got an offer from Ehrlich--my long-standing exterminators of 30 yrs-- to get a 'free inspection' to assess possible pest problems. I accepted, took a half-day off for the promised '2:30-3" window. Someone called and confirmed in the AM, then...when it was 4:45, I called the office to see if they were coming. the 'inspector' at 443-608-1668 called, to say 'yeah, I guess I shoulda called... maybe today isn't a good day..." then said he could come between 5 and 6. He said, 'Do you have termites? I'm supposed to sell you something". (Mice have been my concern). I asked if that was the whole purpose for the 'free offer'-- as opposed to the way it was positioned, as a free inspection for 'possible pest points of entrance'. I asked if there was any other purpose to the inspection besides an sales opening for him and he laughed and said 'Nope, that's really it. Funny, huh?" Requested service for a yellowjacket invasion. Gave them a credit card on the phone and was promised a quick appointment. Which when I got the email scheduling it, was an entire week away! Not wanting to get stung, I called in an independent operator who handled the problem immediately, and for about the same price. In the process, I learned that Ehrlich is now owned by Rentokill, the same conglomerate that owns Terminix and a bunch of other companies that were formerly local and independent. read more

Called on a Tuesday and paid for service and told they would be here by the end of the week if not the weekend at the latest. Here I am 11 days later still no call, no service, no appointment time. Had to call and they scrambled and said someone would come tomorrow on Saturday. Piss poor customer service from top to bottom. Can't wait to get this done so I cancel services read more

Extremely poor customer service. Employees untrained to respond to customer questions by phone. Aaron who can't look up a reference to Lilly who can't find tickets or wants to discuss past accounts. Aaron transferred call to Lilly without providing her the purpose of my call. Every time you call the same information provided to multiple people. A manager named Richard only has one tech assigned to his district that can perform wood destroying insect termite inspection and cannot or flat out refused to find another tech within an adjoining County or city. So unprofessional and unorganized. Requested service 4th of August technician, Etienne finally called two weeks later to schedule an appointment for over three weeks after Aug 4th. Maybe they all are drinking the pest control chemicals because I did not speak with one person with: common sense, professional knowledge, or the ability to assist me as a customer. I had a bees issue on my house so called them and explained the problem, talked to the lady first then transfered to the experts, the spot was too high to have a regular service. I explained about 10min for all details and they said no problem, one of their inspector will meet me 1-5pm( a bit disappointed for the wider time frame, but i had no choice...) today then waited 4 hours at home. finally, the inspector called me at 4pm and telling me he can't come and it will be tomorrow morning. I was disappointing and also he asked all details in my situation again, then he said he can't do more then 25ft, more than 25ft anyway, he got to use the lift, which will cost more... I said I don't mind more cost(actually i was prepared to listen this according to the spot) but i am disappointing wasting my time because the first appointment already broken and if they listened what i said when i made the appointment, they would bring up the lift so didn't need to waste another time for me... he said he has no idea why the office didn't tell him... so, simply, i did talked to two people with details, how high it is... the inspector didn't come at the appointment time, told me a different story with their office. don't use this company. you will waste your time. typical type of big company's...... read more

We have used this company this past school year for our pest control needs, and have been provided with superior service. We had a recurring ant problem and our technician continued to come out until the problem was resolved! We have had nothing but a positive experience! Our technician is thorough and very knowledgeable, and we he could not figure out exactly what the problem was he brought in his manager for a second opinion as well as another treatment option without me having to ask! Ehrlich is the pest control provider for the rental community where I am employed. We have over 750 units that receive services by them. Through first hand experience, I can say that every employee with Ehrlich (Millersville) that I have communicated with has been really nice and informative. They really take pride in their positions and are very friendly. I would like to recognize a couple of them by name: 1) Tommy McHan (Our weekly Technician): He is really nice. We see him every week, so of course, we treat him like family. He go above and beyond to make sure our units are serviced thoroughly, and if the residents are home he give them informative information on housekeeping and preventative maintenance also. If I have to call him for any reason, whether it's to answer a question for me, or add a treatment to the weekly list at short notice, he gladly respond with NO problem. 2) Tom Tracey (Our Representative): He comes to our community to do our inspections. He is really nice also. Whenever he come to the community, he stop by the office to make sure we know he is headed to his appointment. When he finish the inspection, he return to the office to give us his report on the findings. He is very informative to our staff and to the residents. He has come to our office to have a pest control class (seminar), to inform our staff of valuable information needed to maintain a community of this size. He is a familiar face to us also, so we are always glad to him, considering the circumstances. 3) Maureen Webster (Scheduling): She is soooooo nice!! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her, but whenever I communicate via email with her to schedule an appointment for a resident we talk just like we've been knowing each other forever. Even though it's via email, I feel the smiles and laughter through the both of us, and it actually makes my day. She makes sure she gets the unit/units scheduled ASAP, with NO long delays. I really appreciate her a lot, because she makes my job a little easier. 4) I have other Ehrlich employees that I may not see on a regular basis, but I do know them by name and want to recognize them as well: Chris (Bed Bug Technician), Laura Sparks (Scheduler), James Kane (Representative), and Archie (Technician).
