Considering how grateful I am to be able to work out with Eddie, this review is long overdue. I am grateful for his training style, which has encouraged me stay consistent and become stronger and healthier. When I started working out with Eddie I was not a couch potato, but neither did I have adequate muscle mass. I had been struggling with injuries that held me back from my favorite activities (yoga and rock climbing) and also not looking forward to losing yet more muscle to age. I was also not exactly looking forward to strength training, as my previous experience had not been great. Eddie has helped me achieve my goals of getting stronger and improving my yoga practice and rock climbing. My balance and flexibility have improved tremendously. Push ups and holding poses in yoga seems effortless now; I've gone up several grades in climbing and impossible climbs have become projects. To my surprise, I enjoy the workouts and look forward to them. And, an added bonus, the workouts have helped me recover from injuries more than physical therapy ever has. I started out with twice weekly workouts and have worked up to three. I have more energy and feel better than I have in years; I'm in my late 50's, but I feel like I'm in my 30's. I guess it's time I reveal my best kept secret... If you're trying to meet your fitness goals, Eddie is IT. I found EG's Training through a Groupon deal back in 2020. Prior to joining, I had been pretty active with HIIT/spin classes (mostly cardio stuff) so I never saw myself as someone who could lift heavy. I did mostly body weights and cardio stuff my first few sessions with Eddie but slowly progressed into weights. ...And let me tell you...it freaking changed my life!!! I went from someone who used to freak out over lifting heavy/gaining muscle to someone who now enjoys making PRs on leg days. I attribute this newfound confidence to none other than the gym boss himself: EDDIE. You can't find another gym with such incredible rates. You can select 30 or 60 min sessions anywhere from 1-5 sessions a week. It's a small gym but it has everything you need to be in shape. There are cardio machines, cable equipment, squat racks, free weights, leg press machine, etc. He also offers "bootcamp" on select Saturdays, which is essentially a group HIIT class outdoors. Eddie is super chill and flexible - as long as you put in the hard work, he'll meet you halfway and keep you accountable towards your goals. I know I pissed him off a lot because I'm whiny AF. And I was always late. Not sure how he put up with me all these years. I guess this is what I mean when I say he is the BEST in town. I grew quite attached to the community that Eddie built here in this gym. I joke that this place was my second home...and it really was. I'm very sad to be leaving this gym because I'm relocating, but I'll definitely be back from time to time especially for bootcamp days on Saturdays. Don't take my word for it. I retired at 62 and knew that I wanted to get back into serious shape after a behind the desk job for over 35 years.... We both agreed on realistic goals and was quickly optimistic and motivated after my first meeting and workout with Eddie....I did not feel intimidated in the gym surroundings or equipment and was very comfortable with Eddie's program that he created specifically for me I initially wanted to concentrate on form, endurance, strength, balance , some cardio and weight loss. I especially set a goal to do paddle boarding and happy to say that was able to achieve my goals including paddle boarding at the age of 64! Eddie has also implemented and guided me nutritionally and with mindfulness towards a healthy long term dietary lifestyle I am coming up on my 69th birthday and still consistently working out at the gym with Eddie, .....over the years I have continued to train 3 times a week, occasional Saturday boot camp sessions and now inclusive of swimming and a walking regimen outside the gym environment because I am more energetic, flexible, have balance and no longer need those mid day naps!!! I have been overweight almost all my life and after Covid hit, I realized my weight was at an all-time high. Sick and tired of feeling tired and unhappy with myself, I decided to search around my area for a suitable gym. I tried going to a commercial gym, but found myself intimidated by all the people there or lacking motivation to actually go which caused me to lose money every month. I needed someone to hold me accountable and force me to come to the gym, so I decided to try EG's Training. EG's Training is a small gym located in a plaza with lots of parking. Eddie offers 30 min to 60 min sessions at a great price, and most training always goes beyond the time frame unless you specify that you have to leave exactly at a certain time (a real bang for your buck!). He also has boot camp classes on Saturday mornings for you to attend. Eddie is very down to earth, easy to talk to, and encouraging! He pushes you on every workout and makes sure you don't feel any pain/discomfort. If you let him know that a certain workout seems to cause you pain, he'll immediately switch it up to something else for you to do. A lot of his clients followed him from his old work place and have been with him for years, which shows how great of a trainer he is. It's a small gym, but don't be fooled by the size as Eddie has helped me lose over 30 lbs and keep it off for almost an year now without severely restricting my diet. I probably could've lost more weight if I didn't give myself so many cheat days (oops), but for right now I'm very content with my accomplishment. Eddie is an amazing trainer. He motivates and guides his clients, always challenging them in a positive way, to become the best they can possibly be. When I started I was 64 and my main focus was to strengthen my back. Two and a half years later, my back is the strongest it has ever been. My wife and I were looking for a boot camp or gym since moving to the area. My wife was especially looking for personal attention since she was pregnant at the time. After seeing all the options available, we decided to try Eddie out. Within an hour of contacting him, we set up a trial workout the next day explaining our situation. Eddie tailored the workout to our preferences and we enjoyed it. He ended up altering the workouts for my wife as her pregnancy moved along. For me, he saw that more weightlifting was suited better. We had been going to boot camps and various gyms for years but none compared to the workouts that Eddie provided us. The best part was the one-on-one attention he provides even with other people in the gym. The gym has every machine you could possibly need to get and stay in shape. Also, the best part about working out with Eddie was he was always making you push just a little further along in your workouts. At the same time, you get what you put in. The prices at the gym are more than your standard boot camp but much less than your big gym personal training. I find a lot of the personal training at those gyms the trainers just go through the motions to get your through the session. If we didn't have to move due to my wife's job relocation, we would still be going to the gym. I very highly recommend going to Eddie for any fitness goals you may have in mind. read more

Love love love this gym! I was training with Eddie for about 5 months & honestly the best trainer I've ever had. I was seeing progress quick & my abs were coming back. Since having my son I've been putting myself 2nd so I thought it was about time to get my dream body back. He gives you a diet plan & great suggestions on what you need to eat & work on to get the body you want. After graduating college I would try to work out & diet on my own & honestly it was very difficult for me to get back into shape. He makes the work out challenging every time yet it goes by very fast. A lot of his clients have been there for years so it proves how amazing he is. This gem is a a little hidden but it's in a plaza. Plenty of parking. I had been looking for a private gym to work out at. I hate the big commercial feel gyms. I just feel uncomfortable and at EG you get privacy and everyone there is just there to work out. I love working out with Gordon's clients cause I feel like everyone is there to push their limits. I Have been working out with Gordon for some months now and I have been getting stronger. My dieting hasn't been the greatest by what I do love and appreciate is that Gordon has not given up on me and pushes my limit when I fight him on it. Jokingly of course. He is really positive and is on you to make sure you workout. He truly has a passion for working out and getting healthy and is really flexible with working around your schedule. He offers boot camps class on Saturdays. But def inquire what Saturday's they are being held and where at. He likes to mix it up. Most of all his prices are really decent. He also offers a yoga class I believe Friday. Love that class too. He does accept cash, check and credit/debit. Def recommended!!! read more

As a person who has always struggled with my weight, I finally decided that it was enough and decided to take the first step. I started training with Eddie on January 1st (this years new years resolution was one that I planned to stay 100% committed too) and as of today June 17th. I have lost 55 pounds and a total of 22 inches. I enjoyed the intimidation free small gym with a friendly environment. There were alot of exercise that I could not do when I started and I have progressed so much its amazing. Eddie provides a great variety of different workout regimes and one will never feel bored. Each day was a different routine and I really feel that made my look forward to my daily workouts. I have now reached that point that if I don't work out for a day I feel shitty. This place is great. Trust me when I say it. When I first arrived here I was very unsure and slightly skeptical. I came in thinking, that this gym might not be adequate enough. However, I was proven wrong by the owner Edward. When you train here, it's like having your own personal gym. This gym has everything you need to get yourself back in shape. On top of that, the owner Edward is a really great guy. He does a good job at being both your friend and trainer. I came here because I couldn't tolerate not doing anything about constant pain any longer. For most problems...less weight=less pain. I wasn't overweight but I had no endurance and had done physical therapy before multiple times and worked out on my own but it still didn't relieve my back pain. I didn't want some young kid in college training me because I was concerned they might push me beyond what I should be doing for my injuries and end up even more hurt. I wanted someone experienced but obviously someone who would push me. When I first met Eddie he was very quiet but every question I asked he answered how my physical therapists answered also so that made me feel good about his experience. I've been going to him for 2 1/2 months and I've gained muscle, lost weight, but most importantly it's definitely reduced my back pain and tolerance for how long I can sit or stand better than it's been in years! He is very flexible with times or last minute changes. Doesn't make you feel like a whimp or awkward if you can't do something. Very positive attitude. Go to him. Stop looking at reviews for weeks and just go meet him. He is not your typical "salesman" type trainer. Low pressure if it doesn't work for you. His prices are far better than others. It's worth the investment even if you only do it a few months and learn from him and get back to doing it on your own.
