FYT Gym is the only gym I've ever been a member of and felt that sense of community. All of the coaches are welcoming, knowledgeable, motivating and great teachers. They focus on not only giving you a great workout, but also making sure you have fun doing it! There are classes for everyone - boxing, kickboxing, FYT Camp (bootcamp style workout stations), TRX, and even Yoga and Pilates!! The addition of Yoga offerings at this gym has been a real GAME CHANGER! They have a new Tuesday 6am Pilates and Yoga class with Coach Krista that will leave you feeling lighter, taller and more agile the next time you come in to box. It's the perfect add-on to all the demanding workouts, allowing your body to recover, stretch and strengthen in ways you can only accomplish on the mat. If 6am is too early for you there is Yoga on Saturday morning at 9am with Coach Melanie too! Such as perfect way to start the weekend. If you've been avoiding gyms in the past because they seem intimidating or pretentious, pop in for a free class at FYT GYM and you won't regret it!

Man, was I in for a rude awakening! I ended up booking an Advanced Bagwork class, which the staff recommends attendees doing 10 of the Undefeated, Strong & Champ classes before attempting. All the classes at Mayweather are HIIT (high intensity interval training). Short intensive sets, followed by a few seconds of rest. Having my hands wrapped up, boxing gloves on, I was ready to throwdown. The Advanced Bagwork class is exactly what I wanted. Mainly throwing punches on the various heavy bags & BOB's (body opponent bags), with some cardio from rowing machines, ropes & balance trainers. A few seconds of rest before moving on the next station. I kept switching from orthodox to southpaw, balancing out my stances. Loud hip-hop music blaring through the speakers helped the energy remain high, as we threw different combos & punched until exhaustion. The staff were great. They were friendly, accommodating & eager to wrap hands & provide support, when needed. Damian was the Advanced Bagwork instructor, and he was easy to follow & motivational. Mayweather Boxing + Fitness is located on the 2nd St. side at the Marketplace Long Beach, left of Stretch Lab & CPK, behind Trader Joe's. I was huffing & puffing for air, deltoids on fire, with my first two fingers on my left hand going numb from punching too hard/too much. And, it was all good! I felt great throwing all the jabs, crosses, hooks & uppers. The tension of the day melted away with each thump on the bags. If you're looking for an intensive workout, I highly recommend giving Mayweather Boxing + Fitness a try!

My first visit was fun and I am always looking for that vibe. High heart rate is sustained and I was drenched! That's a good sign! They're always packed! When you don't book early, you may be placed on a waiting list. Lots of people do back to back sessions like I do. People are happy here and they have a good rapport with the owners and coaches. I feel like no one is left behind. Work out playlists give everyone that happy and beast mode. They're all welcoming. The location is the best part! No problem with parking and next to it is the Trader Joe's. Across the street is Whole Foods. Healthy restaurants and cafes are just few steps away. I cannot complain. I have conveniences around me. Cleanliness,a major part to the gym quality,is not an issue here. Bathroom is super clean! They always go around and hand you sanitizing wipes. Full service! It also saves time for a member the station in-between breaks. They have free hydration powders, bananas and protein bars. They have 2 massage chairs. I know.... right? Such luxury makes a member stay,I am telling you! Lol. Lastly, cold towels are served after each work out class. Hmm... please continue doing this. (Note to the gym management: Use free and clear detergent. The detergent scent is overwhelming,:(. A good alternative would be a few drops of essential oil. Thank you in advance! I think I've said enough! See you there!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR CHILD IS TRYING TO LEARN SELF-CONTROL AND FOCUS, THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT YOUR…read moreCHILD WELL . My son is 8 years old and is a very energetic, happy kid. He has challenges with focus and self-control at times which is precisely why we wanted to enroll him in the Krav Classes. He started in the Lil Dragons program, and after about 4 months he was promoted to the Juniors program because he was doing so well. HERE is where it gets sad...he was told we would "trial" the Juniors class to see how he would do. After 6 weeks, he having difficulty with focus and self-control in the larger setting, but was making improvements over the last few sessions based on staff report and my observation. This past Tuesday, he wasn't paying attention and accidentally punched another kid in the face with his glove on (not hard but I'm sure it still hurt...he apologized to the child and resumed the class). I recommended that we put him back in the smaller class considering that my son was thriving in Lil Dragons, and he was consistently practicing safe partner work in Lil Dragons so there is no reason he would not thrive there again. Trying out lil Dragons to see how he does again posed no risk to anyone's safety. He just has ongoing challenges with focus and self-control which impacted his performance overall in the larger class. My son in a smaller class size would have more adult support and less distractions which would ultimately help him focus. This issue with the partner work the other day was not aggression, it was a lack of focus that resulted in a punch to someone's face (focus is precisely what a smaller class would support and DID support as of 6 weeks ago). 360 Krav's response was that he wouldn't be appropriate for the Lil Dragons class either (even though he was doing so well there 6 weeks ago that he was promoted!)...effectively expelling him from the program altogether. How 360 Krav has handled this is totally unacceptable. You promoted him to "try" out a new class...it was not a good fit, and now you are not letting him go back to the class that he was successful in. This is a disgraceful way to teach...you are literally punishing a child for being brave enough to try something new and then failing at it.

Full disclosure, I had zero knowledge of Krav Maga before joining the academy. I am a remote…read moreemployee who recently moved from south OC to Long Beach with my partner. One thing I wanted to do when I moved was to sign up for a class with my partner, and I wanted it to be something active. I used to do daily walks around my old suburban hilly neighborhood during my lunch hour, but realized the area where I am in Long Beach is not only completely flat, but also not exactly the safest. My partner was previously involved with 360 before they moved to the current location, and he signed us up for an intro to learn about the classes that were offered. As with most things new to me, I was a little hesitant, but somehow walked out of that first meeting signing up for a membership and the 6 week program. I went home with a little bit of regret, though embraced the decision because I am always open for something new and challenging, and I felt good about not being pressured into any commitment. When I thought about starting, I was afraid that when I came in, I would be completely lost, or that it would be uninteresting or intimidating. Much to my surprise, it was not intimidating at all, and I walked out of the first class already looking forward to the combinations I would learn in the 2nd class. I've now completed about 18 classes after my 6 week challenge. My partner exceeded his goal and lost 15lbs and I am super close to hitting my goal of 15lbs, considering I had 2 business trips and 1 leisure trip in the last 3 weeks. I've learned to be more conscious about eating; reading more labels and measuring intake, which has really helped to curb my emotional wfh snacking when I'm bored. Additionally, I really appreciate the Mom and Pop aspect of this academy - Candace and Alan are not only both super approachable, but are also really encouraging and motivational individuals. They are very helpful in correcting form, process, and confidence and I'm thankful to have made the decision to join 360, not only for the fitness aspect, but also the practicality of the education learned from the classes!
