Safe to say... she knew exactly what was about to happen. First bite in and it was game over. We looked at each other mid-chew like, ohhh man... this is amazing. The steak is slow-cooked to perfection -- ridiculously tender, juicy, and packed with deep, rich flavor in every bite. You can tell it's made with care. And don't even get me started on the rice and beans -- not an afterthought at all. They're seasoned so well, full of flavor on their own, and they complement the birria perfectly. Then you hit it with that squeeze of lime and dip into the consommé... next level. Absolute perfection. I've lived in Dade City my whole life, and I'm telling you right now -- we finally have a taco that's 100% worth the drive. No question. If you're even thinking about trying it... go. You won't regret it. Word of advice: get there early -- items sell out fast!

Fries were some of the best I have had in a LONG time... crispy outsides, soft insides, good flavor... yum! The burger was loaded with fried onion straws (delicious fried onion straws!) and was really, really good! The Sauce was not spicy (IMO)... but I eat a lot of really hot, spicy foods.. so it might be hot for some. Service was terrific also... I highly recommend PJ Ricks... and can't wait to try some of their other food!

I've certainly had better burgers but the service was friendly and eating from a food truck always makes anything you order more exotic and hip! I would certainly go back and try their pulled pork sandwich or brisket tacos. I had nothing better to do so I waited in my car and sent out a few emails to kill some time. The gentlemen running the truck were hard to talk to because their generator was extremely loud. I ordered the steakhouse burger that is stuffed with gorgonzola cheese, bacon, onions and drizzled with steak sauce and finished in the deep fryer. The burger was definitely unique considering the entire burger is deep fried. I've never had a fried burger before and didn't really know what to expect. It came out looking like a huge empanada. I would call it a cheeseburger empanada because that's what it was. The size was good and the gorgonzola cheese was very noticeable. The burger patty itself could of used a little more seasoning and the onions were grilled nicely. I didn't taste any bacon and I'm not sure if there was bacon on it. The burger was served in a paper boat with foil. I would have preferred a to go box. This was a different switch up from a traditional burger. I wasn't crazy about the style, but it was nice to try and tasted fine.

4.6 out of 5 stars on crab cake. Hear me out…read more If you want the closest thing to back home crab cakes you can find Charm City NEEDS to be on your list South Shore. I am 100% coming back. Portion size is on point, perfectly cooked, just enough added filler to stick together without any extra bs folks be trying to add, (corn and carrots do NOT belong anywhere near a crab cake - just crab and seasoning and sauce is all it is ) they check all the boxes. Speaking of sauce, I love that they include sauce on the side. It's like an old-bay - mayo based mix, unique to this place and yum, it compliments the cake flavor and texture (which is a teeny itty, tiny bit dry) very well. I consider myself a crab cake connoisseur, from 2005-2025 I made it my mission to try every crab cake possible in the DMV, Richmond to Baltimore, as a hobby, and passion! Life has been tasty! So far Koco's Pub in Baltimore is the golden standard. Here's why, I was so mad that they didn't have any Remoulade, this was the first place (local- big chains & knock offs are clueless) that said, sorry, we don't have that. When it came, it looked exactly like this one did from charm city, the only difference is the Remoulade was inside the crab cake at Koko's (and my house cause that's how I do it) and to be fair, that's the ONLY place that I enjoyed that experience with so a 4.6 is a really good score, maybe even higher. The dip is rich, tons of crab, flavor and would taste good on toasted bread, or chips or celery if that's your thing. Overall definitely glad I found them and I had to give props where props is due!! No one can tell me otherwise, I'm so confident here!! Enjoy and you're welcome. Also, online ordering was a BREEZE, it was ready and I got text updates along the way. Love the communication and easy to do business process they have, even in a food truck!
