We stumbled on this place by accident going to a different establishment. I'm so glad we went in and checked out the menu. The decor is like a modern farm vibe. It was clean and aesthetic wise... very chic! They have a wide selection of food and a bonus for others... got gluten free menu. Our server, Miranda did a fantastic job and suggested the favs on the menu. She kept checking on us and overall service is superb! For those who loved the old taste of McDonalds french fries, this is the place to go. They use beef tallow to cook their potatoes. Ohhh... it was heaven to taste that again. And let's not forget their pastured-raise eggs. It does taste different.. the creaminess mixed with the fluffiness of the scrambled eggs makes one of the best tasting scrambled eggs I have had in a long time. If you haven't checked this place yet; you should now.

When one gets invited to attend a soft opening of a new restaurant in town, ONE MUST GO! As such, I took my parents to this cute new spot opening in the burbs and we were not disappointed!! FIRST of all - the staff is beyond friendly, welcoming and getting their bearings with this spot that is bound to be a hit. Our server was full of personality, jokes and made our experience fun and light. SECOND - the location is prime, located in busy strip mall area. Parking is ample and it's easy to spot the bright red signage throughout the surrounding businesses. The interior is large, allows for a variety of seating for parties large and small, boasts lots of windows and brings a bright vibe to the space. The OG spot started in IL and WI, and the interior screams all things Midwest! Cozy yet chic and comforting! Even the menu items have small nods to special spots! THIRD - THE DRINKS!! With a massive coffee station + barista bar and FULL bar, there are plenty of options for everyone! Alcohol, zero proof, fun coffee creations, smoothies - you name it, it's yours! I opted for the iced brown sugar latte - which was perfectly sweet! Mom opted for a warm caramel macchiato while dad stuck to his favorite, an americano! FOURTH - THE FOOD! The menu is massive! So massive that we had a hard time narrowing down what to get - as everything looked great. Most items have a corresponding picture which was helpful. We opted for a mixture of sweet and savory - starting with the cinnamon roll. Perfect sized and delicious! After much deliberation, I decided on the Shakshuka - which was an amazing blend of spices, tomato broth and poached eggs. YUM! I will admit - the wheat english muffin on the side did not do the best job of sopping up the egg yolk and broth, but it sufficed. Mom noshed on the Habanero hash and eggs - which she seemed to like. Dad had a more traditional breakfast, which hit the spot! All our dishes came out in good time, gorgeous in presentation, filling and delicious! Although this meal was complimentary, the pricing here is on point, reasonable for the quality of ingredients and portions! With this new spot opening SOON, and close to home, I know this will be my new favorite breakfast joint! Welcome to the neighborhood, Egg Harbor!!

Attended their soft opening and this will now be in our regular brunch rotation! It has been a few years since I've visited one of their locations in the Chicago burbs so I wasn't sure what to expect. Walking in, we were greeted by a bubbly host and quickly seated in a nice booth by the windows. I noted that it looks like there will be some outdoor patio seating too. The decor was cute farmhouse with rustic wood beans and red hanging lights. Noise level was a little high which made conversation a little tough during busy hours. We ordered chai and vanilla lattes. Delicious! They have a sugar free syrup also available. Coffee was served in cute ceramic mugs that are available for purchase. They have a few cocktails on their menu including a spicy or mild Bloody Mary. We ordered their chicken salad, an egg dish topped with sour cream, and a California club. Their potatoes are cooked in beef tallow but there is a vegan option also available. Don't miss their seasoned salt hidden amongst their condiments! Their mixed fruit side dish was fresh and sweet. Don't miss their poppy seed dressing! Basically, everything was really tasty! My only complaint (albeit minor) was their cream of chicken rice soup was super watery and not thick and creamy like what we are used to in the Midwest. Service was really good, especially since many were still training. I loved that they provide extra napkins and wet wipes in a basket to each table with the food. They were open until 2pm when we visited. I just wish they were open later!! We will be back for sure - and very soon!

We've been looking forward to the opening of Egg Harbor, as we love a good brunch place, so we decided to grab a meal as soon as we could. Exterior is like all the other businesses, due to the shopping center rules, but once you go inside it's quite a nice space. Counter bar, booths, outdoor seating and just a relaxing vibe all around. We were seated quickly, though they were pretty busy and our waitress came right away. She was friendly, helped us pick some of their favorite items, along with a couple lattes. My wife had the eggs Benedict, that was traditional and quite tasty and I grabbed their habanero hash skillet, which tasted great and even made me sweat. Coffees were smooth and came in a large mug, which was a great surprise compared to some other brunch spots. We had a minor issue w a dirty dish, but when we pointed it out, the whole crew was apologetic, got my wife a new coffee, took it off the bill and had the manager come by and check on us. That's customer service! We enjoyed the experience and will be back.

My husband I ordered Habanero Hash + Eggs with chorizo, peppers (assumed habaneros), onion, shredded cheese, sour cream and cilantro with an English muffin. The eggs were over-easy and cooked perfectly. I could not taste any chorizo and did not see any chopped habanero peppers. It was spicy, but the spice was more peppery like ghost pepper. My husband had a Bloody Mary which he really enjoyed. I ordered a mimosa, light on the OJ. The server said it may not be a full glass because they limit the sparkling wine to 6 oz. The first mimosa I received looked like solid OJ. I asked the server to have it remade. When I got the 2nd one, there was no way it had 6 oz Sparkling wine. The stemless slim glass they used is 9.4 oz. The mimosa I was served was only about half full with the juice. I ordered a side of pancakes (very good) which were supposed to be $5.00, but was charged for a full order of pancakes. The server was happy to make the adjustment on our bill. The coffee was excellent. We're not likely to return, but wanted to try it because we're from the Upper Midwest.

From the moment I entered, I saw a very clean & welcoming spot! About 10 tables & towards the rear of the restaurant, there were 2 booths as well! The lady that took my order had to be of French descent, I immediately noticed her accent. She was extremely helpful in pointing out things on the menu. She asked if I wanted Sweet or Savory, and I really wanted a lunch dish that showed me who Crepes & Dreams was. I decided to go with her recommendation of the #4, which consisted of the house mix, Ajvar(almost spread that had tomato & eggplant, plus spices), fresh mushrooms, cream cheese & my choice of cheese, I went with Swiss. If you're a vegetarian, you're going to have a lot of options, but don't get me wrong, there's plenty of meat options also, plus you can make your own. The order took around 10 minutes, but I had my fresh lemonade & there were some people ahead of me. I saw another woman of French descent, I think she was an owner. She had a brief conversation with me before my food arrived, then went to help the other woman behind the counter. Everything is made out front in front of you. The menu broken up in 2 categories, Sweet and Savory and they are very easy to read and on blackboards right behind the register. The crepe arrived & let me tell you, it was huge. The picture I took of it does not do it justice. I finished about half, and asked the woman for a box. Both the box she gave me & the plates the crepes are served on, are definitely recyclable. I will say that take out boxes & dinnerware have made leaps & bounds, since I was in the biz...great to see! My next visit to Crepes & Dreams, I'm probably gonna get a Sweet crepe, unless I'm hungry for something Savory! Again, you will not be disappointed when you try this restaurant.

It's always a treat - it reminds me of Broussard's, the little Cajun/Creole joint in Loveland that closed down many years ago and was my introduction to the more home-y style of this cuisine. My most recent visit was this past weekend, a Saturday night dinner with judges and club members for the event I was participating in. We sat on the patio, which made for catching some nice evening breezes after being out in the unseasonal, record-breaking heat for the day. Service was a little spotty - friendly, but orders a bit mixed up and plates brought out 2 at a time with significant gaps in-between (which meant it took a while for our party of 7, and I happened to be the last person served). I will say this is unusual, so I'm not sure if it was a new server or if was particularly busy in the kitchen. It may be that since it is not the norm it was all the more noticeable? In any case, I always enjoy the food. This weekend I had the Crawfish Monica served over rice. I'd say that the Monica sauce is more creamy than spicy, which suits me just fine since my spice tolerance has waned as I've gotten older. It came with a house salad on the side - perfect for some relief from the rich, creamy sauce. I will say that the dinner portion is enough for 2 or 3 meals - sadly I forgot my leftovers in the hotel fridge (an all too common occurence).
