Happened to go here for lunch meeting with a vendor and few of my colleagues and it proved to my expectation. The menu has typical brunch favorites and some! I ordered Shakshuka ( Moroccan dish of spicy tomato gravy with 2 poached eggs) and cheesy grits on side. The Shakshuka was made perfectly with runny egg yolk in the middle of firm egg whites. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious as well. Side of grits was made well except it was too salty. It was not that bad to reject the dish but it was overpowering the pallet in every bite. To their credit the grit texture was one of the best one I ever had and complies with what they advertise that it's sourced from family owned old school stone mill. Two thumbs up for clean, trendy, open interior. This was my first time here and quite satisfied with service and food. Would like to try out their other dishes on menu. read more

This is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I had the griddle combo with cinnamon bun French toast, bacon, and scrambled eggs with cheese. They even brought warm syrup for my French toast which was not really needed since I had the icing for the cinnamon bun French toast. Everything was perfection with the exception of my scrambled eggs. They layed a slice of cheese on top and I wish the would have mixed them with the eggs. It's like the forgot I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and added it on to at the last minute. read more

Stopped here on a Sunday morning on way back to Athens. We got there at 10:00 and found there was no wait. We were seated and the service was great. My wife had the lobster scrambled eggs which she enjoyed. Very nice size pieces of lobster. I had the traditional breakfast of two eggs over medium with their corn beef hash for my meat. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash had nice size chunks of corn beef. We both thought the oven potatoes were dry with little seasoning. Overall a good breakfast spot. read more

I've had Egg Harbor Cafe several times in other cities and the food and experience is usually good. However, I'm not a fan of this location in Alpharetta.The atmosphere is terrible...reminds me of eating at a bad hotel restaurant and the water glasses on the table are filthy. Not sure if they have an issue with their dishwasher, but the guy at the table behind me also noticed the dirty glasses on his table and was going around to empty tables trying to find a clean one and no servers or managers even noticed. The food itself wasn't bad. The pancakes, eggs, and bacon were good, but not worth the price. For some reason, they give you a cold block of butter to try and spread on your pancake, but you can't spread it since it's cold and the pancakes aren't hot. The coffee was very good and the service was pretty good when they were around. I would never go back to this location, but I always enjoy the experience at the Sandy Springs location. read more

Very disappointed as this had been one of my favorite breakfast places for a couple years now. Since we had to wait 30 minutes, we asked if we could get coffee while we waited. They charged us for the coffee and then charged us again when we sat down. I even said to the server "can I get a refill"? Pointed out the charge and the server said "the manager said to charge you". I ate here for Sunday Brunch and I am happy to say that this location is so close to home for me! Even on a crowded Sunday morning, there was still plenty of parking and wait times were reasonable. Their menu has a little bit of everything, so everyone in your dining party should be able to find something. I saw several things that I wanted to try and the hardest part was narrowing it down. Guess I'll just have to go back for another visit! For my entree, I chose the avocado toast. I was drawn to this because this was the first time I have seen avocado toast without red pepper flakes on it. I am not a spicy fan and this really appealed to me. Instead, it was topped with cherry tomatoes, arugula, & a balsamic and lemon drizzle. It was very tasty. I do wish it had had more avocado and a little lesson arugula, but it was still very good. It also came with a side of fruit and an egg. My scrambled egg was very good as well and it was nice to have some protein with my meal. If you are a looking for someplace wonderful for breakfast this is your restaurant. Even better is that if you need gluten free options this place has a huge menu! I cannot wait to come back and try more items. My husband and kids loved their breakfast foods as well. My husband kept going on about the jalapeño in his inlet tasting like the ones I grow in the garden. I had the gluten free pancakes with eggs and chicken sausage and also ordered a side of hash browns that I shared with my teens. All were delicious. The pancakes were big and fluffy and didn't have that texture that some gluten free foods have. That's how you know they are doing it right. My food selection was tasty, hot and well presented. The latte was very tasty as well. We came here after Black Friday & let me tell you that was the best decision I've made in awhile. If you are going to serve breakfast you better do it right & they do. We got 2 Ultimate Skillets (pictured) & The Barrington Benedict. I also got the Peppermint Mocha (pictured) which was delicious and a great addition to the meal. We had coffees to-go and they provided the cutest little to-go cups. This was a very family friendly place, but also a great aesthetically pleasing place for the younger crowd. We love the Egg Harbor Cafe in Sandy Springs but the Alpharetta location is absolutely awful. I would give it 0 stars if I could. We came here on Fathers Day and waited over an hour for our food. It then came out cold. Very disappointing. My husband wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so we came out again in July to the Alpharetta location. This time there was only 4 other tables that were occupied. The food took 45 minutes to come out and it was missing the muffins. While waiting for our food, we heard another couple leave due to the wait.. When done right, the food and service at Egg Harbor Cafe is wonderful- especially if you love breakfast food ( the Habanero Hash is to die for!!) but skip the Alpharetta location until they get all kinks worked out. read more

This place is a complete joke as far as service goes. It's horrible. Servers will be standing around doing nothing, even looking at your table and it's obvious you're ready to order. Or they walk by, look at you, and continue walking, instead of saying ... someone will be with you shortly. This is not only a problem with the servers, it is a reflection of poor management. While I'm not a person who minds change, I do mind a downgrade. This was a 4 star breakfast spot that got rid of their phenomenal coffee for a mediocre one and got rid of their black currant flavored ice tea--so the things that made them special and unique from almost every other breakfast spot, they've taken away. The food is still good (it's hard to screw up breakfast food) and the service is still good. But the things that made it better than all of the other local spots, will be missed. read more

Found this while exploring Alpharetta, Great breakfast! The traditional breakfast offering on the menu had my wife full and satisfied. For something a little on the spicy side try the Aztec Omelet. Both dishes came with home fries and an english muffin and their homemade jelly. They offer a full selection of breakfast items as well as sandwich offerings. The sweet tea was very fresh and they serve great coffee and leave a pot at the table. Definitely a place I will revisit frequently when in town. read more

We love egg harbor (both johns creek and Alpharetta). I usually get the dynamite omelette and hubby usually gets one of the skillets. My daughter tries different things each time and is always pleased. There is a barista at this location and the flavored coffees of the day are fantastic. The serving staff are wonderful. This location is fairly new, so they are still working out the kinks in kitchen but if you have any issues at all, the staff and Manager Scott are sure to make things right! Omelet was way overdone and this time a hair in the grits and we only received a half of a biscuit in exchange for the English muffin. A friend and I went today for the first time. Also my German shepherd Charlie! We LOVED everything! The service was amazing from the first moment...friendly, helpful and attentive. They even have a menu for the dogs!!! My fur child loves a burger, so they fixed a special one for him even though it was not on the doggie menu! He was thrilled...and we were even more thrilled with our Eggs Benedict! Best I have ever had anywhere! My friend had the Barrington and I had the Farmer's Market. They were both delicious yet I would always get the Farmer's (such an amazing variety of tastes). Both the hot and the iced coffees were absolutely perfect. This is an amazing find.
