Patrick and crew pressure-washed our house, patched old cracks, repaired dry rot, blended and smoothed uneven stucco, and covered old vents with new mesh screens, before applying fresh paint. Patrick worked with us to match our original paint colors. He also helped create some custom solutions at our request: we have generic 70's era metal frame living room windows that don't match the rest of our 1920's era Sears kit house. He added vertical wooden strips that fit in the outer wooden frame, and the front living room window now looks more harmonious with the general style of the house. He stopped by the next day and within a couple of days I had a good estimate that neatly detailed the scope of work applied to paint my house. I should have written this review years ago. Patrick painted my house in 2002, the first spring I owned it (a ramshackle wreck, then, that he made look respectable); then again a few years later once I'd finished renovating & adding to it & wanted new colors; then again a couple of years ago. He did the first interior job for me last week, along with some odds & ends outside (powerwashed the house & deck - looks GREAT - and painted the floor of the front porch a new color, window frame on the garage, etc.). I had wanted to do some interior painting myself but was defeated by the stairwell - too high. Patrick did a flawless job there, too - painted the stairwell perfectly, made the screwholes for the old puppy gate vanish, also made a large Napa quake crack vanish. Not a speck on the window or carpet, very clean lines from the white trim to the wall. And outside, every time - my garden has had zero damage, no paint, no trampling. (I'm a weekend gardener who takes pride in her plants - an Annie's Annuals addict - so that matters to me!) And his prices are very fair. My neighbors have used Patrick, then other neighbors - over the years, he's picked up half the neighborhood as customers, all by word of mouth, all happy with the work. We were very pleased with the quality of work that Patrick and his team delivered. They were very professional and kept the property very clean. There was careful attention to detail on cracks in the stucco and caulking all around windows and doors. Another bid we got told us that the paint would fill the cracks. What a joke! Mr. Patrick Egan (owner) and his team of painters did an expert, and beautiful, job of painting my house in Hercules. The house was built in 2004, so it was time for repainting the entire exterior. Mr. Egan was meticulous in completing and correcting the original work done in finishing the exterior, by having his crew seal all gaps, blemishes, and critically, all joints between the stucco and wood. None of this careful preparation and sealing had been done, during house construction. All surface preparation was done carefully, as well as all finish coats. Mr. Egan used top quality, commercial materials throughout the job. Therefore, the newly repainting home will likely go quite far in resisting the elements, for some time to come. We wanted our kitchen cabinets resurfaced and painted white (from a natural wood tone), along with painting of some doors, door jams and our ceiling in the main kitchen/family room. Patrick came recommended through a neighbor. The inside of our home needed a paint job and bad. We had 2 other bids. 1 considerably lower and as this guy is actually walking out of my driveway he quickly shakes my hand and says thanks and keeps on going. We believe he wanted to use cheap products and low balled the price, and a cheap hand written estimate NO THANKS ! Another guy considerably higher, just kind of straggles up the driveway like he just got out of bed and didn't really care about much of anything but was still polite just expensive, NO THANKS ! Patrick came in and didn't rush us. He was professional, explained everything, looked around, took all the pertinent info and said he would get back to us and politely left. He gave us a fair price and we went for it. Him and his crew arrived on the scheduled date and on time. I thought he would just leave his crew and come back later for them but no he stayed with them and worked with them the entire 3 days. Our home looks great. What a difference. They even moved some furniture for us and worked around it and had everything covered in plastic. They actually spent the entire first day masking everything off.
