They were flexible on when they could meet and show the place. It was a great price and a well kept building. I applied and they accepted me as a tenant. I moved in during a hot summer month. I had some minor issues about a month or two in and as a tenant, you can go into your app/portal and file a service request. This process was SO EFFICIENT!! I was able to choose multiple times I was available for issues to be handled and whenever I did have a problem, it was rectified in a timely manner. Sue was my point person throughout my experience renting from Modern Property Management. She always showed concern for my issues and addressed any problem I may have had. I finally met her in person on my walk-through when I moved out (heading back to NY) and it was such a pleasure! I hope MPM has apartments available when I choose to return because I would love to rent from this company again! Thanks for a great experience my first year in LA!

Prior to my tour, I was in contact with Teja who was very helpful. When it came to the day of the tour, I guess there was a mix up in agents, but Janaka ended up showing up to the building, to give me a tour of the place. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable! :) During the application process, the application is very old school. It took us a few days to get everything together. We had to print and scan a bunch of documents then submit it via email. From what I know of family who work in the industry, most applications are done online and you can submit information as well as link bank accounts electronically lol. I wasn't comfortable submitting all of our personal information via email, so I asked for them to call me for additional information that I'd be able to provide over the phone. Although the application process was odd, the service was pretty great. The only reason I deducted a star was because like other reviews have said, they don't get back to you after your application. I had to keep reaching out to them to get answers. I also didn't like that they assume instead of verify. My husband and I rent an ADU in Commerce, but they said "currently listed address in application doesn't seem to be a rental". My husband has been here a few years and I just moved in last year. His driver's license and some bills reflect our current address, but we were never asked for additional information to verify. We also make well over the standard 2.5-3x income. I am pretty chill so I'm okay with not being selected for the unit as it is privately owned, but I didn't appreciate having to wait and keep asking for updates on why we weren't selected lol. Anyways, great people! It's just the communication that could be better and more clear. I would still recommend Perch Properties based on my interactions, because they still respond if you reach out to them :)

Some real estate agents help you buy a property. Others go so far beyond their responsibilities…read morethat they become an essential part of making your dream a reality. Deborah and Gulshen belong to that rare second category. Our goal was not simply to purchase a property. We were trying to secure a place where children could learn, grow, and build their future. It was a mission close to my heart, but the transaction was anything but straightforward. Several other agents were unwilling to take on the deal because of the extraordinary challenges involved, particularly the difficulties of dealing with the agent representing the other side. To make matters worse, the commission being offered to our agents was significantly below the customary amount. Yet none of this discouraged Deborah and Gulshen. There were countless moments when they could have simply said, "That's outside our responsibility." Instead, they stepped forward, took ownership, and found ways to help. Every obstacle became their obstacle, and every challenge was met with determination, patience, and an unwavering commitment to finding a solution. Their dedication never seemed to be driven by the commission or the transaction itself. They embraced our mission wholeheartedly, with a level of sincerity, integrity, and personal commitment that I have rarely encountered in any profession. I will always be grateful to both of them, not only for helping us secure this property, but for becoming part of a mission that will benefit children for years to come. **Deborah and Gulshen did not simply help us acquire a building. They helped us create a place where generations of children will have the opportunity to learn and grow. That is a contribution whose value extends far beyond any real estate transaction.** A very special thank you to both of them, from all the young hearts at AlSajdah Academy.
