Before arriving to the dock, Trisha, who has been coordinating with us, and Brett, our captain, contacted us about half an hour ahead of time notifying us that Brett was ready for us at the lake whenever we arrived! Upon arrival, he provided a cooler with ice and water bottles for us to use to store some of our sandwiches and drinks. The boat ride was extremely smooth and he provided much insight into Lake Travis! The boat was equipped with speakers that allowed us to play our favorite songs and the slide & lily pad were a nice added touch! The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the location he chose, Devil's Cove, was great for pictures and swimming. Very knowledgeable and chill dude. He is quite the teacher and continuously gave us tips to get better. By the end of our 2hr session, Scottie was teaching my boyfriend how to carve in and out of the wave and even let him use a more advance board. Just a testament to how awesome Scottie is and how he can challenge you to do more once you nail the basics. We hope to be back in Austin and wakesurfing again with Scottie when we can!

He was an amazing driver, great coach, and almost *too* friendly. The boat we rode in was very nice, comfortable and threw a HUGE wake. We were 20-30 minutes late, and he graciously extended our lesson to get a full three hours on the water. I would recommend this to anyone interested in trying out the sport- or just wanting to spend some extra time on the water trying new tricks. I am already ready to go again!

I've been staring at the walls of our home since March and losing my black-ass mind; so something where we could be outside, social distanced, distracted from the insanity of our country, and active was a must. I'm still not sure how I stumbled across Unhooked Sports and eFoiling but I'm so glad that I did. Paul was SUPER responsive to all of my emails was actually able to get us a private lesson for 2 within a week. Boyfriend researched eFoiling online and I was beyond stoked to try it. I was petrified. Until we met Paul at the lake and saw how organized, professional and prepared it all is. Paul provides helmets equipped with microphones and headphones, so he stayed in constant communication with us the entire time. Whether he was reminding us to speed up, lean this way, or just cheering us on; I never felt disconnected. Boyfriend is good at everything and it look him about 5 wipeouts before he picked it up. I never got to my knees, so I ended up having the most exhilarating boogie board experience. It is fun and a surprisingly good work as we're both still sore 4 days later. It is expensive; but consider that each eFoil board retails at $12,000 and we were using 3. There's also the tech for each of the helmets and Paul provided us with lifejackets. If you're into novel, one-of-a-kind activities, then the price tag won't scare you off. The 2 hours we spent outside, on the water, away from the world and having fun was worth it.

I would not recommend Austin Boat Adventures based on our experience…read more We paid over $1,000 for a 4-hour booking but were picked up an hour late. We had to repeatedly call and essentially beg to even get picked up. Because of this delay, we only received 3 hours on the boat and were not offered any refund or partial compensation. "Adam," who handles bookings, initially told us the delay was due to a personal emergency involving someone's family. However, once we finally got on the boat, the captains informed us that the real issue was overbooking, which left us without a captain at our scheduled time. To make things worse, we were offered an unsafe and uncomfortable solution--merging our group of young women with a much larger group of older men to make up for the lost time. This would have put 16+ people on a boat not designed for that capacity. There was no apology, no accountability, and when we asked about a refund for the hour we lost, we were met with guilt-tripping instead of professionalism. The only positive part of the experience was the captains we ended up with--they were great and did their best to salvage the situation. Unfortunately, the booking management and overall handling of the situation were extremely unprofessional. Save your money and book elsewhere.

We've gotten the boat we wanted all three times that we have booked one. One thing to keep in mind that we did not anticipate: the cost of gas. On our first day, renting a boat, we went back to the marina to refill the boat, and it was $100 for fuel. If you join now, you can pay the initiation fee, and there won't be any monthly dues that you have to pay until next year! If they hadn't offered us that promotion, then we may not have joined. But we are so glad we did now!

Lauren was great at instruction with the kids, and both got up pretty quickly. She was also giving really good advise to me and my wife on wake boarding and surfing.
