It's the kind of place where you can slowly wander around and keep noticing new details in each piece. I never made it to their original location, but this new space is big and spacious, which makes it easy to take everything in. It feels open, welcoming, and thoughtfully laid out. After seeing everything, I'm definitely interested in coming back to try one of their workshops at some point. It seems like such a cool, hands-on experience.

I tried a one time class (3 hours) in the winter and made a snowflake and it made me want to try more classes out and learn how to do bigger pieces- and they have a lot of class variety and dates. I did their 6 week copper foil class and then a 4 week stained lead class. Kris and Lisa are both amazing instructors! I learned so much utilizing the two different techniques, and they're so helpful and knowledgable- always making themselves available to answer any questions you have. You can also use the workshop space outside of class time if you signed up for the 4 or 6 week classes (call ahead and make sure no other classes are going on). I haven't been able to do any fusing classes yet but I hear from everyone who has taken any that they're so fun. They also do repairs and sell stained glass pieces inside- They got it all!

So, at the encouragement of an out of state friend, I visited my local OTF. I was worried, embarrassed, all that jazz about going into a facility where the majority of people were already fit, but quickly - and I do mean quickly - I learned that the only competition I was in was with myself. The community is supportive, and the coaching staff is awesome. In particular, major props to the head coach, Jonnie, who is really kind and enthusiastic. He makes me feel like more than just a number walking through classes, and he always helps me adjust as I am working to get my fitness level up. OTF is an intense workout, and it is not always easy to get myself motivated to go, but I am already thinking about upgrading my membership to go more often because the workout I am getting is truly stellar. Finally, I don't know if it's because enrollment is down due to the pandemic, but I have never had to get on a waiting list to join a class. I always am able to get into any class, including my ideal spot of 6:15am, and these are not even full.

This studio tells you you have to go on the website to cancel your membership (which I don't understand since I paid at the studio). I did this twice but my credit card continued to get charged. I am at the point of having to cancel my credit card and dispute the charges. This is horrible customer service. I would not join any facility that does not let you easily get out of the membership when you decide it does not work for you.

They also did a good job choosing a good variety of cheeses and giving good pairings. The table crackers are refilled throughout the tasting, but nothing else on the cheese plate is refilled. The setup was not quite what I expected. There are six tables that seat ~six people, so you're going to be sitting with strangers. You start by going around the room and introducing yourself and your favorite cheese, basically as an ice breaker to meet everyone there. It was a little noisy and not intimate for a 2-person outing. It felt much more like a social gathering, and I think it would be better as a friend meeting, group gathering, or even a team-building activity. It's also a good way to meet strangers if that's what you're looking for. You get a discount on in-store purchases, which is a nice bonus. You can also take your leftovers home, so don't feel compelled to eat the entire plate like I did! The only other issue was that cashing out took a long time at the end because their POS system wasn't working well.

I can not sing enough praises about Dianne and Rebecca. Although I know Dianne and she is wonderful, Rebecca has worked with me now for over a year and she has truly changed my life. I have been in and out of therapy for years but I have never found someone quite like this gem. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know and she brings this love into every session without judgement. My fiance will often go with me to therapy also and the way that she works with us as a couple has changed who we are in relation to each other. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.
