The studio is welcoming, clean and has lots of space. I took class with Kristine, she led a powerful traditional style Baptiste class with a great rock playlist. I first discovered them through their amazing intro special for locals: three weeks of unlimited yoga for just \$59. It was the perfect way for me to try something I had always wanted to do but didn't know where to start. After the intro period, you can choose from various membership packages, pay-as-you-go, or even try their online remote classes if you prefer to practice at home. What really won me over, though, were the incredible teachers and the supportive community. It didn't matter what your body type was--curvy, slim, recovering from injury, or anything else--everyone was welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was so positive, and I never once felt out of place. I have knee issues, so there were a few positions I couldn't do, but I was always able to communicate that at the start of each class. The instructors would offer modifications or alternatives, which made me feel cared for and supported. On top of regular classes, SYC also hosts workshops and mini music concerts with yoga--another great way to experience the studio. Overall, SYC is a truly welcoming place to practice yoga, no matter where you're starting from.

Loved the ease of booking a class online and the clear instructions on what to expect upon arrival (entrance to studio, parking availability, mat rentals, etc.) The gentle flow class is relaxing, low intensity and effective for de-stressing and tuning into yourself. My instructor Stephanie was fantastic. She has a very clean and deliberate teaching style unique to her own practice which set her apart from the majority of yoga instructors I've had in my time. I had never really heard much about this place, but after seeing all the free offerings of the week I decided to check it out. Firstly, the staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The place was extremely clean and smelled amazing. The yoga room itself was dim, yet inviting. I really enjoyed the class and now I look forward to attending paid classes in the future. Glad I got the chance to check it out!

I tried this stretching program for the first time and experienced immediate results from my first…read moresession! I will preface this review that this was a free introductory session they offered for a limited time. THE PROCESS You lay on the table and the stretching coach does all the work to stretch you out. They strap you onto the table so they can pull on you without pulling you off the table. There is one stretch where they grab the arm on other side of table and then pull that arm across to twist you sideways at the hip....OMG....that was my favorite! It stretches your arm, shoulder, core, hip and leg all at once. ATMOSPHERE There is one large room with multiple tables. You are being stretched while other people are being stretched. Since this was my first visit, I wasn't nearly as flexible as some people there. It was truly impressive to see how far the coaches could fold back the legs of some of those clients! RESULTS AFTER ONE SESSION I immediately felt different when I walked. My hips and lower back were loosened up! It was truly amazing! Without repeated stretching the muscles tighten back up. They recommend a 12 week program where you come once, twice or three times per week. The per-visit cost is less when you sign up for more visits per week. TIPS - Wear loose clothing that will allow you to stretch. This is not the time to wear your tight jeans or restrictive shirt. - You can split a program between two people. For example, a couple both can purchase a program to visit twice per week to save a little cash, while each person uses one of the two visits per week. STRETCHING VS MASSAGE They don't offer massage but I compare since some people get a massage to loosen up their muscles. The stretching feels good but it's not relaxing like a massage. However, I found the results from one stretching session to be more productive for loosening up the body than massage. COST I found the cost to be less than a massage, but I don't get massages weekly. I didn't opt to continue the program because I couldn't afford it personally. However for those that are able, I believe you will get good results from a 12 week program! Only reason I gave it 4 stars was that I found it to be priced a little more than most can afford.
