    I've lived in Monmouth for three years now, and these people thoroughly deserve their loathsome…read morereputation. Owning a lease versus buying a house has great tax advantages and increased flexibility, but I finally gave up and bought a house rather than put up with being their customer. Upon moving into a large house I filled six contractor garbage bags with trash that their rehab crew missed. I replaced upwards of a dozen burned out light bulbs. Cleared out a campfire pit in the backyard. Fixed askew boards in the backyard fence. ABOUT THE PHOTO: I uploaded a photo of the air exchanger to the A/C & Heat Pump system. When I moved in it had been at least a year since anyone had changed its air filter. I found this out because the A/C was barely working in August, and then I noticed frost building up on the coolant lines. The unit was so clogged that cold air couldn't get out into the house, and condensation built up to form the iceberg pictured. It took twelve hours to thaw completely. If it's a critical repair they'll take care of it. Otherwise you might try complaining by Registered/Certified mail, but no guarantees as even this didn't work at times. How bad did the condition of the house get? Several broken overhead exhaust fans contributed to excess moisture buildup in the adjacent garage attic, to the point that water dripped into the garage in the height of the rainy season, followed by mold that I treated personally with pro-grade spray. Now it's another rainy season and several roofing shingles have come off in high wind. I told them by email a month ago but they haven't bothered to repair it. I'm semi-retired and take on housemates as a part time hobby and so I (tried to) depend on these people for part of my livelihood. Big Mistake! I've even had prospective tenants (i.e. my customers!) refuse to live here upon finding out that Rental Services manages my property. Finally, RSI will steal from you when you move. To be specific, their lease with its twenty-three addendums doesn't say anything about automatic deductions from your deposit for cleaning expenses, but when you give notice of departure they add in a new addendum you never agreed to, where you can either pay for a carpet cleaning service or they'll have it done and deduct the money from your deposit. You never agreed to these terms when you moved in, but when you move out they require your assent to their unilateral addendum or they'll keep charging you rent. Of course this is illegal and unethical, but just another example of their unethical business practices. In my case they even charged my deposit for bark dust and wood chips for my yard's flower beds. You'll rue the day you rent from the Rental Services Corporation!!!
