Great experience with Sunlogix installing solar with batteries on my home in the desert…read more Mark Licon, my account rep was outstanding. He has great knowledge and experience, which was invaluable as we designed our system. He listens and asks good questions, so he understood our priorities and goals. We came up with a cost effective plan that meets our needs really well. It's installed now, and we are very happy. Mark was with us through the whole process including finalizing our design (he recommended a panel upgrade that didnt cost much and seems to be well worth it), permit application and HOA approval and install (and after). Our home is in an older neighborhood designed by a well-known desert architect, so the visual effect of the system was important to us and to our HOA. Mark and his guys came out twice to do mock panel demos to make sure everyone (including the HOA) was satisfied and to get us through HOA approval, which went without a hitch. Install went well and Mark was key contact through that whole process as well. I had questions, and he made sure they were addressed immediately. Mikayla is another powerful asset at Sunlogix. She's invariably the one who picks up the phone when you call the office, and she seems to know everything. If you manage to call when she doesnt know the answer to your question, she knows how to get you through to the right person, right then. Any time Ive had a concern, she's been helpful and able to get me an answer right away. She is always pleasant, every single time. They've both provided great follow-up since the system went it. Mark came out and walked us through the system, making sure we understood all the parts and what to do when things come up. He walked us through the app and all its uses. Several years ago I installed a different system at a different house in the desert, with another company who installed it and then disappeared. No follow-up, no training, no service. This is why Im sensitive to service during the permitting, install and after. Sunlogix, has been the opposite of our previous bad experience. They have been great. The whole company, especially as represented by Mark and Mikayla, seems to be in this for the long haul. BTW I also met Glenn, the CEO of the company, when I dropped by to check out their offices. He was personally interested in our project, eager to make sure things were going well. There's real security in this kind of interest in customer satisfaction and loyalty, especially since this is an important upgrade for our home that we hope will help us love living in the desert for many more years,

I would like to leave a shout-out compliment for employee, Katie Fleig at Sunlogix. I was seeking…read more solar information from different companies, and Katie went over and above to answer my questions. She even provided a follow up contact from Michaela Terrell. Such outstanding Customer Service reflects admirably for Sunlogix. I would highly recommend any company that treats their customers with such personal service.

In short: if you are in Palm Springs / the Coachella Valley area and reading this while having just…read moreexperienced a flood, forget any other "big name" flood response crew. You are not going to find a better team than this. Dan's team is exceptionally skilled, organized, respectful and most importantly FAST- and I wish I'd found them sooner! Full review: When our tenants called about a flood at our rental property in Palm Springs, I panicked and did what I thought was the "safe" move: I hired a big-name local flood response company with decent (but not amazing) reviews. Six days later, the house was somehow still damp. Progress felt slow, and even my insurance adjuster strongly suggested that I do my research when choosing the company to do the repairs once the house was actually dry. I knew I didn't want that first company doing the actual repairs. I turned to Yelp looking for someone who could move fast, work cleanly, and understand the insurance process; someone who could get the job done with attention to detail, given how much attention we'd put into our home initially, but somebody who could work super, super fast. I thought I'd message AVA Flood Restoration and just get a second opinion on how the drying was going. I was on my way out to dinner and Dan (the owner) said he could come over later that night. I was already impressed, but wanted to wait and see what he'd say. Dan came over right at 9pm as promised. He told me that for a house of our size it simply didn't have the right amount of dryers, and that the house should have already been dry given it had been six days. He told me he had a team ready to go that night if needed, but that either way, he could assure me he could work with speed and attention to detail, and had experience with other homes where design was a key element. I slept on it, and the next morning, fired the other company and hired Dan. He took over from the other company right away, brought in about double the number of dryers, and was candid that the prior team had cut corners. That transparency was a huge deal because at that point I just wanted the truth and a clear plan. He handled explaining what had happened to my insurance company so insurance could just pay his team directly rather than me having to act as a middleman. From there, the pace and organization were night and day. Beyond drying, Dan's foreman, Kody, led the rebuild and he's genuinely skilled. New flooring, drywall, electrical and plumbing repairs, cabinets, paint... the whole scope. The crew was also incredibly consistent: they were there every day between 7-8am, and if I had questions they took the time to explain what was happening and why. The #1 reason I'd recommend Dan is communication. I'm a millennial, communication is everything to me. Dan is truly next-level. He responds to everything, is always a phone call away day or night, and he texts frequent updates so you're never left wondering what's going on. A lot of contractors say they communicate well. Dan actually does. Three weeks later, our house was back together and our tenants were back in, honestly better than ever. They made a pretty awful experience as good as it could have been - an enormous thank you to all of you: Dan, Kody, Mike, Derek - while we hope we never have a flood again, if we ever do need a contractor for other work, we absolutely know who to call. By contrast, our neighbors up the street had a similar pipe burst a year prior, and it took them six months to get back to normal dealing with other slower contractors who just didn't prioritize them. If you're dealing with flood damage and need someone who will show up, follow through, and move with urgency, Dan and AVA Flood Restoration are the real deal.

I did tease him about using "roofspeak" a little much, since I'm not always familiar with all the terminology. But eventually he gets the point across. What I like is that he is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. We had a leak issue that looked like one thing, but ended up being deeper. The original guy who looked at it took two stabs at it and did not fix the problem. Rogelio's original fix did not solve the problem either, but he got right back on it (during the Christmas holiday) to resolve the problem. The scope expanded somewhat (there were some hidden problems) and I did have to pay a bit more than the estimate, but he made me a fair deal. And he nailed it. After doing a water/hose test and a few days of rain, all was well. I'm happy I found Rogelio and Altura Roofing. I'm happy to recommend him to others, as well as to use him on jobs at my other property.
