These people go out of their way to make life difficult. They play every stupid "Banking Game" there is. The staff is not only rude, but dense and unprofessional. It is if they want to make me do business somewhere else. I will do my best to treat them the way they treat me. Ignorance is Bliss. I went in there for the first time. I was a new client and did not quite know their procedures for speaking with one of the bank associates. So the renter cop in their in tactical gear looking like he ready for a drug raid or better yet a tactical entry was rude looking for some reason to use the gun. I simply asked how would i seek to a bank associate. Normal banks do not allow the security to speak to the customer because he is not an official employee but a contractor to the bank. He was extremely unprofessional, abrasive and extreme unaware of the the aggression he was displaying to a new customer. So I got to speak to a teller and she seem like she was aloof in her duties. I was trying to pay my first car note. I had not received a payment voucher or anything. So this brainless chick wrote the amount I need to pay on a post it but would not give me my account number. So i had to beg her for my account number so I can endorse my check to the bank. So she didn't trust me so she gave me a stack of envelopes to mail my payment in. Definitely not a 21 century bank more like a 1933 bank. So then I go online to set up my account so I did not want to deal with Robo cop and the tree killer and that was another very interest experience. There are two EECU. One in Cali and this EECU. SO I end up calling the one in Cali and she in formed me there are two and you have to know which one you are associate with. So finally I got on the phone with my version of EECU and find out that you can pay your car note on line but they go through a third party. SO after going to several prompts I am just frustrated. If i had known they were a train wreck I would not have got my car loan with them. They are all over the place. I regret this. SO now I am trying to pay my second car note and I can't log in. SWEET JESUS ELIJAH!!!!... My recommendation is to walk on by. By the way the Mansfield Branch sucks. One solid star for the tellers, who are the most helpful and kind! However, nothing else about this credit union makes me happy, unfortunately. First, the hours are limited. 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, and 9 to 1 on Saturday. So if you have a regular job, you'll have to take time off to come in. Oh, and it won't be quick, so don't try to squeeze in on your lunch hour. There's a line, guaranteed, and it's never been quick for me. There is usually not enough staff. We had some issues when we first came here and I had to come in 5 or 6 times to have it resolved. No one knew what I was talking about and then the manager was in holiday, but no one told me, and so on and on. There have been a handful of inconsistencies, and services that they can't help with. We now only use the account to pay our landlord, but once we move, that will be it. Can't wait. read more

The customer support I received this morning was outstanding. There was a mishap with my auto loan where there were duplicate withdrawals; as you can imagine my account was off so when I notice this I came into the branch. I was quite concerned but the Financial Center manager Mrs. Vashyon Jackson put me at ease immediately. Mrs. Jackson looked at our account, and could see that something was off. She made necessary phone calls in real time and resolved the issue. I am thankful for the customer service I received and will continue to be a faithful EECU member. The facility is nice but the people not so much. If someone gives you a bad check be prepared for them to treat you with disdain as if you are the offender. Also, they used to send home paper statements but now that option will cost you $24 a year for 12 pieces of paper. Costs keep rising and every change they've made in the last few years only makes service worse. Considering the locations are not the most ideal I'd advise finding a different credit union. There are several alternatives in the area that are much better. read more

Could not recommend this credit union. For the third time in about 8 months, our debit/credit cards are mysteriously blocked - usually always happens on a weekend, when there is no way to get ahold of anybody. I understand the need for tight security, especially with all of the identity theft going on, but when we are using our cards in our hometown at our local grocery store, I just don't get it. Each time it happens, the explanation just gets more ridiculous. This time, we had a car full of kids heading to a soccer tournament in Plano, and stopped by our local grocery store(Kroger) to pick snacks/refreshments. We stopped to get gas first, then went into the store. While trying to pay, the card gets declined - both credit & debit - no groceries or snacks for us. We tried using the card at the local Chase and then drove out of our way to the local EECU - card denied and 'financial institution is not available' are what we got. Amazingly, there is no 24-hour number to call, even after looking online - can only block the card for being lost or stolen and request a new one(would mean both cards for us). Talking to EECU today, the explanation we got is that the card was blocked because we got gas and then went in to buy groceries - HUH??? The last explanation was that you can only use credit at certain stores and that you can only use debit with a pin at certain stores - when I asked how are we supposed to know what to do at which stores, they had no answers. My answer is to just close our account and go back to Chase - only used EECU since they had something to do with AISD, but can't take it anymore. read more

It does not matter which atm you go to they are constantly down. I have tried for two weeks to deposit checks at two different locations and the system is always down. Will be looking for a more reliable banking service. Another thing is there is no one to complain to after a certain time about the problems that you are having. Two locations in the Mansfield/ Arlington area are a disgrace! read more

One of my family members referred me to EECU. She told me they have great products to offer such as car loans, consolidation, credit cards with great interest rates. I went in on Friday March 9 in the Mansfield Office. The wait to see someone was extremely long. That was a dead give away. Anyway, we waited awhile and finally got a rep. She was great!! Loved her!! However she couldn't finish everything my husband and I wanted to do because she was leaving on vacation for a week. So she left her colleague in charge. I called Saturday the next day to ask some additional questions. No answer. No return call back. Called Monday. No answer. Tuesday I called. No answer. I had to get in contact with the Regional Manager. She was very apologetic. I explained to her the unprofessionalism at that branch location. The manager of that branch called. She was very apologetic as well. They finally started the process for the things we wanted done on Wednesday. The communication was better. However the process of getting things paid was very slow. Anyway, one of the things I had done originally was applied for a cc. They took so long with paying my cc off that the interest hit on both of them. I called the manager of the branch and explained how unhappy my husband and I was with the service. Once again she was apologetic but didn't do anything about it. She also informed me they have 30 days to payoff my debt. I told her they could have sent me the new cc (which she claims it would've taken 2 weeks to get) and I could've paid my cc off myself. My family member told me it only took them 4 days to pay off her cc. Mind you my husband was refinancing somethings as well. Process was slow. When the rep came back she was not only apologetic she was putting rushes on things. The original rep was the only person that actually did something to really help us. The lack of communication and the slow process is horrible. I loved Maria the original rep she should be a manager. Because she got things done. She's the only reason why I gave them 2 stars. I wish We would've went to another credit union. Not happy with management owning up to the interest that hit my ccs. Apologies don't mean anything when you don't do anything to make your customers happy. Had the original rep gotten back earlier she would've rushed everything something management didn't or couldn't think of. I would be looking into another credit union. One that have better communication and better service. Not happy but glad everything was done so I no longer have to deal with them. read more
