And if I want to add a car I have to pay $15 for every added car & they only accept cash or money order for added cars! Why the fee? Who knows! After a terrible experience at another bank, I decided to give Texas Trust a try. I have a few…read morefriends and co-workers who are members and have heard nothing but good things. Having dealt with several rude, impersonal big banks, I figured I had nothing to lose. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the tellers. Unfortunately that's not something I'm used to based on previous experiences with banks. Once I was greeted and checked in, I waited to be helped. While I anticipated a long wait, Monica came to help me right away. Monica walked me to her desk and we continued the process I initiated online of opening an account. All of my perks were added to the account after I had to show (what I felt was extensive) documentation. Monica was very thorough in making sure that everything was set up properly and that I was satisfied. What I really like about Texas Trust is that they printed my debit card on site. Usually you have to wait for an unspecified time to receive a card. Nope, with Texas Trust you receive your card and can start making purchases right away. I will say that some of their employees at other sites are lacking. One in particular, Darion, emailed me with follow up information that was needed to successfully open my account since I started the process online. When I emailed him back with a follow up question, I never received a response. Wait, what? Then, another employee called me to see about me coming in to open the account. He was not very knowledgeable and when I informed him that I had recently moved (within the last 7 days) he basically said that I would not be able to open an account because I had no proof of residency. Just because someone has not generated an electricity bill does not mean there is no proof of residency. Shouldn't a lease qualify? Well, according to this gentleman it would not or would require further verification. Luckily, the branch staff at this location is a bit more knowledgeable and follow up with customers. I'm happy that my money (and business) has been transferred to this bank and will continue to be in the coming weeks and months.
