This review is not about this particular store or the staff that work there, rather EE in general and especially their support and customer services. Customers are there to be milked and dictated to. The only service they offer is to make you pay up, even for services that you cancel and no longer want. They then threaten you. Dreadful phone wait. Easily 1hr and then no answer. Web site is a disaster. For example when you want to see you mobile 4 gb box info, you try and add it, it then can't find the number or sends a txt code to the number which of course can't be accessed on a 4 g box. Anyone with an iPhone will know that if you twist your charger slightly at the end it will almost immediately break and become useless. This happened to me this week and I had a mini panic when I thought of my life without my iPhone so I rushed out to the shops to find a decent replacement without spending a million pounds (or there abouts) on an Apple charger. After popping in to a few phone shops including Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone I went in to the EE shop. As with all these shops they make the phone accessories hard to find. In EE's case they were to the right of the counter near the floor. Their stock wasn't great to be honest but I did find what I was looking for. I ended up going for a 2 meter long Belkin charger which means my phone and I never need to part again. One gripe with this EE store was the staffing levels. I only needed one item and there was only one member of staff on when I went in and he was busy with another customer who was obviously taking a phone contract out and would be a while - I almost abandoned the purchase but while the lady was deciding on tariffs or something he came and ran my item through the tills. Hats off to him for that - but I would suggest they have 2 members of staff on at all times. read more

Extremely poor experience at EE store today, which highlighted a severe lack of joined up thinking within the company at this time. As a result, would strongly advise against anyone purchasing a new phone or contract from an EE store now, because due to COVID19 no mobile phones are on display in the store and the staff will not take a device out of its box to show customers. So if, when you get the phone home, you do not like it, you are stuck with it, because the EE store will not accept returns or adhere to the previously standard 14 day cooling off period. This very unhelpful stance, currently adopted by the EE stores, is completely at odds with their policy on purchasing a device from their EE website, as their online purchases are still operating the 14 day returns policy. Staff at EE stores (in particular Belfast's Ann Street branch) also leave a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. Their managers in particular are not thorough, or knowledgable about the products they are selling, which led to my opting for totally the wrong choice of phone and although EE customer service helpline advised me to return the unwanted phone to the store, the staff there were totally uncooperative and unhelpful in their manner from the moment I re-entered the store. One of the most unpleasant retail experiences I have ever had. So despite having been an EE customer for several years (and Orange prior to that) I will not ever be stepping foot into an EE store again or taking out an EE contract in the future. Thoroughly unsatisfactory and frustrating experience and especially disappointing to encounter such an inflexible attitude during this time of COVID19, when other retailers are doing their best to minimise additional stress for their customers.
