Updated review on Edwin Jasper's office. I understand that insurance rates are almost through the roof in California. I guess they've changed the staff there at the office because in the last month I needed to get in contact with them to get a new vehicle insured through State Farm I have not had one complaint as of yet. I didn't have time to shop for a new agent due to my busy life to search for a new agent but I'm glad I didn't. Juanita helped me out through out the process and made it incredibly the process very smooth. I'm currently in the process of getting a new vehicle insured through them as well. WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! Lack of communication! Emails and phone calls ignored! Told repeatedly I'd hear back from Edwin Jasper and NOTHING! My husband calls and leave messages and NOTHING! They raised our car insurance an additional $300 without prior warning! No communication before hand that there would be a change. It feels like THEFT! Finally spoke to some woman 3 months after the 1st rate raise increase because I received a text from her about ANOTHER INCREASE! When I called to inquire about the text and mentioned the prior increase, the woman claimed they mailed something. I never received it. Either way it doesn't excuse my phone calls and emails being ignored by Edwin Jasper!! I have never experienced this lack of customer service in my life. We have been with State Farm Insurance for a long time our Agent retired and was transferred to another State Farm agent. The new agent was inexperienced and was very unresponsive to our basic needs and questions, so we switched our Home, Auto & Personal Articles Policy to Edwin's office. After the transfer Edwin completed a Insurance & Financial Service review and uncovered we needed a Personal Liability Umbrella Policy and insured our Rental Property. Wow, what a difference! Best move ever! Edwin and his team are very professional, responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. We have only worked with Edwin, Jasmine, and Juanita so far and they have been incredible! If there was an option for 0 stars, that would be my rating for this Agency. I myself who have worked in the insurance industry for over 3 years and might I add, I wasn't even P & C licensed have way more knowledge and understating of how things work than the girls in that office do. Their lack of accountability is quite frankly, disgusting. There are ALWAYS countless mistakes made by them and when you call to get things sorted out, they just make things worse. When talking to them they are rude and just lack basic human compassion. I feel like Edwin needs to have a better hiring process when it comes to who he brings into his agency because this just reflects so poorly on his business. You can't even get the guy on the phone. If you aren't going to be at your agency to supervise things, then at least hire people who are competent and who are going to be able to run the place when you aren't there. I am losing at least $1,000 a year on my homeowners insurance. I called the office of Edwin Jasper in March 2021 as I have recently opened up a home business and needed commercial coverage. Angel Jaramillo convinced me bundling with State Farm would save me money. I cancelled my Hippo homeowners insurance and paid and set things up with State Farm. A very nice inspector came out and I figured things were done. A week later Angel emailed me saying because I had a small homeowners claim in February of 2019 I cannot get State Farm homeowners insurance. My old carrier of Hippo won't take me back now that I've cancelled (only a few weeks ago). I have expressed to Angel how upset I am about his error and he gave me some other agent's information who all had much higher quotes. Angel's mistake is costing me many thousands of dollars. I am so upset and it seems the office of Edwin Jasper does not care. read more

A lady hit my car with a laundry cart damaging the left front part of it. I called Mrs. juanita, I explained what happened and she said... don't worry, this is not collision. You're going to pay just $100dls. That was a big fat lie. I ended up paying $600dls. She really needs training. Lying to clients is wrong. Run away from these people. I had been relentlessly shopping for lower insurance rates online with several major US carriers. One day I found myself drving by Edwin Jasper's office and felt the need to stop and compare their rates vs. my current carrier at the time (major US carrier); I was greeted by a friendly staff. Juanita provided me combined quote for my H0-6 Condo and 4 auto policy rendering lower rates with an approximate annual savings of $325.00. This was an opportunity to save money which I could not pass, thus making the switch to State Farm Insurance. A few days later I came by the office to bring additional information to Juanita, thus finalizing the switch to State Farm; the staff was kind enough to invite me to stay and join them in celebrating Edwin's Birthday with a song a some cake. I've been insured by Edwin Jasper's office for 7 plus years. I love the customer service of this office so much I have referred multiple family members. The office manager Jasmine is amazing and always helps me with my insurance needs. Nancy is also very knowledgeable and helps me when ever I have an issue with a policy. Helpful 5 years ago when we were switching from AAA but I called months ago to reset my rates due to refinance on my house. Never called back. I called a week ago and asked for an appointment. Reception said that he manages his own calendar. Called today, Reception gave me a further run around and tried to say that he had called me back already. Not true. Would not give a direct number or set up an appointment. I told Reception that if I didn't speak with Edwin in the next 24 hours that I'd be switching agents. Can we give a zero rating? My parent has been trying to get this agent to correct a few things on a number of policies for the past year. They're not even complicated issues...remove a driver, correct the spelling of several names and cancel a policy. I even made the changes several times via the website which should have initiated action by him...at least a phone call. He has been of no help whatsoever...and neither has his staff. Update 03.15.16. My apologies, Mr. Jasper. It was not you personally but one of your staff. Trying to get a better understanding of my parent's complaint and found blame was aimed at the entire agency because of a staff member. However, I still do not understand why the changes on the website did not raise a concern after at least three attempts. I will get to the bottom of this and hopefully be able to raise the star rating. read more

I went with State Farm because they gave the best rate for my home insurance. Even with the slightly higher rate for my car, over the course of the year I'd save a lot of money so worth it for me. Edwin and his staff and have been wonderful! Miscommunication with companies happen but its how they handle it that makes the difference. Any issues that have come up are dealt with quickly and they are always pleasant when I call. When I got married 2 years ago, the venue required an insurance policy. My planner wasn't seeing everything they needed in the contract I got from State Farm so I forwarded an email with her questions to Juanita and within minutes my wedding planner let me know it was resolved. Juanita had called her and settled the confusion. Seriously...calling my planner so I didn't have to stress and be the person in the middle? Boom! Customer for life! read more
