Christina in his office is amazing and very knowledgeable and did everything she could to help with schedules and gave direction with what to do next and explained anything that was needed and helped with handling a lot on her own to help with my father's appointments. Same for Nellie, who is the nurse for doctor Kapoor. She listens and is respectful. Doctor Kapoor is the surgeon. A bit standoffish, but excellent at what she does. Doctor Sharf is the oncologist. A wonderful young woman who is very smart, caring, has amazing empathy, and knows her stuff. Cons: You will not reach the office when you call. It will be a centralized center, who will then take a message, or determine whether your call should be put through. I do not like that at all. Parking is a huge problem. It's street metered, on busy Ventura Boulevard, or take out a loan to park in the building.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude to Dr. Cohen…read more A different surgeon had stated I urgently needed surgery, warned that exercise was dangerous for my condition, and stated he would clear his schedule to operate as soon as possible. I felt uneasy about this assessment, and had read online that this doctor has performed "unnecessary surgeries". At the suggestion of my internist, I saw Dr. Cohen for a second opinion. I'm so glad I did. Dr. Cohen took the time to thoroughly review my situation and said that I do NOT need surgery right now. He assured me it's safe to exercise, and that if anything changes, surgery can still be considered--but I may not need it at all! Dr. Cohen explained everything clearly, and I trust him. Thank you, Dr. Cohen!

The check-in process was smooth, efficient, and welcoming. Meeting Dr. Jason Cohen was truly an absolute pleasure and an honor. He has exceptional bedside manner -- approachable, kind, confident, and reassuring. I immediately felt secure and safe in his hands. He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, yet remains humble and deeply caring, which is rare and so meaningful as a patient. Dr. Cohen went above and beyond by making it possible for me to see another specialist the very next day -- he truly moved mountains and brought me immense peace of mind. I am beyond grateful for his care and dedication. We are incredibly lucky to have Dr. Jason Cohen as a provider. Thank you for this amazing experience and for allowing me to be under such exceptional care.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my 3-year-old daughter received at Sherman Oaks Hospital…read more I brought her in because she was clearly not feeling well, and at her age she cannot fully explain what hurts, which makes proper evaluation even more important. During our visit, no doctor ever came in to speak with me--only a nurse. No testing was done at all. They simply checked her blood pressure and heart rate, assumed it was constipation based on my concern, and sent us home with a laxative. Two days later, I took her to her pediatrician, where they immediately did a simple throat swab and diagnosed her with Strep throat. This is something that could have and should have been caught during our hospital visit. It is incredibly frustrating and upsetting to feel like my child's symptoms were dismissed and not properly evaluated. When it comes to young children--especially those who cannot clearly communicate their symptoms--more thorough care and attention is critical. I would not recommend this hospital based on our experience.

I am sorry to say that I need to give Dr. Khagi one star and I'm only giving that because there is…read moreno option for 0 stars. I did a lot of research to find a hematologist for a second opinion and found Dr. Khagi. I had to wait 3 weeks to get in to see him. On the day of my appointment, his office called me while I was on my way... to cancel my appointment which made me extremely upset. I told the staff that I was still coming. I had given Dr. Khagi, medical records to review when I got there. Staff was very nice. When Dr. Khagi came into the room to meet me for the first time, he didn't want to get to know me or my history. He just started talking about the records I provided.. I was there to find out if his professional opinion was that I wouldn't get another DVT, PEs or both in the future and if I needed to go back on blood thinners as another doctor had wanted me to. He told me he didn't think I needed to be on blood thinners anymore and that was it. I did ask him a question and he made me feel stupid for even asking it. He disagreed with the previous doctor. He was with me for all of 10 minutes and that was it. I was extremely disappointed. After my visit the office sent me a survey about my visit and I was very honest and said just what I am saying here and the girl just wanted to make excuses for him and tried to get me to change my opinion. This made me even more upset. If you don't want people to be honest, don't send them a survey. When I went back and read Dr. Khagi's notes from my office visit, I noticed that he had written things that didn't occur in the office visit. He also said he was with me for 50 minutes which was absolutely not true. He was with me for 10.. 15 at the most. So, I wrote him and disagreed with him. I didn't expect any response but he did write me several times.. he actually spent more time responding to me in messages than he did in person. I thought he would run his own tests just to compare apples to apples with my other doctor but he said they weren't necessary but for a second opinion, I did expect he would want to be as completely thorough as possible given my dilemma. I won't be going back to Dr. Khagi. I've read all of these other nice reviews about Dr. Khagi like how he has a great bedside manner and how he took time with other patients but I just can't honestly say that given his attitude towards me in the office, the lack of time spent with me and in his responses to me in the portal.

A Clinician of Providential Skill, A Practice of Profound Contrast…read more My initial visit with Dr. Qasabian revealed a hematologist whose clinical insight and decisive approach represented a turning point in my care. After an exhaustive 21-month search through a sea of California's medical providers--a landscape often marked by dismissiveness and professional gaslighting--his precision in assessment and action inspired a hope I had nearly abandoned. During my first infusion, he contextualized my struggle with a narrative that was refreshingly separate from my own; it was the first time I felt understood by a medical professional rather than interrogated. As a patient with challenging venous access, I acknowledge the complexity this introduces. I extend my professional empathy to the clinical staff tasked with this endeavor. I have observed a cohesive and familiar dynamic among the long-term patients and staff, a rhythm built over the years. This established culture is a defining feature of the practice. Ultimately, my continued patronage is a testament to the singular value of Dr. Qasabian's medical expertise. In the calculus of my health, his rare acumen outweighs all other environmental variables.
