I hadn't see Dr Chin in nearly 25 years but after a recent move back to California, I was relieved to see that he was still practicing in Irvine, CA and continuing to help people, like me, with their feet. I recently woke up and found my right foot completely unable to take my weight and began to worry about Gout or otherwise. Within seconds of looking at my foot, Dr Chin put my mind at ease and simply said "not Gout"... Phew!!! After a thorough examination it was determined to be a tendon pull that could be remedied with rest, ice & OTC pain relievers. While he took ample time to go over different ways to address my situation, including X-rays and/or MRI, he suggested the most conservative route (least expensive too!) and sent me on my way. I'm not sure but I think the ladies at the front desk might be family because their kindness and good-natured attitude is indicative that they might be blood relatives! Just lovely. I recently went on Medicare and had to find a new podiatrist, and chose Dr. Chin. I had an excellent visit with him, as he took time to really explain the various issues that could be causing foot pain, and also asked questions my prior podiatrist did not. He also made suggestions for treatment that my prior had not. He has an excellent manner, and his staff (Jasmine) is very friendly and attentive. Also, he was able to take foot x-rays on-site, and blood work can be done downstairs from him. read more

My daughter had an ingrown toe nail and I called Dr. Chin after doing some online research for podiatrists. She was in pain and I was given a same day appt. He treated my daughter with patience and great care. She had her toe taken care of and he personally called to check in on her. He is so wonderful and I am so glad we found him. read more

Dr. Chin is a gem! I saw him as a first time patient and the great reviews on Yelp were indeed true. Super caring and attentive - his bedside manner was amazing. He took the time to patiently listen and learn about medical issues other than just foot pain to figure out how other conditions may be affecting the foot. He even had his office personnel follow up on an insurance question and I received a friendly, professional email. His advice for ways to mitigate the pain have been helping tremendously and I am so grateful. I started with Dr Chin when I had issues with my nails growing and broken toe due to my chemo. He is the best he got me back on track. Now I see him 3-4 times a year for general check. Also - I have sent all my family to him My husband had a very bad fungal infection in his toes and that was taken care of and he has normal nails again! My Dad is Diabetic so he needs to general check of his feet and nails. My Mom needs a check of her feet. Overall he is one of the best doctors around. Dr. Chin is a rare breed of an excellent physician. I made the appointment to see him after trying to get some help with my plantar fasciitis. He came recommended by a friend after my first podiatrist wanted to try surgery on me for plantar fasciitis. I didn't mention to Dr Chin that I wanted his opinion to make sure I needed surgery, but he gave me a second opinion that helped me avoid an unnecessary surgery. He spent a good thirty minutes or more checking my foot out and making sure we took a conservative approach to getting me well. He took the time to explain what was going on with my foot and his experience has proven to be invaluable. I am nearly back to 100% after taking his advice on therapy and basic meds. He saved me a lot of pain and expense because he took the time to listen and has the experience and know how to treat his patients. read more

Dr. Chin is by far my favorite doctor EVER! He has always been so helpful. I have gone into his office multiple times for ingrowns. He truly cares about his patients and wants to get to know them. There is no better podiatrist than Dr.Chin. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything foot related and takes the time to really explain what is going on so that you can easily understand it. I have been multiple times for different reasons and we always have a great conversations and he is a very friendly and funny person. This place is a big waste of time, do some research and you will easily find better doctors, I called a few months ago and made an appointment to see doctor Chin and sure that they are part of my network. When I showed up they kept me waiting for 45 mins even though I had an appointment. I asked the receptionist multiple times during the phone and upon arrival if I was going to be charged anything based on my insurance and she said no. Upon seeing dr Chen I informed him that I have flat feet and that I was there to see what my options are which he suggested $400+ shoes. I saw dr Chen for about 5 mins and he didn't do anything rather than talk about the shoes and getting a template, a month later I get a bill for $150 and when I call them they're telling me that that's what I owe and there is nothing they can do about it. This place is a joke and I wouldn't even give them one star but unfortunately yelp doesn't have anything lower than a star read more
