My husband and I have continued with the Levines ever since. What keeps me coming here even though I now live 100 miles away is the fact that Dr. Levine is what I want in a dentist. He is precise in his work and is technically outstanding. He makes you feel comfortable, it's easy to ask questions, and he communicates well so that I can understand. He is respectful and has extensive training and knowledge. He continues to improve the practice by staying current on all dentistry practices. He now makes his own crowns in the office so no need for a temporary. He is able to make adjustments to this crown in-house if necessary to prevent an additional trip into the office. Dr. Levine showed me how the crown is customized and it is pretty amazing! And most importantly, Dr. Levine is gentle and will warn you in advance if you will be feeling anything. The hygienist I see is Darlene and she is accommodating and works hard to keep your pearly whites in excellent condition. I have gone through a few other hygienists here but she has worked out the best for me. She is warm, friendly and I always feel like my teeth are incredibly clean as I leave the office. I love getting my teeth cleaned by Darlene as I feel like I'm getting a reset and clean slate for the next six months. The front desk is responsive and kind too. Everyone here helps to ensure you receive compassionate care and you feel welcomed and at ease. I had some dental work done during this last appointment where I was given a heads up that I needed to be in the office for two hours. During this time I could hear the office staff speak in warm and friendly tones to each other so the atmosphere is calm and professional at all times. You can tell they respect each other and enjoy working together. The practice has also gone through some beautiful transformations since the Levines took over. The interior is aesthetically pleasing with beautiful artwork, furniture, and modern equipment. I recommend Dr. Levine wholeheartedly.

However, I was unexpectedly charged over $150 out of pocket. What was especially frustrating is that the clinic performed additional services, including panoramic scans, without informing me that these were not covered under my insurance or disclosing the costs upfront. I only found out about the charges after the visit. Like many others, I trusted the positive reviews on Yelp, especially since I had just moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the expectations. Transparency about costs and insurance coverage is the bare minimum I expect from a dental provider. I would advise others to be very clear about what is covered before agreeing to any procedures here.

I have an extremely low pain tolerance and, with my previous dentist, it was always necessary to numb all of my teeth (with injections of nova cane). WARNING! If zero stars was an option that would have been my score. I rarely will take the time to…read morewrite a review good or bad, but this is one of those occasions that I have to take the time to do it because I do not want anyone else going through the pain, suffering and monetary loss I just experienced. In December 2024, I had two routine fillings on tooth #3 and #4 both advised by Dr. Xiao's office. when a filling is done you are not supposed to have discomfort or pain after a couple of days. I was having tooth sensitivity to cold and hot drinks 2 weeks after the fillings were done and actual pain to the touch getting worse by the day. I made calls to complain, thinking this was not normal (by the way no one ever picks the phone at the office you have to leave messages that not always get returned.) Dr Xiao finally saw me 3 weeks after the original fillings were done and tells me everything looks good, that all she is going to do is apply fluoride on the tooth for the pain??? At the time I didn't know this but this should have been a red flag. Based on some research I have done Increased sensitivity and increased pain on a filling after three weeks should have at least raised some flags on Dr Xiao's radar that an infection is probable and as a precaution she could have giving me a referral for a root canal then, no this did not happen. I went home and with the passing of time things continue to get worse. A week later I called her office again for three days in a row complaining of the pain, I had to leave messages because as usual no one answer the phone. Finally after the 3rd call I get a response from her assistance, giving me an appointment for January 24th to RE-DO THE FILLINGS, this is crazy at this point based on her basic knowledge as a dentist, she should have been referring me to a root canal specialist. But she didn't do that until I showed up for the appointment of the 24th of January. At this point I was in excruciating pain, I was asking her why did she waited for so long to make the decision of referring me to an specialist when she should have arrived to that conclusion at least 2 weeks ago and spared me the pain and suffering? At this point she change her usual pleasant attitude and turned defensive, no show of empathy for what I was going through which was mainly caused by her inability to read the situation correctly. At this point she basically throw me out of her office and told me to find another dentist and walked out of the room. Later she claimed she felt threatened by me for asking questions, that was her excuse for her lack of empathy. None of her referrals were able to see me the same day and I was in a lot of pain at this point. I asked her assistance to ask Dr Xiao for some kind of stronger prescription meds for the pain since her referral will not be able to see me for another four days, She refused to prescribe anything strong and told her assistance that I should get something over the counter like Advil or Motrin. I left, when I got home the pain was so intense that I just start calling endodontic offices in the Tri-valley to see if any of those would see me the same day, after several calls Dublin Endodontics had a cancellation that day and I took that appointment, that was my salvation, they took care of both root canals on the same day and found infections on both tooth, I fully recommend them they were amazing. Finally, after a few days I wrote a four page letter complaint to Dr Xiao's office asking them to take some responsibility for the lack of response and yes negligence for failing to react a lot sooner based on the many calls complaining of pain that should not be present for three weeks after a routine filling. I was asking for Xiao dental to cover my expenses of close to $6000 already caused by them in my view. Dr Xiao refused to admit she did anything wrong, she sent me a check for $236 my co-pay amount of the fillings, which is nothing compared to what this experience is costing me already monetarily without taking into consideration the weeks of pain and suffering.

Dr. H told me I needed a couple sessions of deep cleaning after my first visit. My husband, who is generally very skeptical of doctors, was worried I was being taken advantage of. Naturally, he booked his own appointment and got his teeth cleaned with LPFD. Three years later, he and I are loyalist that can't imagine going anywhere else for dental care! We're both in love with the care this team provides. Outside of their upkeep with technology, the staff and dentists are very patient, transparent, and listen to your needs. They take time to make their patiences feel heard and comfortable. Since coming here and following their care, my gum health and recession has improved! Something I didn't think was possible. They've squeezed me in their schedules for emergency tooth aches, worked around my chaotic commute, and have even taken time call me for post-procedure check ups.
