I've been going to Dr. Joseph for years. He's the best in the business. Dr. Joseph takes the time to explain every option, and the dental work needed. Thank you for treating your patients so well. I highly recommend Dr. Joseph and look forward to doing business with the dental practice again. read more

First off Dr Joseph is as honest, down to business of a dentist as you can find. No BS. And he does good work. Secondly, the hygienists are the best I've ever had. I used to have such pain during cleaning but here they are so precise with the tools, it's pain-free basically. Great honest dental office after the disastrous dentists Ive had in the past. I'm subtracting a star though for the front desk being painfully slow! And it kinda sucks that you have to pay for parking every time. And the office isn't the most modern. X-Rays are done the oldschool way. Still, if you need an HONEST dentist that does great work, don't look further read more

I have been seeing Dr. Joseph for ten years now and decided it is time for me to keep up with the times and give credit where credit is due. I am in my 60s and he is the best dentist I have ever had. He is highly skilled, clearly explains what's going on with my teeth, makes suggestions ( politely gives advise) on actions to keep my teeth as healthy as possible and listens to what I have to say! His staff is also excellent. Latrice, the office manager, is down to earth, kind and helpful. My hygenist, Johanna, is awesome. I am sure the other hygenists are equally skilled, otherwise Dr. Joseph would not employ them! He is a true professional. read more

Latrece is very rude and unprofessional. How she is allowed to talk to patients the way she does is beyond comprehension. I've had issues with trying to get my X-rays sent to other dentists to have work done plus issues with billing. When she's asked if she's contacted my insurance the answer is "No.". When asked why she didn't send the full set of X-rays for a consultation I had, she was silence. I won't be returning back to see Dr. Joseph or his dental hygienist and it's mainly because of Latrece. read more

I have been going to this dentist for 20+ years, but won't be going back due to their front desk incompetency. On two of my last four visits I was overcharged based on incorrect calculations of coverage. It has taken months of calls, emails and self advocacy to finally get them to issue a refund. After decades of business and referrals, this is unacceptable and I'll be going elsewhere for my dental needs in the future. read more

the best dentist in town. Honest with his clients and great service. The office people are friendl.

Dr Joseph took care of my cavity with no pain, no discomfort and explained to the process along the way. His staff is extremely friendly and I would highly recommend Dr. Joseph for any type of dental procedure you or a family member may need. Happy to return as needed. Thank you Dr Joseph and staff for making my visit very comfortable. read more

Me and my husband have been patients for years of Dr. Joseph and we only have great words for him and his team. They are all very friendly and caring. Thank you so much for the care! read more

I couldn't praise Dr. Joseph and his staff enough. I've been a patient for over 20 years now and I know this might sound strange but because it's Dr.Joseph's dental office, I actually look forward to my bi-annual check-ups. Regardless of it being your standard cleaning or a procedure, Dr. Joseph and his staff take great care of their clients and thoroughly explains what's to be performed in a cordial fashion (which is IMHO, what diminishes any hesitations or reluctancies -if anyone might have reservations on going to a dentist for whatever reason). Everything is delivered in utmost professionalism in a positive, well-assured demeanor. Thank you always for taking good care of me and my teeth! read more

This was my first visit and Dr Joseph is incredibly thorough and meticulous the way your dentist should be! He spent lots of time getting to know me and my mouth. And VERY friendly office. I have had way too many dentists who rush through the visit, try to upsell you or they are on the golf course at the time of your appointment. Or worse you only see the Hygenist for the first 3 or 4 visits. You will never experience that here. read more

My four star criteria for a dentist is pretty simple. Do a good job in a short time and inflict as little pain as possible. Doctor joseph and his staff have been accomplishing that for me for the past 11 years now. Of course, I have had my fair share of work done over this time, so lucky for you( and maybe unlucky for me depending on how you look at it) I feel like I have a broad enough experience to recommend Dr. Joseph to others. They are the mouth mechanics that people like me need because we refuse to take there a good advice and stay away from food and drinks that are bad for us. We have a good relationship that way though. I'm great at creating the problems and they are amazing at fixing them. The fifth star really comes down to customer service. Latrece and the ladies at the front desk are always nice even when I have to reschedule a cleaning at late notice which I know causes them problems. My hygienist Johanna, who I see more than Dr. Joseph fortunately (no offense, you do a great job, but I still like to avoid the heavy artillery as much as possible), is also very nice and does a great job quickly and as painless as possible. Also, for those of you who use this as a gauge, I should mention that they used to be located in a much smaller office in the same building but have sense upgraded to a larger suite upstairs with state of the art technology. The offices are very nice, although I am still waiting for a flat screen mounted on the ceiling to keep me entertained, haha. Hot tip on the parking. There is a parking structure in the bottom of the building but there is a fee and it is tandem, so you have to leave your keys with the attendant in case they need to move it. I am not a big fan of that although I get it that there isn't anything that they can do about it. So what I do is park about 2 blocks over on Buena Vista where you can always find street parking that is good for 2 hours and it's free. I have never had a problem parking there and walking over for my appointments over the years. So hopefully your teeth are perfect and you don't need to see a dentist, but if you do, I recommend Dr. Joseph! read more

Edward Joseph, DDS - General Dentistry Near Me - Burbank, California

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Joseph and his staff. A colleague at Disney referred me ten years ago when I worked at the studio. I left Disney some years ago but have not changed my dentist even though I have many closer options. Dr. Joseph really cares and always spends time to give me his point of view and why it's important to to manage my dental health. He is also very open to talk about the cost of services and how they fit into my financial picture. He will tell me when a service is important to my health and when it's not. A few years ago, I had a chipped tooth that he said he could fix with a veneer. I said I would think about it and he never pressed me about it again. A year later when I did get the work done, I was so happy with the way it turned out. Letrece at the front desk will always make sure to get the most out of your insurance and give advice about deductibles and coverage. Johanna and Cecilia the world's best hygienists. Always super professional and cheerful. read more

I actually look forward to my Dentist appointment now, great people.

Beautiful office, great doctor and staff. I would recommend my family and friends to go to this dentist and with the hygienist.

I've had way too many bad experiences here... The first was when I had my Invisalign treatment. He sliced my top pallet with some type of tooth saw and as an apology gave me free tooth whitening instead of discounting the procedure. The receptionist seems nice if you're on her good side, but the minute you need something done for you it all turns to hell. They seem money hungry and will bill your insurance up front even if they have not completed the procedure yet and if you ask for them to only bill what they completed that day they'll say, 'Sorry, we can't do that'. I might file a complaint to the Dental Board for that one. I also had a filling done quite a few years ago and it had been loose for a couple of years (I am guessing) as it had begun to collect plaque and rot underneath. I went in to get it checked out a little while ago and while I was in the chair he decided to and begun the root canal. He told me he took out the entire nerve, but to my surprise had horrible pain that weekend. I had to take 3-4 ibuprofen every few hours to keep it manageable. Too make It even worse. He didn't prescribe me any antibiotics or pain medicine and I had to go to the Hospital. Never going to this dentist again. Switching to a specialist for the RC and another dentist for the remainder of the procedure. Update- I went to the specialist and he said, 'little to no prep had been done' (and the pulp inside had been inflamed). read more

Everyone was very welcoming and nice. I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time so I needed the works. X-rays have always been problematic for me but the tech was very informative about what she was going to do and also considerate about any discomfort I had. Dr. Joseph was very thorough with the introduction exam. Once it was over he gave me many treatment options taking my financial situation into consideration. I was very pleased with the experience and service. read more

still the best dentist ever and the entire office team is helpful, kind, professional and caring.

I seriously had an aversion to dentists for a long time. I had the best dentist while growing up (virtually pain free, would let us watch movies in these cool video goggles) and then when I moved away, I just never quite clicked with anyone since then. Well, I moved back to Burbank a little while ago and it was getting pretty bad. I knew it had been too long. I was really dreading this but I had no choice. I spent time scouring the internet looking for someone and found this office. To be honest the fact that they had a decent and informative website with pictures helped a TON. Not to mention his reviews were decent. But you still never quite know until you show up. I know I can't expect Disneyland, but comfort is important to me. I don't want to be made fun of or feel even worse when I finally go see a dentist. Not only that, I really didn't want to walk into a scene from SAW III. Let me tell you, this was like the answer to dentistphobia. I love the office- it's really nice (like Burke Williams style) and there was even a parking structure below. Yay. Latrece is hilarious and very helpful. She really allowed me to take down my guard and relax. The dental hygienists are very friendly and nice and take good care of you. I even got a letter in the mail from one of the hygienists saying she was sorry because she didn't get to say goodbye fully when I was signing out- and thought she might have forgotten something minor. She didn't forget anything but the fact she even took the time to send that was really nice. I also got movie tickets for referring someone almost instantly...like a day after I referred her. Edward was professional and kind- he gave me a stern but nice explanation that I should put my teeth first- and I agree. I've been in that office a lot lately, but I don't fear it at all and I like to go now. Thank God. My teef are happy again. read more

Simply the Best! I have been seeing Dr. Joseph for more than 10 years. I even commuted from Albuquerque, NM when I lived there for a while. I have bad teeth that look terrific and I still have all of them thanks to him. He is the ultimate professional who keeps up on all the latest dental technology as well as preventive dentistry. He is a perfectionist which is what you want in a good dentist. I consider him as well as his staff one of the many blessings in my life. read more

Dr. Joseph is the best dentist I've ever had! Absolutely the best. His office is filled with state of the art equipment, a very knowledgeable staff, very clean environment, and he really takes the time to work with you on a plan to improve the quality of your teeth. I had a crown put in a couple of years ago and with Dr. Joseph's investment in technology, he was able to make my crown in the office that same day! I only had to wait 45 minutes. I don't mind visiting the dentist but would rather not make several trips and have to deal with a temporary filling. This was truly a big sell for me. Dr. Joseph also provides quality customer service. His staff sends out an email reminder a week prior to your appointment and personally calls the day before to confirm. I have a very busy schedule and really appreciate the follow up. I've recommend Dr. Joseph to several of my friends/colleagues and they are all returning customers with positive reviews. My hygienist is the best and although we only see each a few times a year, it feels like we've been long time friends. The friendly environment makes it a pleasure to get my teeth cleaned. read more

I posted my first review on 6/11. Today is 6/19 and after many many calls and emails requesting my xrays be send to Art of Smiles, they still have not send them. I get your feelings are hurt cause I got a second opinion and I liked Art of Smiles a lot better. I totally get that Bro, but come on can you be a little more professional? it's xrays something importar a doctor needs to be able to help me. Why be a baby about this? If you are so upset about me rejecting you, let's talk about it over coffee or tea one day but don't get in the way of my other doctor taking care of me. I contacted you over this, you couldn't even email me back to say F**K YOU. You just ignored me and doctors request. You wrote a review for Edward Joseph, DDS One week ago 1.0 star rating 6/11/2018 I saw Joseph Edwards 6/1 for a general check up and I had to talk about a possible crown. After the check up the front desk woman shows me the Proposed treatment plan giving me a quote of $900 for all i need for the grown. After i check with my insurance and call her back, she claims Oppps my bad let me do it over. She emails me another treatment plan with a million handwritten numbers and smiley faces that made absolutely no sense. Now the crown work is about $550. After I asked for about it she sends me an email even more confusing than the first one. At this point I'm sitting with my HR person at work trying to figure WFT this woman is saying. I decided another my be a better solution. I make an appointment on Monday for Friday. When i get to the new office I'm told Dr. J's office never send my Xrays. While I was at the office they called Dr. J's office 2x and still no X-rays. new Dr. does his best to give me a proper check up . We talk about the crown and 2 small cavities. I get my new Proposed treatment plan. Same thing as Dr. J for the crown + 2 small cavities. Now Keep in mind same insurance, same billing codes one week apport. out of pocket after ins. pays I get to pay about $450.00 for a full crown and 2 cavities with New dentist ( Art of Smiles in Pasadena) So for about $100. less I get a lot more. Dr. Joseph and his team are so thorough. They've worked on my teeth restoring them from zero to hero due to previous horrendous service with a different dental office. Dr. Joseph is the best! I've been coming since 2001. I have my husband, mother and son come to him too. He takes the time to explain every procedure and discuss honestly what the options and costs are. The staff is friendly and helpful. Letrice, the office manager is always ready to assist with handling tough insurance problems. He has state of the art equipment and keeps up on all the latest technology. I know I am in good hands. I have had crowns, fillings, root canals with him. I go and have my teeth cleans 3 x a year with them. You cannot find a better staff and dentist. I went to Dr. Joseph for years with never a problem, then at one cleaning visit he informed me that I had cracked fillings, top and bottom, on both sides of my mouth due to teeth grinding. During the appointment to fill the cracks on one side of my mouth, he was very rough, and became frustrated due to an involuntary movement in my tongue that apparently was getting in his way. The entire process was a painful ordeal, and my jaw ached for several days afterward. Not wanting to go through this experience again, I decided to try another dentist who, after examining my teeth, told me they were just hairline fractures in the surface of the filling. He said it was something he typically would keep an eye on rather than fill right away, as he said doing so might cause the tooth to crack. That was 3 years ago. I never had the other 2 supposedly cracked fillings touched, and I haven't had a single problem. I was sorry to leave Dr. Joseph's office, as my hygienist there, Johanna, was the absolute best, and I really miss her. read more

I have meant to write a review for the past couple of months. I have seen Dr. Joseph for the past 3-4 years or so and was recently so offended that I decided to stop treatment with him immediately. I saw Dr. Joseph for a regular check-up where he advised that I would need some preventative treatments - fillings on minor cavities and a mouth guard for TMJ. Admittedly my bad, due to work I repeatedly rescheduled my follow up appointments and didn't come back for the treatment right away. One thing led to another and I didn't come back until about a year and a half later when I scheduled another teeth cleaning and asked them to take care of any of the outstanding treatments I required. I also let them know that I had been getting headaches and was hearing my jaw click as I chewed, and would like them to check it out (I had forgotten about the mouth guard discussion I had with Dr. Joseph at the previous cleaning). When Dr. Joseph came into my room, without saying hello or any other pleasantry, he came in and abruptly asked "what is the problem?" I looked at him quizzically and he followed up with , "Is it a money issue or what?" After still looking at him blankly, he finally cleated up that he was questioning why i hadn't finished the work he had prescribed. I was appalled that he would start off so rude and suggest that I couldn't afford treatment. It was his tone and expression that was most jarring. It was literally disdain. I do not have poor teeth and hygiene - there was absolutely no reason to treat me with such disgust. Additionally, my hygienist must have been relatively new, but he spoke to her with such an attitude that it made me uncomfortable. He literally shoved her hand away when she gave him the wrong tool. The whole experience was absolutely miserable. I know many of my colleagues go to Dr. Joseph - his office is very conveniently located to my workplace, but I absolutely will not recommend his office in the future. read more

I got Invisalign from Dr.Joseph and he never hurt me once, especially when he has to use those teeth saws (sorry, but it's sometimes necessary). I wasn't satisfied with the first pass, and he was so accommodating with the 2nd pass. He said he wanted me to be happy and would do whatever it took to make me feel satisfied. Two years ago I had a really poor experience with a "Fancy" Beverly Hills dentist who did unnecessary work and overcharged my on top of it. I polled my friends to find a new dentist, and found Dr Joseph. I have to say he is top notch, cheaper than the Beverly Hills guy and far more thorough in his explanations and execution. State of the art technology and spectacular staff, especially Cecelia and Latrece. BOOM! I'm hooked. I had some reservations about a procedure, he noted them, reexplained what he was going to do and assured me that I didn't have to do it, but it was in my best interest. This was the worst dentist that I've ever had. I believe he did many procedures that I did not need just to make money on me. He set up a care plan which outlined procedures that would cost about 8K total. His staff was very nice but that did not make up for the fact that I felt he cheated me. He was also cheating the IRS by offering a 10% discount for cash payments. And wouldn't accept even a check from me to get the discount. The office is attractive but this dentist is corrupt.
