I was only with them a very short time and never signed anything to allow them to do anything with my money. I sensed they were not personal and unprofessional (redflags) and decided to move my money. I went to a Fee-Only Fiduciary Advisor who said the best thing was to roll what I could into my government sponsored TSP. I then asked to roll my portfolio into my Thrift Savings Plan and the Edward Jones advisor (who is not a CFP) David Basenhofer became uncooperative and rude. The office said I had to call the main office and the main office said it had to be handled by the local office. Everyone at both locations acted confused, unprofessional and rude. They yelled at the TSP agent who was on the conference call. The TSP agent told me privately on one of our long holds that she just cringed when she learned we would be calling Edward Jones. She said they are always rude, unprofessional and act confused keeping you on hold for long periods of time and transferring around back and forth to main and local offices. She said she has had a lot of experiences with them and that is just their way. She said it is only Edward Jones she has that experience with. Josh at the main office asked if I agreed to have a check made out to cash for a lesser amount than my statement showed. If I wasn't checking my statement at the time of his question I would have paid a lot of fees. I went back and forth with him until finally he explained what I could do to avoid the fees. Again they were definitely not looking out for my best interest. I have since done a lot of research on Edward Jones. Lots of fees.

When my account became eligible for transfer in June 2025, I submitted all required documents on June 6 and followed up again later in the month. In July, well past the transfer window, my funds still had not been moved. When I called for answers, Debbie responded sarcastically, told me I must've "missed" their outreach just like she "missed" my transfer request, and then literally started yelling over me. Beyond the rudeness, the delay in moving my money raises serious concerns about how they're managing client assets. If you're looking for professionalism, accountability, or even basic courtesy, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
