Title Company held onto the payment for 3 weeks due to buyer delay and it triggered a 30-day late payment on my credit. Dean at Branson Bank basically shrugged his shoulders and said there's nothing he can do, the payment was late. I have a friend who works at another bank and confirmed that there was something they could have done but it's a pain and it's easier just to ignore the dispute and let the credit companies clear it off. **UPDATE** My credit score was corrected. Changed my review stars from 1 to 3. Somehow our multiple conversations did not convey that the delay in payment was due to the buyer and was out of our control, but luckily it was clarified by my review/post and they realized a correction could be made to my credit.

Staying in the Branson area for an extended time, so I was looking for a local bank to open a…read morechecking account with. I like to check out a bank prior to opening an account, so I went in to the teller counter, and asked to get a roll of quarters for a ten dollar bill. There were no other customers at the counter at this time. The teller looked at me and said, "Do you have an account here?" I replied, "No I don't have one, I'm from out of town." He said he could not give me a roll of quarters since I "did not have an account at his bank." Wow!! Never had that before! I went across 248 to the Branson Bank and asked the same question. They were friendly, quickly gave me a roll of quarters, and told me to get a cookie and coffee before leaving! Guess we know which bank I will be banking with!!! Moral of the story: You only get one chance to make a first impression.

We liked the people and have stayed, not because of the company running it, but we are loyal, unless mistreated. we have 2 local businesses with accounts and numerous personal accounts here. When I went in today to deposit 3 checks into our personal account, I was told that the canadian one (a check from my husband's grandfather recently passing) wasn't worth it and wouldn't be deposited. I said, 'excuse me? This is an authentic check, what do you mean its not worth it?" I then called my husband who went directly into the bank about 10 min. later to talk to the manager. she told him, (as she scoffed) " i don't know what the fee amount is, either $50 or $75, do you know the currency rate?" (THIS IS THE MANAGER OF THE BANK!?!) to which he replied, you told my wife it wasn't worth it and wouldn't deposit it. She then asked "well how much is it?" He said "$1500" she laughed "well there will be plenty after the fees" This is the lady who wouldn't even consider depositing the check earlier, and now has no idea fee amounts or currency rates! She was so LAZY she didn't offer to look up these services. I know this is how banks make money, so i knew there would be a fee, but to be scoffed at and treated as if they didn't need my business, even refusing to come up with a solution the first drive thru encounter, we will be pulling all accounts and NEVER recommending this bank to anyone ever again!!! The manager Sam does not try to fix this issue at all. My company banks with this bank and I make our deposits- the lady with the glasses and short blonde hair told me I was wasting her time when trying to decide what to do with our customers checks we were trying to deposit! The manager stood there and let her talk like that to me and did nothing! If you get this teller, double and triple check where your money goes!
