My closing was set for September 13, 2021. I called the office 3 weeks prior to closing to review the estimated costs of service. Every time, I called which was four times that Crystal is in a closing and would get back to me. She called me back in the evening on her way home within the second week and said she would help me get a mobile notary and send me the documents as I was across the country packing my entire family. I told her I would like to review the costs break down and fees. I never received a call back from Crystal at the Branson West office. I was packing and tried calling again and once again I was told she was in a closing. As we were getting closer to the closing date, I noticed they missed a $1600 credit owed to me by the seller. Barbara said they would fix that. They did. The Friday prior I received the docs to sign but no mobile notary. The movers were moving my stuff and I ran to the bank who said they will not notarize all these documents. They said, "I paid for that service to be provided with mobile notary." I agreed. I called the Springfield office to escalate. I was yelled at and told that I need to figure it out.
Once I landed in Missouri I called the Springfield branch to complain to Trena and later Brian. They both said they would call me back and investigate. I have yet to receive an update.
Meanwhile I had to call my lender and Flat Branch to reach out to the Branson West office to send me a copy of my closing documents.
All in all the title company did not provide the services they said they would and I was scrabbling to get the closing documents signed on my moving day. I called my title company locally to help me. They did the job that Great American Title should have done. The stress of organizing all of this and dealing with the movers was out right unprofessional. To be yelled at and told to figure it out was awful. I don't wish this type of service on anyone. I would like my refund read more
