So I had THE BEST taco I've ever put in my mouth here right. Seared scallops were, what I thought, the star. But they were only the opening act for a literal Woodstock Festival of flavors. My husband thought I was reenacting the faked orgasm scene from When Harry Met Sally. Meanwhile he had the hugest savory beef burrito which he called "effing fantastic." I may not be from California and I'm pretty glad I'm not, but that doesn't mean I don't know a good authentic taco or burrito. In South Jersey we have Las Lomas and in Philly we have barbacoa, both excellent authentic Mexican. Eduardos is a surprising find on Ocracoke and they are pushing out fresh Mexican tacos and burritos. The marinated tuna burrito was excellent. The salsa fresh and cups crispy and fresh. The pork burrito was also awesome. The pastor tacos was delicious. The only downside was the limited outdoor seating and the flies. read more

Very possibly the best fish tacos ever, top 5 for sure! It is basically a food truck, so don't go expecting a dining experience but a great fish taco on a picnic table. They also have an awesome pineapple soda that I would have never tried... thankfully my wife can't finish a drink. Stay away from the chicken, my son isn't a sea food fan, so he got chicken tacos and they were super dry but they gladly traded it in for a cheese quesadilla. I'll definitely hit it again if I'm ever back down this way. read more

The food was ok, nothing fabulous especially for the price. The staff was rude and I really dislike the no substitutions to menu items even if you offer to pay extra. In my opinion if you're paying $10 for 3 tacos you should be able to request flour tortillas instead of corn, it's not a difficult request to accommodate. You can only get flour tortillas for gringo tacos which is only ground beef (would adding chicken for an extra couple bucks really be that difficult?) It's also all outdoor dining since this is basically a food truck, so if you're ready to relax in the AC for dinner after a long day in the sun this wouldn't be the place. read more

We love Eduardo's! Eduardo is an absolute gem and his fresh, innovative menu is fantastic! Whether we're there for breakfast (try the Divorced Eggs) or lunch/dinner (the Tropical Taco is my idea of heaven), we are always finding new things to try. Over our last three trips to the island, we've likely eaten here fifteen to twenty times. We've never been even remotely disappointed. Eduardo's has plenty of vegetarian options, none of which are boring (did I mention that Tropical Taco?). He's even been so awesome as to make me something special off menu before. The lines do get long here, but that's to be expected from a popular food truck with a tiny kitchen. Only so much food can be prepared at once! The last place I would have thought I'd find the best Burrito I'd ever tasted would be on a small island in the Outer Banks of North Carolina that you have to take a ferry to get to, but here we are. We took the ferry today to Ocracoke and drove by Eduardos - seeing a colorful food truck with lots of shaded picnic tables in front. I ordered the Carne Burrito, which was quite large and absolutely delicious - a basic food, but done so well. My wife ordered the carne tacos (good, but not exceptional) and the guacemole, which she loved and could not help but finish even though she wanted to save some for later. Truly excellent food, very flavorful, and the outdoor seating area had a nice atmosphere and charm. Recommended highly, would absolutely come back. read more

First and only place we ate at while on the island. This place is fantastic. Best Mexican food I've ever had. All of the food is fresh, gourmet, delicious. We had the swordfish tacos, the nachotopos, chileqiles, bean tacos, scallop breakfast burrito, shrimp breakfast burrito, and raspberry mango fish taco. We ate here for our first meal and for every other meal while we were in ocracoke. Outstanding. You can't find better Mexican food, or any other food for for your money on the island. Why didn't anyone tell me that one of the best tacos ill ever have in my life is on a tiny island only accessible by boat ferry located at the end of the outerbanks?!?! This place was a big surprise. Coming from the DMV/DC area, I've had my fair share of authentic Mexican tacos but man oh man THIS PLACE blows most of all those other places out of the water. The carne asada was perfectly seasoned with and cooked to perfection. My bf's shrimp tacos were delicious. All the other fixins complimented each other and enhanced the explosion of flavor. Let me start off by saying the food here is great, that's why we choose them as our wedding vendor. The day before the wedding they contacted us saying they never ordered our food and cannot cater our wedding. Ocracoke is a small island and with 24 hour notice, we were unable to find another caterer and had to cook ALL of our own food. Karen is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Worst customer service we've ever experienced. She showed no remorse, was not apologetic. When we contacted Eduardo directly to see if there is anything we can do like ordering trays of food or something, she had the AUDACITY to contact us saying she lost respect for us and to never contact them again. She acted like we were the inconvenience. We eat at Eduardo's every time we come down, and they just lost two loyal customers. They should have given us more of a notice since they NEVER ordered the food. We booked them months in advance. It was absolutely disheartening and the way Karen treated us was SICKENING. Eduardo, if you want to run a more successful business you should let Karen go or put her though a years worth of customer service training. So disappointing. read more

We ate there as a family after a long morning at the hotel pool. Couple tired kids and our 4yo daughter lost her mind in a fit of sadness that her taco was hot, not cold. We were sitting at a table close to the entrance of the kitchen. As parents, we were taking a stand, she needed to eat the hot taco. She'd survive. Welp, one of the chef's heard her cries and without us asking or any prompting, he sent out a new cold, cheese taco. Upon receipt she instantly stopped crying and started to enjoy her new cold taco. A man, who I'll assume was Eduardo stuck his head out the window and said "I like that smiling face better." We'll done you mysterious man of the taco truck! While she may have won the battle of the taco, Eduardo's won our heart with this absolutely sweet expression of kindness. Great Mexican food truck with fantastic food! Careful guys... this place is liable to get a visit from Guy Fieri when word gets out! My wife & I go to Ocracoke 2-3 x per yr and we sometimes eat at Eduardo's every day. Ok, maybe a stretch there but look... when you can grab a breakfast Hot Mess burrito for breakfast and hit the beach to fish or shell it sure does hit the spot. Same for a mid-morning or pm ferry ride back to the mainland -- take a burrito with and it'll hit the spot. Normally, I'm a Hot Mess breakfast burrito guy but I have had the chicken and fresh catch of the day (grilled usually) burrito and I've never been disappointed. The homemade guacamole gets a thumbs up too.
