Yesterday I had the oyster po' boy with coleslaw-perfectly fried oysters, fresh toppings, and a flavorful remoulade that brought it all together. Today I came back for the fish tacos with pineapple and slaw, and they're equally delicious-fresh, light, and full of flavor. The portions are generous, everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the menu pairs perfectly with the beer from 1718. The team was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has that laid-back island charm. If you're in Ocracoke --don't miss this place. We'll definitely be back!

Service was outstanding. The server had that classic beach-town ease (local or seasonal) but really knew the menu and did a great job. At one point, a woman who appeared to be management stopped by the table to check in. When she asked how things were, my answer was simple: "Incredible." The atmosphere is exactly right, relaxed but still polished, with just the right amount of energy without feeling crowded or chaotic. That balance is harder to get right than people think, and they've nailed it. I don't hand out compliments lightly, but this place delivers. Simple, fresh food, executed properly. No gimmicks, no shortcuts. This is absolutely a place you should try if you're in Ocracoke. I'll be back.

We ended up getting loaded fries instead, with chili, cheese, and bacon. Based off of the sign, it looked like they were going to be $3, but it was more pricey $8.50, because the fries are $3 plus an additional $2 for chili, $2 for bacon, $1.25 for cheese. They were good loaded fries, just way more than we had been expecting to pay. We're going to try going back tomorrow and hope we can finally try the Fried Fish Sandwich.

There was a great selection - shrimp, scallops, Spanish mackerel, tuna, tilefish, among other. She informed us that they were sold out of oysters for the day but had fresh ones coming in over night, available for purchase the next day. The market requires masks, which we appreciated.
