Gordie's Used Appliance

Gordie's Used Appliance

I've gotten numerous appliances through Gordie's over the years. I've never been disappointed. One…read moretime, the dryer I purchased from them wasn't working. They came out and it turned out the fuse switch was off! I felt a bit silly, but the repair person they sent out was very nice and said it wasn't the first time that this has occurred with customers. He didn't charge me anything. Recently our washing machine agitator was in need of repair. I knew which parts I needed and went to Gordies. The lady there was very helpful and got the parts I needed. They were only $3, all I had was my debit card. She said, next time I was by, just bring in cash, and handed me the items. That's unheard of these days! We almost had it figured out, but ran into a snag, and we went back with the agitator and there was a worker there that showed us how to do what we needed to do, and we paid the $3 we owed them. Gordies store isn't anything modern, it's an older building, but their prices are very reasonable and a fair selection of items to choose from (refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers.) Next time I need an appliance, they are first on our list as they've always been.

They came out the next business day after I called and fixed my dryer efficiently and for a reasonable price. I definitely plan to go to them again in the future for all my appliance needs and would highly recommend them to anyone needing something fixed as they are the only call you need to make. Thanks, Zach

As I had already taken the laundry from the machine I was perplexed as to where it had vanished to. I was so upset and figured I'd call someone first thing in the morning...I tried calling several repair services.. the first telling me it'd be a week and a half before he could schedule me ..the second telling me he no longer did in home repairs but he was kind enough to give me name and number of several other service people to try. The first on the list was Avery ... I called and explained the situation and the man said he could come out later the same day ...WOW !!! He came out after lunch and began the search ... piece by piece having to be removed to uncover a new layer of possible hiding places ...YES ... ultimately he was able to see it in a very inaccessible spot... he was persistent and was able to retrieve it ..I was SO happy .... THANK YOU !!! I will keep this number in my phone contacts and I will recommend Avery if anyone asks!

We were told by the phone salesman that a VPN was a necessity. He neglected to say it's really only needed if you use public wifi, which we don't. We went to our local Best Buy to see if they could help us with these problems and they told us that we don't need a VPN. We've removed the VPN from all of our devices and tried to return it nine days after the purchase date only to find out that the 30-day NordVPN 100% satisfaction guarantee doesn't apply if it's purchased at Best Buy. This is the same for almost all software that offers a money-back guarantee. Do yourself a favor and only purchase software directly from the manufacture. We might as well have flushed $70 down the toilet.

I was repeatedly told by Best Buy staff that they could not help me, to contact Insignia products. At least Insignia was easier to talk to but lacked appropriate communication with Best Buy staffers themselves. There were contradictions in what I was repeatedly being told without explanation or clarification. After an over 500$ purchase which included a warranty, I have wasted hours trying to get the information needed. Let me be clear... BEST BUY sucks. The organizations Best Buy pays to pick up the pieces after the traumatic experience of dealing with in-store inept personnel far exceed any of Best Buy efforts. My ac unit was bought outright in April and only was used weeks in May when it was first turned on. The manual is useless. Everything I found was posted online never clearly getting a picture of how to use my unit to increase its longevity. I have cashed in with my warranty and the new unit has now been installed-a fight I had to take on even though I had paid for the original installation. With no coaching as to the effective use of the product I have done everything I can. It is a loud unit, louder than the first. I found that information online. What is normal for the Insignia ac? I don't know but maybe I will trip over more info online. It sure wont be found at the store. What is the recommended maintenance? That info is coming in one small detail at a time, again online. And I paid what? 529$ and I cashed in on the replacement. I will run it until it runs no-more still doing the best I can with non-existent support I have. (No family either) If I get less than 4 years outs THIS unit I will be asking be reimbursement of the total price. BEST BUY should be called BIGGEST RIP-OFF!!!

All the water hoses were connected and not leaking so that meant it was underneath the refrigerator where I couldn't reach. Who to call? I started the search for a reputable repair shop and was glad to find such good reviews on Hugo's Appliance LLC. My call was immediately answered and the scheduler stated who she would assign my work to and they would call me as soon as they could as they were on another project. Short time later Eli from Hugo's called to hear me describe the problem and assure me he would be over to look at the appliance. I was so impressed with a number of things, how personable Eli was, how efficiently he diagnosed the problem, and his knowledge on older JennAir refrigerators ! The valve replacement had to be ordered and it might be delivered in time for a Friday repair but if not they would have me up and running on Saturday morning. Saturday morning Eli came prepared to finish the work and I am amazed at how organized, and efficiently it all went. Even better was there was NO mess to clean up afterward. Eli also did a few extra things like vacuuming the base of the refrigerator thoroughly so the motor didn't have to work so hard and he checked all of the water lines, inquired about the filter and last time it was changes etc. Just a thorough review of my appliance. Overall I am thrilled with the work done, the rates are reasonable and it is clear they genuinely care about their clients. I will be calling Hugo's Appliance LLC for all my future appliance needs and recommend you also keep them handy. Great team of people you can trust!

We tried to return it less than a week after purchased and were received with a hostile reply that there are absolutely no returns pr exchanges with no exceptions??? To make matters worst, they took their old kirby vacuum as a credit toward a new one but did not state the price difference!! They had now idea they charged them $1,900 for the trade in until they looked at their credit card statement the next day! I guess kirby has to scam old people to get sales. Hopefully that says enough about them to stay far away from them and their products.

I rate Kirby of Yakima at a Zero!!! Do not risk being…read moreripped off!!! Public Service Announcement.... From Lorie I never rant or rave but I do see this as a public service announcement! So if you are up for a little drama read on.... Have you ever been ripped off right in front of you and you can't do anything about it???? It happened to me today for the first time in my life. Here's my story: The motor in my Kirby vacuum burnt up - I took it to B&C Vacuum (love them) to diagnose it and give me an estimate for repair- and they confirmed my suspension and told me that the motor had blown & they don't work on Kirby's. So, because I would much rather fix something then throw it away - I called Yakima Kirby and took it straight over there. The kind gentlemen at B & C loaded my Kirby in the back of my SUV - had to lay it on its side - which is an important point! - no parts fell off or were unscrewed so that they clanked or fell open- the vacuum looked brand new - not dirty - not ripped - just a blown motor. I proceeded to the Kirby store... The man at Yakima Kirby had asked on the phone what kind I had. I couldn't help but notice when I arrived that he had one in his shop like mine - it was the only one without a Huge price sign posted on it- leaving the price a mystery. (My first red flag) I entered the store and he asked if I was the one who called & I said yes. I asked him if he could Check out the motor and give me a quote for repair. He took it in the back and I heard it turn on and he returned in 2 seconds flat. Yep he says "blown motor & transmission." Oh and you want a quote right? Yes I say. He says" well you would be better off buying that one for $850" - (that was the one like mine with no price sign!) I said ya, I don't want to spend that much. I said I'd like to know what it would take to fix mine.... It will cost you $350 for a motor plus $210 labor - that's $560! I could sell that one to you for $500! Wow I thought we went from $850 to $500 in about 5minutes! I had the "feeling" from the get go so now I knew it was time for me to back out of this. I said "we'll now that I know my options I will take my Kirby and talk to my husband about it." He went in the back for TEN minutes (what initially took 2 seconds now takes 10 minutes!!) - I heard clanking and moving around! All the while I'm thinking I should walk back there and confront him! (My inner voice said don't do it!) so I stayed up front. He finally came out with the Kirby. I knew instantly it was not mine! I said to him "this is not my Kirby! " Go get mine! He responded back with a practiced response - pointing at the serial number on the hood of the Kirby - saying that he could call Kirby right now and tell them the number and it would be registered to me! I said I was not born yesterday! I could clearly see that he had switched the hood with the serial number from my Kirby onto this other machine - none of the screws were in it anymore! Everything was unscrewed & there was a worn hole on the bag! My first response was to call 911! and deal with him with the cops! I was really mad and wanted him to never be able to scam any ladies again! I had My kids at lessons and I was now late picking them up so I loaded up the unscrewed imposter & left! I called B & C Sewing and told them what happened. They said it's not the first time they have heard of this happening!!!!!! Do Not Go to Yakima Kirby!!! They will steal your vacuum! Crazy!!! Most crazy thing to ever happen to me! I'm calling The Kirby Company on Monday to report that CROOK & scam artist!!! Meanwhile.... Picture of wine glass...
