I was shopping with my friend and fancied a milkshake -as you do- and he said this place do the best ones. So we came here, I got a seat next to a socket to charge my phone and we got a peanut butter and bannana and peanut butter and nutella milkshake. The latter was the best, huge milkshake that half comes still in the jug because it's too big for the glass. That's my kind of milkshake. Glass half over full. The milkshake was really thick, sightly difficult to drink with a straw. The staff were friendly and the place is American themed. I went to Ed's after dissatisfaction with GBK. Went to Ed's in Soho an age ago and it was good, this one is not so good though. You go to Ed's for the burgers, the fries and the shakes. The shakes aren't bad. They're suitably gloopy, they come in tons of different flavours and Ed's also do malts, should you desire that Malteaser taste. However. the fries and burgers aren't up to scratch. Ed's brags about its fresh burgers but my burger was clearly of the frozen variety or else it's particularly low quality. The fries are cooked well in advance and left on the hotplate meaning if you want to sit at the bar and get fries and a shake, you get food in about a minute. They've turned up bone dry, as if they were oven chips. And it's a shame. It could be great. read more

If, like me, you like burgers, Ed's is THE place. The American theme adds to the experience right down to the staff wearing traditional Diner uniform. The menu is interesting, but there isn't exactly a lot of choice. Different types of burgers, chilli dogs and salads are a mainstay. Ed's Easy Diner is an American diner and sells all the usual American food. The portions are small, especially for the price you pay and everything is priced separately so you end up with a rather large bill at the end. There is one good thing about Ed's diner - the thickshakes. They are thicker than any other I have tried and served in the metal glasses they are prepared in (unless you get one to take away). read more

This was my third visit to Ed's and decided to sit at the bar today for the first time. The chilli cheese fries that were ordered needed to be sent back due to the lack of chilli on top and the amount of fries were just a handful which was disappointing considering the £4.50 price tag. The experience sitting at the bar highlighted how "un- American" the place actually was. Watching the "chef" (a term I use loosely) chuck pre cooked pale bacon strips on the grill to be heated up and given colour to appear appetising along with pre packed American pancakes being microwaved left the whole experience one I won't be going back to. Overall the food is below average for the price you pay and even a perfect burger for £8 without any sides is hard to swallow. read more

Epic food!! I always have the chicken burger wonderfully cooked and very generous amount of chicken and you have to try the atomic onion rings which come with a variety of dips, again cooked well and generous portion also the Orio milkshake is to die for! The food is really filling! Kinda of obvious considering the amount of carbs you can consume in this place The service is pretty abysmal but if your in good company you don't really notice. The booths could be a bit more private as considering the relaxed atmosphere and easy eating you get a lot of children in here. Now, I have eaten at Ed's twice in London, and on both occasions i had a nice meal, real comfort food, but i can not say the same for Ed's at Bluewater, and being a burger boffin, it really won't do, i'd get a better burger at Maccy D's, the burger was dry and lacked flavour, the bun was floppy and limp, just not good. On the plus side, the milkshakes were real tasty, nice and thick, a real decent shake all in all Ed, you must try harder. read more

This is a very funky quirky fun place to eat. american 1950's theme complete with woking 50's jukeboxes & tunes playing in the background. The food is simple - burgers, chips, milkshakes. They also serve a dish called wet fries which I found amusing - all this means is that the chips are served in gravy! you can customise your burgers to whatever you fancy & they staff are always friendly and polite. The food isn't as cheap as a drive thru mcdonalds but it is not ridiculously expensive either - as someone else mentioned previously, beware, there is a service charge applied to the bill read more

Good food but not as cheap as other outlets. But, it looks great and makes me want to rush home and watch Happy Days! Milkshakes are good too. However, I wouldn't want to be at the end of one of the long queues often stretching outside the outlet. read more

In this restaurant I was greeted with a happy face and joyful voice I got sat at an booth (because I was with my family) I ordered a bottomless Coke and the drinks came quickly and as soon as I had finished that glass a waiter came over and said "would you like a refill" Very soon after a waiter came over with my drink and took our orders I ordered a chicken dippers plate (the plate includes fries and onion rings) the food came quick and hot the first bite of chicken dippers I took was luscious it was crispy,fresh,seasoned and moist I then ate some fries they were very fresh and crispy overall 5/5 absolutely outstanding service, Outstanding food I'm definitely going again read more

love the food especially the cheesy chips and the milkshakesthey are lovely and thick just how milkshakes should be but i wouldnt come here to eat in due to poor service.We were literally chased out of the place being questioned why we didnt leave them more of a tip than we did !! The tip was optional and as they had made a party of 8 sit on a small table when bigger ones were available and also then mess up our order twice they still wanted a tip ?? read more
