Whether it's party favours for a child's party or more sophisticated deco for adults, this store has everything. Granted, some items are a bit more than you might pay elsewhere (beware the candy!),but it's offset by the variety. You can get literally anything/everything you might need all in one spot, and it's hard to argue with that. I love just going there with a kiddo to pick out a treat (or two or ten). On our most recent trip, we found superhero finger puppets (batman, Capt America, etc) for only 40 cents each. Stick a couple in my purse and the next time we have to wait anywhere, instant entertainment. And, I could not resist a pair of Mario sunglasses that included his red hat and a dangling black moustache ... not for me, stop laughing!! Lots of fun!

When we went to set up the coffee urn no instructions were in the box or the urn there was only dirty used coffee grounds. As we did not have a lot of time to set up after the funeral service and with no instructions making the coffee was a disaster. No lines for amount of water or coffee. When I returned the coffee and hot water urns, we were told the instructions were taped on the bottom of the box . My name was taped over the instructions so we had no idea they were there. Why not put the instructions on the top, near the top or inside the box or unit. Why hide it under my name?

I really love Party City - I would shop here a LOT more if the prices weren't so high. But they carry almost everything you can think of. And they have a great supply of costumes even when it's not near Halloween - which is hard to find sometimes! Along with costumes, they also have a great variety of themed dinnerware, serving bowls, Party Favours... oh! And more balloons than you could ever need, along with Helium. I've never seen so many different balloons... and they come up with some pretty great arrangements for them. The thing that I purchase at Party City more than anything else - are little plastic Dixie cups with lids. I make Jell-O shots for almost every party I go to, and so I usually stop by once every 2 - 3 months for these gems. They're perfect for what I need them for.

In addition to having a few specific rows for Halloween Costumes, the rest of the store is filled with all different types of decorations. I needed 80's decorations for my event and didn't want to order on line so I appreciated that the store shelves were stocked and I could walk out with everything that I needed. I also appreciated that when you buy balloons from them that you get them filled up for free in store. It was super busy so if you just want to walk in and walk out with your balloons already done and not wait, then I would recommend making a pick up time for your balloons. I went in about 3 different times for more options from this store and each time all of the staff was friendly and helpful (even when they were being treated disrespectful by a rather rude customer). I will skip the frustration of the one in south common and make the trip here!

The service is excellent and swift, but there may be a bit of a wait, so make a stop at Tim Horton's beforehand. The weekends here can be crazy, and there are only five dressing rooms. It seems like every bride-to-be is here shopping on a Saturday afternoon, about six months before her "big day." You can feel the excitement in the air. Not many men in this shop, to be sure. My bridal party and I were ignored, so we found ourselves a change room for me to try on wedding dresses. The lady who did help us, only helped me into two dresses, then disappeared and my party had to try to figure out how they went on and help me in and out of them. The sales lady came to take chairs we were clearly using (four guests, four coats etc.,two were standing with me in the change room because she wasn't helping me do up the dresses-they were, and I had to tell her not to take half the chairs from us to give to another party). She was supposed to be checking on a specific colour for one of the dresses and told us multiple times she needed to call and find out, but each time she came back and we asked, she said she had to find out still. Very unprofessional . My appointment had run over- because we were waiting for 20 minutes for them to begin with, and a second sales lady told my maid of honour that I could only try one more dress on because other people needed my change room. After a 40 minute "appointment" where my bridal party did more work than any of the staff, we decided to leave. I would never ever rent from them or purchase a dress from this place. We were made to feel very unwelcome.
