I called them about 20 minutes after they opened to confirm that my car and keys had been dropped off by the tow truck the night before. Both staff members I spoke to were rude and unwilling to confirm this for me. Their reason for being rude when I called them out was that it was too soon after they opened when I called. They lost my key for two days, and when they found it, they didn't say anything until I made a big deal about it saying that the tow company would call them to figure out who's responsible for replacing my key. They told me I needed to replace my fuel pump, yet when I got a second opinion (wasn't going to trust them or give them any more of my money), it was just the relay. They'll be rude to you and they'll rip you off. Not recommended. read more

I came in with an awful squealing in my breaks along with some shaking in the engine... They talked with me about a fee to look at the car(diagnosis) being around $180. Once they looked at the car, they told me an additional $180 would be the cost to get rid of the squealing and the engine would cost me $1000... I am a student and could not afford $1000 and when talking to my dad found out I could fix the engine issue for $400 at home. When I went to pay the fee of $180 and the Squealing issue of $180 they tried to charge me $700 because each part of the car they looked at costs $180 not just a general diagnosis. After a long conversation of how that is not ok because they did not tell me, they dropped it to $500 which is still absurd. Not only that but that awful Squeal is still there... so the company took $500 from me and did absolutely nothing. read more

Honestly I've had no issues with these guys until my last visit. I advised the service advisor Haley that I was planning to take this car to Mexico so I wanted everything checked/looked into and specified any fluids to be checked/flushed. I also had an excessive rattle in my exhaust valve which I had already diagnosed. Left my car the for a week as I was out of town. Upon return my bill was 1050$ for a oil change,coolant flush, diagnostic for the exhaust (couldn't fix as the part was on back order for 6+ months) and new rear brake sensors (charged me for front even though they were good). Didn't say anything as I figured it was still reasonable. I was under the impression they did a full scope of the vehicle as I'm travelling over 5000kms to Mexico in this vehicle which I found out they did not after going through my invoice. I got my exhaust fixed at a different shop and when he popped the hood he mentioned a burning oil smell. After a diagnosis everything seemed to not be leaking besides the excessive amount of oil over pour along the front of the engine causing it to burn from the engine heat. Mechanic must have spilled some oil and didn't think to clean it up afterwords. It's been a week since I had this happen and everything is good after taking it to another shop. When I looked at the bottom of the invoice I notice a bunch of recommended services such as inspect brakes, valve cover gasket's, oil filter housing. When I called and asked what that was the service advisor was not that friendly and said she ran this though with me before hand, I said no chance as I would have told you that was all done at auto Germany a couple months ago. She then acknowledged it could be from the previous owner of the vehicle. This is when I found out they did not thoroughly check my car as requested and booked me in for a 50 point inspection scope this Thursday (earliest I could get in), safe to say I probably won't make it since I already had to pay for one elsewhere to make sure my car wasn't leaking out after they did there servicing. This BMW is great for window shopping. The place literally is wall to wall windows with its cars on display which makes for a nice look whenever you drive by. I stopped in one time to get a closer look and the entire place is conducted with class. I wasn't in their to buy anything and the staff knew that but they were still courteous and friendly. I was pretty much wasting their time but they had no problem with that. They obviously like to keep current and potential customers happy. They will not cover anything under warranty Except free oil change. i Spent lots on new x 1 repairs as nothing is covered under warranty . They play games with you and they know how to fool you . My x 5 has 50000 kms and it stopped on highway while driving . their service department called me and said that my x 5 has engine failure . They are telling me that it's not covered under warranty because my oil change last year was done when it was 4000 kms overdue . They will make any excuse to rip you off . I typically do not complain. If it rains a whole week on holidays I will say it was a great vacation, I can still watch every Oilers game with optimism. But I have to give a review on Edmonton BMW-MINI Edmonton /ZP Holdings Inc. for fair warning. Being employed in the service industry I know there are going to be customers who have been treated unfairly, those customers we spend time mending the issue even if it means a loss in profit to ensure they will return or at least recommend us especially in a time of economic downturn. That is our companies core value. I know three people with bad experiences here, and I am unfortunately one of them and apparently 9 out of 10 of the reviews can't be wrong and prove your best course of action would be to tread carefully with these guys. Not sure how BMW-MINI Canada and/or ZP Holdings Inc allow the management team to run the company the way they do. I would assume they do not know, which may in fact be the root of the problem. They know how to cheat with you . Any car you buy from them, nothing is covered under warranty. They will make any excuse to tell, you that its not covered under warranty. Brand new car had engine failure and they told me that i went 4000 kms over to do oil change and thats why engine failure is not covered under warranty and engine replacement will cost 30000 dollars. I was charged over $3000 for a transmission problem after only having the car for 4 months. And now I need an oil change, iv had the car for nearly 40,000 km and I'v only had 1 so far. they say I have to wait anothe 10000km for the other one or else I have to pay for it. This is crazy. Besides the service station, the sales guy was great, very informative and helped me chose the best car for me. I have had 2 MINIS and unfortunately both have issues that seem to NEVER get resolved at this Dealership! This dealership is enough to have driven me to trying to sell my current MINI..Good luck with that though...Their mechanics are uneducated about the MINI product, they dance around the issue you brought the car in for. They never follow up with me, I am constantly having to call them to check on progress of my car.. I am so dissappointed with this dealership, it's a shame they are our only choice in Edmonton. Never go back to this dealership. After a BMW safety recall service, my BMW X6 AC lost cool air totally, go back and they said they top it up for me, Couple days later another dealer told me it was only 1/3 full. I have to pay repair the AC. The rear brakes make big noise. The coated anti-rust break disc both of them get rust on it. And the steel disc doesn't match from front and the back.When I ask, they said that's normal for BMW Car!!! Both front tires get exactly same screw nail in. Both radiator hose to the engine leaks on the same time after "recall services" I did paid $120 extra for them to check out the car's condition while visit. Never find out anything wrong on the report. The manager never help to resolve those problems. So I never go back to there! read more

MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE! Whenever I have to deal with the Staff at Edmonton BMW and MINI, or Service Department I immediately regret my purchase. I have run into multiple problems with my car, that should always be a quick fix but it seems to be a daunting task for MINI to deal with. On June 11th I had brought my car in for a service appointment to diagnose a clunk in the rear suspension, and the audio input on the stereo not working properly(both to be covered under my warranty). After Diagnoses, I was then told that parts would need to be ordered and I would clearly have to wait for them to arrive(new plug and rear sway bar links). Half of the ordered parts arrived on June 15th. The other on June 25th. I was never called and informed of this at all. I called MINI on July 7th to find out the parts had been there for almost 2 weeks. Completely unacceptable. Upon booking in my car for the parts to be installed, I expressed my unimpressed feelings and some damaged I discover that had been done to the car at the previous appointment. My next appointment was for July 17th, so I brought my car in the night before so they would have extra time with it. I was called twice on the 17th, first to let me know what was being done and then a second to let me know they didn't get to my car that day. Now my car wouldn't be done until July 20th. leaving me without a vehicle for the weekend. A complete inconvenience to my life, but obviously not a concern for Mini. Upon picking my car up from my July 11th appointment; my Boyfriend discovered that the technician used a small screw driver or similar device, to pop the usb/auxilary plug out of the dash. This left damage to the surrounding dash, and is very unpleasing to look at. I called MINI immediately and voiced my concerns! I was then told that they were sorry and that its is such a long and extensive job removing the dash. So i guess the technician pried the plug out of the dash to save time. This didn't seem to concern the service rep at all. After further conversation they started to make me feel i shouldn't worry about the damage; and to feel guilty for making them do so much work for such a small part to be replaced. The other part to be replaced is the rear sway bar links in the suspension. Easily finished in 1 hour, this job could have been done at any automotive repair shop. and they would have had it done the same day for a small price. Why have I been waiting 1 month to get this fixed through my MINI warranty? I would have gladly paid another shop to do it in a acceptable time frame. Now its sunday July 19th and I'm expecting to pick my car up tomorrow. What will this experience be like? will my car be fixed correctly? these questions are something you should never be asking yourself. When you purchase a vehicle of high quality for good money, you expect to be treated to a high standard. Clearly MINI of Edmonton doesn't hold this standard or believe in it. I have dealt with multiple MINI dealerships and they all have been a big disappointment, and completely unpleasant staff to deal with. DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE, DONT GET YOUR SERVICE DONE HERE. This dealership is awful. The service is absolutely appalling. Getting through to the service department is next to impossible as no one ever seems to answer the phone. I kid you not, I have tried 4 times this week, all unsuccessful. If they do answer, you are put on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes and when someone finally does answer they say things like "Have you been helped yet?" making it seem like you were forgotten in the first place. I took my car in to be serviced last winter and I was about to leave on vacation. I told the service department that I was out of town for 10 days and I didn't care when they serviced the car so long as it was ready when I got back. They said that was no problem as the car only needed a few hours of work. When I called the dealership from the airport when I returned, they said that the car was sitting in the parking lot and the work had not even been started. There were zero apologies and the car ended up taking four more days. I asked for a courtesy car as I need a car to get to work, and they said they don't offer that service. There were zero attempts made to help amend the situation- even after speaking with the manager. Completely unacceptable! I am extremely disappointed with the service that I receive each and every time I go into the dealership. The staff is rude, from the receptionist, sales rep, to the service department. read more

We've purchased 2 vehicles from Edmonton BMW and, had horrible experiences both times. The sales manager engaged in deceitful and unethical business practices by removing certain items from the invoice without advising us, he did this so that he could give us the vehicle for the price we were willing to pay. Luckily I noticed this prior to taking delivery of the vehicle, we had to fight with this sales manager in order to have the items placed back on the invoice. We've had such terrible service from the sales staff, the manager and the service staff that we will never purchase another BMW vehicle. Did you know this dealership has between a D- rating with the BBB - that says it all. We've spent a great deal of money buying what are supposed to be high end vehicles and with that I have high expectations on how I'm treated as a consumer - both before and after my purchase and how the vehicle will operate including the quality of the product I purchase, all in all I have been let down. If we have to pay for any services, the cost of those services are not competitive. I do not recommend purchasing a BMW, I do not recommend this dealership or any of the staff, they wouldn't know good customer service if it were standing in front of them. read more

I had a truly HORRIBLE experience with the service department, and the service manager in particular. I only went in for a recall on the passenger side airbag, that's it. But they call me back and say they found all kinds of leaks - power steering, multiple engine oil leaks but not sure from where, rear springs need replacing, total cost of over $3,500. (Scary when they did a winter inspection just 10 months ago and none of these issues were present!) I asked how severe the "bad" leaks were and they didn't know - I asked them to look at the fluid levels to determine this as obvioulsy if the power steering reservoir is empty the leak is severe, if it's full the leak isn't really a problem, same with the oil level. Common sense, right?? The tech said he would look, and then recommended an engine shampoo... later they say the engine oil leak was from the oil pan gasket, but STILL hadn't looked at the fluid levels. So technician looks while I'm on the phone and says all fluids are ABOVE full. So I ask why they're charging me for the engine shampoo when the BMW TRAINED tech didn't do the simple, easy task of checking the fluid levels FIRST?? Eduardo the Service Manager then calls and is very rude on the phone, when I ask for clarification on the severity of the leaks he outright INSULTS ME saying I don't understand English when in fact English is a second language for him and the technician. He then refuses to service the car, demands I pick it up and tells me to take it elsewhere. What car dealership tells customers to go elsewhere??? He then re-emphasizes the power steering leak is substantial yet when I pressure him to confirm how that can be when the fluid level is ABOVE full he DODGES the question completely! And doesn't realize THEY topped up the fluids 10 months ago when they did the winter inspection. So in 10 months this "substantial" P/S leak hasn't leaked a drop! I was looking for simple clarification of the severity of the leaks and instead the truly Rude and Hostile service manager Eduardo made it sound like a dodgy Rip-Off scheme to get $3500 of my money. If that's customer service then they should shut their doors for good. Good dealerships will work with their customers through issues - so I'll be going to Bavaria from now on. read more

By far the smoothest and most positive experience I ever had purchasing a new vehicle. These guys know how to treat a customer right and offered the best deal on the first try which is something I highly respected (trust me I did my homework). I was dealing directly with the managers (Sam) and (Terry) then a salesman was assigned to build an M240i convertible on his computer as that was initially what I wanted to get when I set foot in the dealership. I only spent about 15 minutes dealing with him in total and immediately gathered that he was not knowledgeable and also demonstrated lack of patience and slight arrogance which I did not appreciate. After leaving me alone for an extended period of time to help another customer, I became impatient and approached Jerrald for his assistance. All I wanted to know was which vehicles were in stock at the time and Jerrald was quite helpful in that regard. He also knew a lot more about model specific options/features. I didn't decide on anything that day and came another time after beginning to consider an X3 M40i. Jerrald helped set up the test drive and I decided on a grey one. He worked hard to ensure I had the options I wanted which was quite evident in his dealings. The finance manager was also great (Tinh) and made the paper signing as smooth as can be. On the delivery day, Chad took the time to run me through every option on the new vehicle which to be honest was quite helpful. Usually you just get handed the keys and you're on your way but Chad, Jerrald and the management team went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the new car even after signing the papers. This is an update to my original review of Edmonton BMW. I am now convinced the service department charges customers for work that is not performed on their vehicles. My justification for this is as follows: 2012 BMW X1 On May 13, 2016, I took my 2012 BMW X1 to Edmonton BMW for an oil change and a warranty recall on the "engine oil filter module". The vehicle had 73,392 km at that time. There was no charge for the warranty work and I paid $222.09 for the oil change. That summer, the vehicle reported the oil level within the engine was at the minimum level which was surprising as there neither any sign of oil leakage nor burning of oil. Additional oil was added to address the low level. On April 7, 2017, the X1 was taken to Eurasia Automotive for an oil service. The vehicle had 89,763 km and had reached the 16,000 threshold between oil changes. Knowing that the engine had previously reached the minimum oil level, the technicians at Eurasia Automotive captured and measured the used engine oil to determine if the engine was actually low on oil or if the internal oil level measuring unit was faulty. They found only about four litres of oil despite the fact that the engine is supposed to take 5.5 litres. In addition, I was advised that the oil was possibly the dirtiest oil they had ever seen come out of an engine. The issue of low oil has not reoccurred which suggests that the oil change I had paid for in May, 2016 was not performed. 2012 BMW 328XI On February 3, 2017, I took my 2012 BMW 328XI to Edmonton BMW to investigate a check engine light and perform an oil service. The vehicle had 60,703 km at that time. The check engine light was traced to a failed ignition coil. A new ignition coil was installed along with replacing all six spark plugs. The total cost including oil service was $941.62. On March 22, 2018, this vehicle was taken to Eurasia Automotive for an oil service. The vehicle had 72,149 km which was well within the 16,000km travel distance between oil changes yet it had been more than a year so I considered it best that the car be serviced. Oddly, the vehicle reported the oil service was not due for another 18,000km or February 2019. Just days before the service, the car started generating a whining noise which emanated from the engine compartment. The technicians at Eurasia Automotive investigated the noise and found it was coming from the oil filter. Investigation found that the oil filter was so clogged that it had collapsed and the sound was oil being forced past the filter. The Eurasia technicians found the oil to be extremely dirty and given the low mileage between this and the previous oil change, it again appears that the previous oil service from Edmonton BMW was not performed. At this time I have contacted both the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council and BMW Canada to share the story above along with copies of the relevant service records. I would avoid Edmonton BMW at all costs. read more

In reality, we were there less than 1.5 hours and had already planned on signing the lease beforehand, just needed a night to sleep on it. This was the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I had just written off my Mercedes, and decided I wanted to go try a BMW SUV, I got there and they pulled out the one I had wanted and let me test drive it although every time I even went anywhere above the speed limit they told me to slow down, which is whatever but didn't get to really test the vehicle at all. I the. Agreed to purchase the vehicle. Signed the papers that day but was waiting for my insurance write off money to come in which was going against the loan. There was no issue with that. The issue was once I got to this finance manager, he sent in the request for my approval. I get a call the next day telling my that the bank stated I had bad payment history and I told him that was crazy I have never missed a payment one this loan or my last loan. He then told me to call the bank and try to get it straightened out, which I did! I called as well I went into the branch, the bank looked into everything and said I am in perfect standing with them and that I had never missed any payments with them ever, which I knew! I then decided to drive to Edmonton bmw to speak with the finance manager since he never returned my phone calls. I walked and as I was trying to explain to him what the bank said and handed him a business card from the bank to call her and speak with her and she will tell you there is absolutely nothing wrong with my credit nor have I ever missed a payment or have even been late on one. He was not listening at all told me, well listen I've been on the phone all day and I'm gonna need a co signer, which on my last 2 car loans I have never needed that, I said no that's fine I'll look somewhere else. He had no interest in speaking with me, no interest in helping me, no interest in what I had to say after he told me to go call the bank. Then to come find out they sold the car right under me. All I have to say is, these people get paid a very nice check especially from buying those cars and they should appreciate your sale and business. There deceitful and cowards and then tried to blame it on me like I was the one I couldn't get financed for. I was financed for more money on my Benz then I was for there SUV but apparently I have bad payment history which I don't not even close. Sad ways to do business . And just found out they have a - D on the BBB stay far away from this car lot and these shady people, go give your money to someone who wants to do there job and work for and helps your out instead of making things way harder and frustrating then they need to be !!!! read more

They are also great if you want to buy an overpriced car from a company that charges their employees for car insurance which they just take out of their paycheck. They also have monthly charges for a social fund even though no one has seen a social function in years and they will charge their employee if the car is damaged if the dealer's insurance doesn't cover the cost, which by the way is completely illegal. I have had 2 minis and have had them both serviced at MINI Edmonton, although I have no comments regarding the sales as I bought mine used, the service department has been exceptional. Although the work is pricey, which is to be expected from a German vehicle, I have never had any issues getting my car in for appointments or having issues unresolved. As well, the service reps and managers have always been very understanding of my student income, or lack there of, and have helped me manage the costs of repairs in any way they can. One of the service reps, Jonathan, has been especially good to me, keeping me updated with the condition of my car and the progress of the repairs, I have never experienced such awesome service. I will happily continue to service my vehicle at MINI Edmonton as long as I can. Great work guys! read more

I have done four deals with Bavaria BMW in Edmonton: 2 deals for myself and 2 my my relatives within 2 years. I recently changed the dealer because Bavaria offer me a very low price on my trade in car. I bought an X3 from Edmonton BMW. On the delivery day, the front bumper got bubble on the paint. They ordered another vehicle and agreed to change the bumper for me. Couple days after driving my car, the hood paint got peeled off. I came back and talked to them. The outcome was that it was my fault because I opened the hood and turn on the wiper at the same time?!!! They won't replace the hood nor repair the paint. They will do an estimate but I have to pay for my repair. I am not happy with the outcome but I don't want to say anything at the same time. I'll let the judgement up to you. I just don't want to describe any more about how bad the service at this dealer. I had 4 deals with Bavaria BMW, I was happy with their service and courtesy. First deal with Edmonton BMW, they gave me full of stress. To save you time and troubles like I have, make a good decision between Bavaria BMW and Edmonton BMW. read more

We enjoyed the buying experience but that was where the happiness ended. Eduardo, General Manager, of the service department has been selling defective Perelli performance tires as they only last 1 summer season. Then he and his team give everyone the same "pat" answer that they will put in a claim to Perelli to have the tires replaced but through many stalls and non-returned calls one finally gives up. We got 16K on the original set of Perelli P-Zeros on an M-Performance 3 series that my wife drives like a granny. Eduardo supposedly put in a claim and then we never heard from the GM again. I bought a brand new 2011 BMW M3 Cabriolet fully loaded from this dealership in 2010. I will suggest anyone in Edmonton to go to the Bavaria BMW dealership in Edmonton to buy and service their BMW cars; that is where I am going now. I did not have any problems with Bavaria on my old BMW and the servicing they do now on my M3 that I unfortunately bought from Edmonton BMW. I have had issues with Edmonton BMW and they have dragged on for quite some time now without coming to an adequate solution to all parties involved. I have tried to work with Edmonton BMW's management team for months but they are uncooperative and unfit to be working in these roles. I have many emails to prove their incompetence in business practices. I have advised BMW AGs executive leadership team to take appropriate action against this car dealership, my recommendation was to pull their license, as I have tried with BMW Canada to no avail with issues around sales, leasing and service. I have also submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, which Edmonton BMW has simply ignored. I am not the only one here in Edmonton that feels this way about this questionable dealership. The only value add I am going to receive from these people is the hope that my horrible experience with Edmonton BMW will educate these people on how bad they compare to other car dealerships both new and used. This dealership should not be allowed to carry the BMW logo. They are an embarrassment to the brand. read more

If I could rate negative stars, I would. I bought my car from there in March 2008. It was a MINI certified used, and only had 13K kms. I have had MANY major issues with my car. I had a bad experience when buying the car, the price was driven up $3K when the papers were to be signed because they knew I really wanted it. I still purchased the car, and 6 months later it had to go back for its first service appointment. The clutch had to be replaced (the previous driver must have driven it into the ground) and a gear needed to be replaced due to 'excessive play'. They replaced that and their attitude was bad. Then we brought it in a few months later because the light behind the door handle was working intermittently. After investigation, it was discovered that the wires were corroded and the entire wiring harness had to be replaced. This part was ordered from Germany and they replaced it. We parked the MINI for a short time and once we started to drive it again, we immediately noticed major electrical problems. They had not grounded the wiring harness properly and we lost all power to our instrument panel. They took my car apart and in the process, damaged the dash. When I approached them about it after I noticed it, they actually accused me of stabbing the dash myself. They are a MINI "Certified" service department, but yet every single time I take my car in for service, it comes out with at least twice the amount of problems. I can not tell you how much I caution against buying or servicing your MINI here. Yesterday, I was driving on the Anthony Henday when we lost all drivetrain. I will drive my car to Calgary MINI just for the experience. I am tired of the run around all the time. A car as 'young' as mine should not have this many issues and I am completely convinced it is from the seemingly unexperienced service staff and the experience itself. read more

Every time I've taken my mini to Mini Edmonton, the service staff have been rude, do not listen to input on issues my vehicle is having, and they pretend not to see a customer when we enter the building. Everyone looks down hoping customers won't disturb them. Got a warranty issue? They'll tell you anything from maybe you got the issue all wrong to excusing the issue-trying to explain it's not a warranty one. The explanations are nonsensical and outrageous. In fact if you call in on a warranty issue, they'll actually refuse to book you in. They told me to see any Canadian Tires for puncture in my run flats and that Canadian Tires "should" honour the warranty. If they ever admit to being at fault, don't expect an apology or better service or that they'll even comp their charges. In the three years I've had my mini, every experience at this service location has been terrible. I look forward to the day when Edmonton has another mini dealer. Anyone with a BMW I would suggest going to Bavaria BMW. The same service people looking after minis service BMW's at Mini Edmonton. Bavaria, in my past experience, were excellent and they truly looked after their customers. Don't expect that at Mini Edmonton. read more

I went to this dealership with the full intention of purchasing a Mini, I was given a test drive and the sales rep who was helping us could not have been more insulting. Not only did she insult my driving skills, but she talked me out of getting a Cooper S, or a Cooper and tried to insist on the much lower priced Cooper Basic which I was not at all interested in. The quotes that were given for monthly lease payments were extremely inaccurate and when she tried calling back for a follow up visit she gave me the impression that I was inconveniencing her and when I decided to cancel the appointment (not surprisingly) she even tried guilting me that she was coming in on a Saturday especially for my appointment. I went to Mini Crowfoot in Calgary and am currently leasing my Mini Cooper from them. I was given fantastic service and great test drives in comparison. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to MINI Edmonton for anything. I will be driving to Calgary for each Mini that I decide to purchase! read more
