There is a wide variety of therapeutic skin lotions, and a concise selection of vitamins and supplements. Burt's Bees and Avalon are also on the shelf. The duty pharmacist speaks with respect to each customer wanting a prescription filled, and I have stood aside while the meds are dealt with - my product can wait - I would rather have the focus on meds if it were my prescription. That said, what strikes me, and keeps me returning is the fine attitude of the pharmacist on duty. And for those - ahem - private functions, the selection of gels and condoms is surprisingly - um, blush - large. And right at eye level! Merchandise is thoughtfully arranged, with boxed tissues and paper towels up top, sunscreen, shampoos and stuff for all of your body parts easily located on natural wood shelves. You won't find a toaster or furniture here - but a fine array of potions, lotions, salts, and oils. The entrance is on the driveway into the parking lot, on the Main Street side, between the credit union and the IGA. There is a bistro table and two chairs outside where you may perch and rest before continuing the Tour de Main Street.

My twin bots are really anxious of getting the shot but tha ks to the great patience of ms chloe the pharmacist who really really great on her profession she managed to administer the shot in spite of multiple attempts and lots of assurance for my kids. Sarah and chloe did a great job of that time and i am truly grateful of their service. This pharmacy is one of a kind, the service and the treatment to their customers/guest is something the best unforgettable experience i have gotten so far from a pharmacy here in canada. 5 stars to both ladies.

Kent Pharmacy does exactly what you'd expect from a pharmacy. You provide them with your prescription or have your physician send it over and they fill it for you. Not unlike any other pharmacies, they'll take note if you've been prescribed something new and educate you on if it's best to take in the morning, evening, with or without food, etc. It's hard for a pharmacy to go above and beyond, but I've received exceptional service from them and witnessed it as well. On one occasion, I was prescribed a new drug and after educated me on it's side effects they provided me with supplementary vitamins to counter some of the effects with the additional effect of benefiting my diet. I didn't expect this whatsoever and even wondered if this is normal. Most recently while waiting for my prescription to be filled, I witnessed them helping someone who was asking about a glucose monitoring machine. All the person wanted was to take a pic so they knew what it looked like and the pharmacist suggested she take it home to keep. Again, I don't know if this is common practice, but I thought it was really nice of them. In any case, I will continue to pass my prescriptions through them even though there are many pharmacies around me. (I think New West has more pharmacies than coffee shops.)

The pharmacists are friendly, attentive and hard working, quick but meticulous. They are great with prioritizing for efficiency, and working with one another to ensure that customer service is always first and foremost. Unlike at the bigger stores, you get the idea that they are working hard and doing a good job for you because they want to, not just because they have to, or should. They provide punctual service, with fluid workflow even during busier hours, and if you are a regular , they prioritize learning your prescriptions and medical needs/history, so that things are always ready for you when it comes time for your refill pickups. My family and I are treated LIKE family here. There is even fresh, hot coffee throughout the day, everyday, until closing, which is pretty much accompanied by donuts or timbits on the regular as well. In addition, the store is always clean, tidy and organized. These kinds of personal touches, make even the busier days, or longer wait times, seem like nothing at all. I highly recommend this pharmacy. They are even connected and affiliated with a doctor's clinic now, that is also a walk in clinic, and frequently accepts new patients, if you are looking for a regular doctor. Both places are great and I would definitely recommend using their services!

Someone got the idea to renovate the space into an Integrative Holistic Mandala Pharmacy full of $100 face creams, locust juice kidney tonics, and plenty of woo. If you're into that kind of thing, you'll find all the jojoba soap you'd like to find, even if it's not from brands you're familiar with. As far as a pharmacy for filling prescriptions, I can't say. I went in to get some rubbing alcohol, as I need to IM inject for a medical condition. The labcoat person immediately made jokes as to whether or not I planned on drinking it there. Har har--you don't have me laugh, guv. As for the cashier -- a quintessential specimen of all that has become pretentious in Kitsilano's strange combination of Buddhism and Botox -- a more snobby person you wouldn't find. Customer service matters. Friendly service matters. Why patronize a shop that acts patronizingly towards you? There are plenty of friendly alternative pharmacies in the area. I'd avoid this one.

But my husband just got back from his medical specialist who told him she too, liked dealing with this pharmacy, so I need to give credit where it's due. We've been going here regularly since my first review and we only like it all the more. We've had better advice and personal service here than any other pharmacy ever. The owner and head pharmacist are efficient and professional, yet gracious. It's a pleasure, not a chore, dealing with them. I could go on and on but that would be gushing!
