The pharmacy is tiny but it does have pretty much all the over the counter medication you expect to find. The pharmacy is quite helpful. If you are not coming here by foot than parking can be difficult to find depending on the time of day you show up here.

Kent Pharmacy does exactly what you'd expect from a pharmacy. You provide them with your prescription or have your physician send it over and they fill it for you. Not unlike any other pharmacies, they'll take note if you've been prescribed something new and educate you on if it's best to take in the morning, evening, with or without food, etc. It's hard for a pharmacy to go above and beyond, but I've received exceptional service from them and witnessed it as well. On one occasion, I was prescribed a new drug and after educated me on it's side effects they provided me with supplementary vitamins to counter some of the effects with the additional effect of benefiting my diet. I didn't expect this whatsoever and even wondered if this is normal. Most recently while waiting for my prescription to be filled, I witnessed them helping someone who was asking about a glucose monitoring machine. All the person wanted was to take a pic so they knew what it looked like and the pharmacist suggested she take it home to keep. Again, I don't know if this is common practice, but I thought it was really nice of them. In any case, I will continue to pass my prescriptions through them even though there are many pharmacies around me. (I think New West has more pharmacies than coffee shops.)

They are great with prioritizing for efficiency, and working with one another to ensure that customer service is always first and foremost. Unlike at the bigger stores, you get the idea that they are working hard and doing a good job for you because they want to, not just because they have to, or should. They provide punctual service, with fluid workflow even during busier hours, and if you are a regular , they prioritize learning your prescriptions and medical needs/history, so that things are always ready for you when it comes time for your refill pickups. My family and I are treated LIKE family here. There is even fresh, hot coffee throughout the day, everyday, until closing, which is pretty much accompanied by donuts or timbits on the regular as well. In addition, the store is always clean, tidy and organized. These kinds of personal touches, make even the busier days, or longer wait times, seem like nothing at all. I highly recommend this pharmacy. They are even connected and affiliated with a doctor's clinic now, that is also a walk in clinic, and frequently accepts new patients, if you are looking for a regular doctor. Both places are great and I would definitely recommend using their services!

Going the extra mile…read more When other drug stores tell you your prescription is no longer available from the manufacturer, or tell you that there is nothing available for your ailment, check out this pharmacy. I know from personal experience that they go the extra mile for customers, and they have gone out of the way to make one particular prescription of mine available that I know for a fact that no other pharmacy in the Vancouver carries (I called them - almost all). My doctor has since told me that in his experience, this pharmacy does that a lot. They also take the time to ensure you talk to a knowledgeable pharmacist and get all your questions answered. I have moved all my prescriptions over to this pharmacy. They won't get rich off of me, I'm healthy as a horse and seldom need prescriptions. But when I do, it's Burrard Pharmacy I go to.

Checked my phone in the store to make sure I was covered by my insurance. I asked the clerk if it was refundable and she said as long as it wasn't used. I thought, that's fine, I'll just make sure before I use it. When I got to a computer that same day, I went on to my insurance website to submit a reimbursement claim only to find out that it was not covered due to the type of brace that I got. (Those specific claim requirements did not show up on my phone when checking, only on the computer). Went back to return the brace and they said no returns after it left the store. I said, "But you said it's OK as long as it hasn't been used." I also pointed to the return policy on the receipt where it says "15 days". Little did I know that the fine print read "except healthcare products". ITS A FREAKIN' PHARMACY! The female clerk (Vivian? I believe) pointed this out with a rude tone of voice. The product wasn't even opened and I was literally there a couple hours before. I told her I didn't realize it was non-refundable. She said she told me while I was trying it on. I told her I "don't think she did." And she reacted very poorly by saying "Are you calling me a liar?" I said, "No I'm not, I just don't think you said it". She said, "Sorry but I can't help you if you're lying to my face". The NERVE of that woman! She flatly called me liar and I all I wanted to do was return something I never even used. She offered me a store credit instead. I said forget it, I don't want $100+ in store credit at a pharmacy. What am I going to buy? $100+ in candy and bandages? Eventually, she let me exchange it for a $15 ankle wrap. That worked for me. But, the customer service here is horrendous especially after calling me a liar in front of the whole store. Outrageous and unacceptable. I went on the website and checked the return policy on "healthcare" products: "Personal care items, clothing, fashion apparel and personal accessory items that have been used, removed from the original packing and/or had tags removed cannot be returned. This includes but is not limited to items such as earrings, breast pumps, pillows, mattresses, cushions, undergarments and foundation garments." Again, it wasn't used and it hadn't been removed from the original packaging. Looks like Vivian DID in fact lie to me.

Dinky like ~200-300 sqft of actual retail space. The rest of it is for the pharmacy, i.e. the dispensary. The entire store lease space is like 500-600. Don't expect too much other than filling basic prescriptions.
