With less than one hour before closing, it was very understandable. We ordered two drinks, the Lychee Git and Matcha Heavenly. ELOREA pairs their drinks with the perfume scent. They suggest smelling the scent card before taking your first sip. The pairing of scent then taste was divine. Git was better than Heavenly. But the matcha Heavenly was a really good clean cup of matcha. Ambiance was a solid 5/5. Lots of places to sit. Open airy room to sample the scents. Outdoor seating that opened with city views. This place transports you out of KTown, and not to Europe, but to a remote part of an upscale town. My wife and I both agreed we'd definitely come back to KTown for ELOREA. Enter Tanisha - she knew the owner from a prior job and was hand picked to work here. "Just come" the owner said. This woman took the time to go by each perfume , one by one, and explain them to me in ways and words like "it smells like violin strings" and you know what, they absolutely did. And you know what? I've never smelled a fucking violin string - that's how good this woman was. We were laughing, we were loud, we were like old friends smelling the world's finest scents alone in our own space - no one else in the store, the epitome of tailored service. I smelled all of their lines, Vietnamese coffee appeared mid session -- a pleasant yet somehow expected in a way as the experience was just that good that i thought to myself "they probably have coffee here" I've got a little collection of scents and i am so happy to have found this store and have met Tanisha.

It's like a magical journey for my olfactory system and it's never a quick visit. Persephenie's shop is stocked with a dizzying array of resins, oils and scents. Her shelves display her eponymous line of body care and perfumes as well as essential oils, handcrafted jewelry and burners and Japanese and Indian incense. I have her full line of bodycare and perfumes and much to my husband's consternation, I am addicted. Her Rose Paka Healing Restorative Butter soothes my daughter's inflamed eczema. The Nanu Lei Bath Powder is a relaxing and calming indulgence for my sons. Island Violet is something I would take to a deserted island. I wear her perfumes daily, Leatherwood during the day and Datura at night. These perfumes are unlike all the commercial perfumes out there. The linger subtly, does not sour after a few hours and never cloying. The Bedouin is her all botanical perfume and is my daughter's favourite scent. And believe it or not, my boys wear Kildren regularly. Her shop is also a great place to stock up on incense and I am a huge fan of her handcrafted burners. And I am this close to getting a diffuser. Although we were greeted when we walked in, no one followed up to offer assistance or check in. The overall atmosphere felt noticeably cold and unwelcoming. None of the associates were smiling, and one employee in particular appeared visibly irritated, which made the space uncomfortable. At one point, I even paused and mentioned to my sister how off-putting the energy felt. Instead of feeling welcomed or encouraged to explore, I felt like a nuisance for being in the store. This was disappointing, especially given how much I enjoy the brand and how excited I was to make a purchase. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works toward creating a warmer, more attentive in-store experience that aligns with the Le Labo brand and customer expectations.

Perfume shopping and sampling has changed for the worse since COVID, so we would purchase hauls of samples online only to like very little out of so many. We went here to check out a few new ones and discovered a discontinued scent I was able to purchase a full bottle of. As always, I buy the samples first before making the commitment and we purchased a couple we liked. The owner and Maurice were so nice. I had some great conversations with them and I wish the other stores we went to were as friendly in LA. I would definitely come back in the future.
