Joe helped me sample through several bottles and I felt like he genuinely wanted me to find something I liked. He kindly offered me a sample to take home as I wanted to smell and experience the dry down. Not even 30 minutes later, my boyfriend and I turned the car around to purchase the full bottle. I have her full line of bodycare and perfumes and much to my husband's consternation, I am addicted. Her Rose Paka Healing Restorative Butter soothes my daughter's inflamed eczema. The Nanu Lei Bath Powder is a relaxing and calming indulgence for my sons. Island Violet is something I would take to a deserted island. I wear her perfumes daily, Leatherwood during the day and Datura at night. These perfumes are unlike all the commercial perfumes out there. The linger subtly, does not sour after a few hours and never cloying. The Bedouin is her all botanical perfume and is my daughter's favourite scent. They have a sign that says retail but they are not helpful unless you're a store owner. I stood there looking at merchandise and one woman was just on the phone while another two employees were just sitting around talking to each other. It was very rude how they ignored me and treated me less because I wasn't a store owner. Why do you have a sign that says you make retail sales? Don't waste your time here there are plenty better stores very close by.

My friend and I had an amazingly special time here creating our own perfumes in this lovely shop…read morewhere they are curating your own scents! They take down information on your preferred scents - things you like, don't like (ie floral, tropical, woodsy, spicy etc) and will come up with "mystery" ingredients for you to smell. What's amazing is when you discover things that you didn't think you liked blending so well with new ingredients (a surprise for me was pink peppercorn and blueberry!). Interestingly you learn whether your skin is absorptive basal or acidic as certain ingredients will smell differently on your skin once applied. They suggest you also dab versus rub into your skin and also go outside to see if the scent changes in the air a few minutes in. I found that my skin was absorptive which actually impacted the amounts of ingredients that they put in my unique scent. Also they will keep your formula on file so if you want to reorder or even get a lotion or a candle, you can contact them directly. This was a blast of an afternoon and I loved it! Would definitely do this again!
